Whole lot of faith placed in Mudryk to be starting here. If he is poor yet again then he shouldn’t start another PL match again any time soon. Use him only in Conference League and the cups.

I was actually feeling very confident about this match before the team news dropped. But with Lavia out and the team Maresca has gone with I think we could look pretty damn poor here. If they go with a super high energy pressing game plan against us I think we’ll struggle.

Hopefully a precaution or minor knock. For me he is our most important central midfielder already. With him out and considering the way Wolves play I’d have started KDH here. Could have used his work rate and ability to receive the ball well in tight areas. I don’t yet trust A Gusto and Caicedo pairing in midfield.

Palace feels like the obvious move for Trev after Andersen has left. They’ve had success now with another player we let go in Guehi so it feels only right that they take another one and pair them together.

It’s pretty insane that Trev hasn’t moved yet. Everyone seems to rate him but we haven’t heard a peep about a move since he was “exiled” weeks ago. I would’ve thought he’d be extremely easy to move since he’s young, English, and in a position every club is always scrambling for decent players.

Buying another CB at this point would be ridiculous unless/until we move on 2 of the current ones. Trev + one of Disasi or Badiashile.

I know it sounds like sour grapes but Arse get these kinds of breaks that we never seem to. Villa have had about 3-4 chances that would rest in goals against us. We seem to get punished ruthlessly in these situations all the time.

Could this finally be the season that Everton are flushed down to the Championship? They’ve got a shit squad and have had a shit summer. They look like they have little hope from a supporters standpoint. They’re usually really annoying when we play them so I wouldn’t mind.

A tiny club like Brighton who have 3 times in a row brought in new managers and had them hit the ground running playing fantastic football straight away makes it so frustrating that manager after manager for us always needs extended time to get our much, MUCH more talented squads to play the way they want them to. Hopefully Maresca breaks that cycle and gets us playing well super quickly. We have an absurdly stacked squad talent wise. It shouldn’t take months and months to get us playing well like it did with Poch.

Brighton are genuinely good again apparently. And they’re about to add a bunch of solid players in the transfer market, too.

Unless Osimhen himself chooses Arse over us ( which sadly we couldn’t blame him for) I just don’t think we’re going to let them beat us to him. It’s way too important for us to get a leading #9 and he’d be a pure luxury signing for them. Again, if the player says he prefers Arse then move on and don’t fight for him. But if he’s happy to come to either I don’t see us getting outbid.

Looks like we’re going to have to find a new destination for Broja. Move to Ipswich collapsed. Hopefully we can find a better permanent solution rather than a loan.

Said player has also expressed desire to follow in the footsteps of Chelsea’s great African legends. It would be truly bizarre if we don’t get him. Especially if we “clear the deck” with the wages of Lukaku, Sterling, Chilwell, etc off our books. There is no excuse.
