  1. His passing and vision are below average, his tactical understanding is poor (one of the reasons he was moved into a more forward position) and he's slow. I'd write a longer post if I wasn't tired of repeating things that have been said multiple times before so if you're interested in a more in-depth explanation why Fellaini shouldn't be considered a player for the double pivot you can look it up on several pages in here. With Moyes going to United Fellaini won't be an option for us anyway. Can't see him going anywhere than to Manchester United.
  2. He shouldn't be in the discussion because he's not an option for the double pivot. Simple as that.
  3. I can't believe people still consider him an option...
  4. I simply love how our supporters make out problems that don't even exist.
  5. Watching Paulo's speech brought tears to my eyes for the second time this week. A true professional who made his mark at Chelsea not only as a great footballer but as an absolute gentleman that he is. Young players that join us should look up to him just like they do with the likes of Lampard, Drogba etc. This might be slightly off-topic but I feel like writing it somewhere down. We're getting closer to the end of the old guard, aren't we? And it's more obvious and hurting than ever. With Paulo leaving who's still left from the old (Mourinho) days? Cech, Lamps, Terry, Cole, Mikel and Essien, right?! It's unbelievable how fast time flies, really. And there's nothing we can do about it. I know everyone's looking forward to the new generation at this football club (I do too) but there's something inside me dying nonetheless. I'm emotional seeing "just" Paulo saying good bye, I don't even wanna think about how I'll feel about Lamps retiring.
  6. The perfect way to end a season.
  7. "By his standards, that's a chance" - commentator on Torres' header.
  8. Can't remember to have ever seen such a lack of communication like that from Ash and Cahill there.
  9. Anyone else re-watching the final right now?
  10. Nothing will ever come close to this. Nothing. This was everything we waited for so long. We went through so much, so fucking much. The Monaco debacle. The Liverpool semi-final phantom goal. The Liverpool penalty shootout. The lost final vs United. Ovrebo's robbery. Then, last season, the final group-stage game vs Valencia. The Napoli tie. Those two heroic games vs Barcelona. And finally the end of the journey, the win vs Bayern. As Gary Neville put it, this is more than football. This is what we as fans live for.
  11. Martin Tyler: "HE'S DONE IT!! The greatest night in the history of Chelsea Football Club! European Champions! They've beaten Bayern in their own backyard! They've found the holy grail after adventure frought with danger! And Drogba may never play for Chelsea again, he'll never be forgotten. He's immortal at this football club, Gary Neville." Gary Neville: "It can never get better than this for English football, in this season the most incredible season. The 19th of May 2012, FIFA, UEFA, stop, FOOTBALLLL!!!!" Martin Tyler: "But then it was Drogba, and Drogba, and here, Drogba. The last kick, the winning kick. The man who lives for finals. The bigger the occasion, the better the response." Gary Neville: "They're crying. It was Drogba, it was the angels, it was the heavens, it was the stars, it was the gods, it was everything for Chelsea. This is not anything to do with football. This is more than football, this is spirit. Never giving in, fighting to the end, that English spirit running right the way through this Champions League for Chelsea." Martin Tyler: "What a road, what a journey, what a finish."
  12. Jesus fucking Christ. I'm done with this thread. I'm absolutely done with it, smh.
  13. I'd like that Arsenal one if it wasn't for the collar, ugh.
  14. Definitely Bayern. If Bayern lose this one also, they're really, really fucked. The likes of Schweinsteiger and Lahm would then have lost every big game in the last 5 years (!) which would they would never ever recover from. If you watched Schweinsteiger the first 6 months or so after Bayern lost to us you saw a player who had no confidence at all. He was literally a ghost on the pitch whenever he played. Fair play to him for getting back to a decent form but he's not gonna be able to do that again so this final will be decisive to what's gonna happen with Bayern in the years to come.
  15. Defo Mata. I don't even see a point why this should be up for debate. Edit: What Sinine said.
  16. Fuck Bayern, Dortmund has to win the CL.
  17. When I grow up I wanna be a gentleman like Paulo.
  18. We could still use both trophies as our header... just sayin'.
