When you look at Arsenal's best 11 literally the ONLY player who would be a regular starter on our team would be Wilshere. Many of their starters wouldn't even make our bench. Every flukey decision seems to go their way just like United, but at least they actually have great players.

Torres wasn't exactly lighting it up just before arriving here. He was already on the decline. He didn't walk through the door at the Bridge and suddenly turn shit. Falcao is in prime form and looks to be getting better. Can't see any way he'd be a flop here.

I wasn't comparing them to each other, I'm saying that if you look at each of those individually, their defenses are the weakest parts of each of those teams. And it doesn't matter because their forwards are so good.

Teams like United and City go against teams like Villa and other mid to bottom table sides and say "we should smash them," while we go into a game like this weekend weary and hopeful that Torres will actually do something. If we had Falcao we'd be burying teams like this. Like others have said, teams like United, Madrid, and Barca don't have good defenses at all right ow but have world class strikers and goal scorers.

I just remember us all being so excited last year because we were strongly linked with Modric, Moutinho, Hulk ect. We ended up loaning out 2 of the players we bought and sold Meireles off. I'd say the summer buys more than made up for that window, though. PLEASE get Falcao!

Doesn't the amortization of player contracts help with FFP? I thought it was only the annual salary that counted towards it and not the total value of the signing.

Roman absolutely HAS to be just as embarrassed as we the supporters are that we went from 4 points clear at the top to double digits behind and in danger of falling out of the top 4 with 1 poor result. This is why he needs to make a statement this transfer window. This is why I feel that bringing in 3 players like Falcao, Fellaini, and Paulinho/Moutinho could actually happen. If he can bring these players in and make a run for the premiership and win the Europa League/FA Cup/CC than the season would be salvaged With the wages of Lamps, Malouda, Sturridge, and unfortunately Cole coming off the books it frees up quite a bit of cash.
