Mikel will leave just months after signing a 5 year extension? Similarly to the Isco rumor, I just can't see why so many people are opposed to this potential move. He absolutely manhandled Man United earlier this year winning every header, boxing out defenders, and looked like a man amongst boys on every setpiece and corner. I remember in both the Spurs and Arsenal games we completely dominated their midfields physically, and that was with Mikel. Cazorla was basically invisible. Imagine introducing this monster. I think anything in the 25m or below range is a great price.
Martin Lipton says Torres will indeed start. If Swansea play as poorly as they did at times against Arsenal it shouldn't matter that much. Then again, it's fucking Torres so you never know.
There were 2 major hurdles before: the Napoli owner and the buy-out clause. Now the owner admits that he would sell him, so the only remaining obstacle is the price. Would be a dream signing but would never happen unless Torres was ditched or went the other way.
This just makes no sense. If we're targeting a young Brazilian from from the Ukrainian league, why not bring in the one who shredded us in the Champions League this year who is still dying to move here and in a position we can actually use a player in? It should be Willian we're after not this kid who most of us have never even heard of, much less seen play.
Well yeah, supporters of other clubs won't, but the media would have a field day with it.I can see it now: "Chelsea are the most classless club in football. Shameful how they treat club legends." That kind of stuff has already started and he isn't even gone yet.
Can you imagine if he's 5 or fewer goals away from the record and he leaves. There would be a massive uproar and we'd be even more hated as a club than we already are.
That, and he's been constantly fouling Swansea's players and just took a dive right in front of the fans and was screaming at the ref.Such a poor player.
Like most of you are saying, I agree that it's likely made up bullshit, but I think he'd be much more valuable than some think. Not to mention it would piss the hell out of Arsenal, United, City, and Liverpool who are all after him.
Would be an excellent signing to rotate regularly with Mata and Hazard. You see how much better Mata performs when he's refreshed. He'd be playing under a Spanish couch, we have a nice Spanish contingent with plenty of young players he can grow with, and it would be yet another reason for Pep to want to come here. Plus he's one of those who if the time ever came to sell, he'd turn an enormous profit. Anything under £20m is a steal for a talent like Isco.
That's why I hate watching United games. The supposed unbiased commentators seem to wank at every little thing the team does. Van Persie has a sideways pass and the commentator calls is "world class!"
