If this goes ahead hopefully Rafa puts him to good use right away and doesn't wait until things go to shit before Demba becomes first choice. I honestly can't wait to see Ba in our shirt. Very anxious about this one. I had a nightmare that Torres missed a sitter again to cost us the game. This is a statement game. Are we a serious contender or not? We'll have won at the Emirates, at WHL, and at Goodison with a game in hand if we can pull this one off. I'd say being in the top 3 with a game in hand and BEFORE the transfer window opens while having only 1 striker on the roster is pretty impressive. But we MUST win this one. Would be a huge morale boost for player and supporter alike.

I agree with Leif. We'll go for a budget player this window and hope for the best. If it were any other manager than Torres' bum buddy I think we'd go all out for Falcao, but with each goal he scores I think we move farther and farther away from getting him.

When you look at Arsenal's best 11 literally the ONLY player who would be a regular starter on our team would be Wilshere. Many of their starters wouldn't even make our bench. Every flukey decision seems to go their way just like United, but at least they actually have great players.

Torres wasn't exactly lighting it up just before arriving here. He was already on the decline. He didn't walk through the door at the Bridge and suddenly turn shit. Falcao is in prime form and looks to be getting better. Can't see any way he'd be a flop here.
