  1. Just got through watching some footage myself and see he plays on the right side. Even if we sold Trev AND Disasi I don’t see a place for him when we’ve got Fofana and Tosin. And with Colwill, Badiashile, and Veiga who can fill in on the left what would be the point in another CB this window?
  2. In years past we could’ve just flogged them all on loan at the last minute but with the limited loan spots how many do we even have left?
  3. With our new wage structure we simply can’t go toe to toe with PSG. Never mind a Saudi club offering more in 1 year than Osimhen would make over 3-4 here. If PSG want this kid from Benfica they’ll get him. Especially since we pissed Benfica the fuck off during the Enzo ordeal whilst PSG just had a really smooth and amicable deal with them for João Neves. Honestly, forget incomings at this stage. I’m worried we’ve fucked ourselves with outgoings by waiting this long. Great Lukaku is gone but Broja, Sterling, Chilly, Trev, DDF etc all look extremely difficult to move at this point.
  4. We seem to love getting into transfer tussles with like the only couple of clubs in the world willing to crazier than us in the transfer window.
  5. Now seeing Paul Joyce report that Ipswich are after a striker from Palace. So that must been no Broja there. Man, today is looking awful from a Chelsea POV!
  6. Jesus. I take a nap for a couple of hours and everything goes to shit. Looks like no Osimhen, no Sterling leaving, and no Sancho coming (good). That salary offer from Saudi is straight up impossible to turn down. His career is effectively over at 25 but he’ll get to live like an Emporer for the rest of his life with that kind of money. Not TOO upset that we may end up with no new striker this window now. But I am really annoyed that we may be stuck with Sterling and Chilly still on our books.
  7. The Chilwell to United link never made an ounce of sense so I never even gave it a second thought or got my hopes up. They’ve got Luke Shaw who already misses about 60% of every season with injury. So why would they want another LB who also misses 60% of every season with injury? Chilly may be one of the trickiest players for us to move because of his wages, injury history, and because he’ll probably be thinking he’s too good drop down to a small club.
  8. Yeah, I’m definitely in the “if not Osimhen then wait until next window” camp. Giving a 28 year old Ivan Toney big wages and what would probably have to be a 5 year contract PLUS a £50m transfer fee would be a terrible piece of business. If he flopped this season we’d then have a completely unmovable player on our hands. Or worse, we could go for DCL… 🤢🤢🤢
  9. Do you want us to have 15 attacking mids? lol
  10. If Saudi is offering him £400-500k a week and we’re offering a third of that then that’s the kind of gulf he’ll feel he can’t turn down. But if we’re offering him £200-250k and he chooses Saudi then good riddance. Rotten, mercenary attitude and he’s throwing his career away at age 25.
  11. The thing with Sancho is that if we make a legit move for him and speak with him via his agent I doubt he’ll choose moving to Italy over the club he supported as a kid. Especially if they’re is offering a loan and us a permanent move. Doubt he wants to go through this whole situation again a year from now and would rather his future be settled.
  12. Think at this point it’s going to come down to how wide the gap is between our wage offer and the Saudi one and also how ambitious Osimhen is. You would hope that our wage offer isn’t something he and his agent deem “disrespectful.” Like, offer a base salary of just over £200k per week to bring him in line with our top earners and give him incentives to hit which will give him raises. Because if we offer him £120k a week they’ll probably (rightly) laugh in our faces and tell us to fuck off.
  13. Hope so. Really don’t think it would be wise to let such a big deal in such an important position go to the final hours of the window. If anything happens and the deal collapses or PSG suddenly jump in and turn his head it would completely fuck us and we end up with nobody to pivot to. So hopefully the club will have told Osimhen/his agent that we need a definitive answer today/tomorrow. If we can’t settle it by then we’ll have a little bit of time to go for Toney I guess.
  14. If his wages weren’t so massive you’d almost call it a steal if he can hit the heights he did two seasons ago.
  15. I wonder what the price could be if we do buy him. More than the €65m the Saudi club offered? The same? Less but with another player in addition to Lukaku going the other way? If we got him for just the €65m and end up paying less for Osimhen than Spuds did for Solanke it would be pretty hilarious.
  16. We may have such a ridiculous number of attacking mods that we may not even miss them at this point.
  17. Neto, Felix, Nkunku, Palmer, Madueke, Sancho, Estevão, and Paez. KDH may also be counted as an AM depending on the game he’s playing in. Even with both Sterling and Mudryk gone that’s far too many. Unless the club are already planning for loan deals of Estevão and Paez which would be pretty surprising.
  18. We are going to regret taking Sancho so much in the future I feel. And not because I don’t think he could potentially be very solid still. He can be. But because we’re just creating a massive and unnecessary headache for ourselves next summer when we’re going to have a million AM’s and no space for many of them. Such a dumb idea.
  19. Agree. If we saw breaking news that Toney was joining someone like Fulham or West Ham or Wolves id say "yeah, thats probably his level." A step up from Brentford in terms of club size but not somewhere with UCL ambitions.
  20. Ivan Toney is someone I’d have to see performing in our team before I believe he’s good enough. Because at the moment he looks like one of the countless strikers we’ve seen light it up for a small club and then become extremely underwhelming when they take a massive step up. If we’re talking purely about his skill set he probably does fit a Maresca side better than Osimhen. But is he good enough quality wise? Man, that’s tough to say…
  21. The Osimhen saga is boring as hell now. One day one reporter says he prefers PSG, the next someone else says he prefers Saudi, and then the next day Chelsea. May as well just not pay any attention at all until Friday.
  22. Italian vs Italian crime. Di Marzio vs Fabrizio. Who will be proved right?
  23. Imagine going from Real Madrid to Bournemouth. I know he wasn’t actually playing in Madrid but still. Hopefully Kepa does really well so they or someone else buy him for good next summer.
  24. Yeah, Carney and Trev are the ones I was thinking. If we get to deadline day we may panic and sell them for WAY below what they’re worth. Carney I could see another big club wanting to take a chance on. His talent and potential are huge and I could see him becoming a top player if he starts playing every match for someone. Be sad to see him go but we have literally no space for him after the business we’ve done this summer.
  25. Closer we get to Friday the more desperate we’ll get in trying to move some of the out of favor players. We could be forced to do pretty shit deals.
