I like that scenario but I don't think it's as simple as that. Torres is on huge wages (for the next 3 years...), and will he take a pay cut to join another club, a lesser club? I doubt that. So if he's staying, he's still getting his usual pay check making him one of the highest earners despite not playing much which would not only be bad for our pay roll but could turn out to be a problem for our "team chemistry" (can't think of a better word) as well. Players like Mata and Hazard, who will only get better, will demand higher wages when they sit down to discuss new contracts and considering Torres would get paid for literally doing nothing, their expectations when it comes to pay raises could be higher than our board thinks. Mind you, this is hypothetical and maybe never ever gonna happen, but still. Ba joined us only a couple of months ago so I can't see him leaving at all. As for Lukaku, I think it's the best for everyone if he stays on loan at WBA to play as their starting striker a whole season long. I wouldn't mind seeing him at Chelsea next season as our BU #1 though (which again would raise another question: Should Ba really be the 3rd striker?! ).
