Telegraph reporting that Arsenal are still keen and that Rooney would still consider moving there. Could you imagine? I absolutely wouldn't put it past Fergie or Moyes to personlly call Wenger and offer them Rooney for less than what we offer. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

It would absolutely make my YEAR if we signed Rooney and on the next day the official Chelsea twitter posted a pic of Mata signing a 5 year extension. Would utterly humiliate United and make them look like complete mugs. Take their best and most important player and then shit on them and let them know that we aren't to be fucked with.

So we hear absolutely nothing about this injury after the match and just as we bid for a second time he gets "injured" and can't travel to a match. Sounds to me like Rooney has been advised or decided to refuse to play.

I just think it's 50m because it's Arsenal that's bidding. Liverpool think of Arsenal as a direct competitor for that coveted 4th spot. They know we're a class above them so I'd think they be much easier to work with than United.I'm sure we could do business with them. Maybe something like 35m + Ba since they're gonna need a striker. Ba could thrive there with the play from the wings they have.

Think about the effect a transfer request would have. It's Moyes' first season with the club which is going to be difficult enough. Imagine what it'll be like if they reject Rooney's transfer request and has every fan booing like crazy and destroying Rooney at every game. He'll be bombarded by Rooney questions at all times and it'll be a MASSIVE distraction for the entire year. If something goes wrong you'll hear "why didn't Rooney play up top?" or "why was Rooney on the bench?" If we bid 30m and he hands in a transfer request I think they'll sell. If not, fuck 'em. Let them keep an unsettled player and we can buy Suarez.

Jose probably wanted to protect him from hurting himself. The poor guy may break his neck tripping over the ball like he did earlier.

You can see EXACTLY why Jose really wants Rooney. We have great build up and counter attacks, but as soon as the ball gets up top to a striker it dies. Torres, bless him, works his ass off but simply isn't good enough. We need a forward who can play confidently with the ball at his feet and isn't afraid to have a shot. With Rooney added to our fantastic squad, I think we'll win the league by a margin similar to United last season.

Luiz!? Injured?

I don't mind it with the exception of Bertrand. Still don't think he's good enough on a consistent basis.Very nice lineup, though. Too bad Frank won't be involved once again.

Don't think it'll be as easy as Inter where we were in cruise control the entire match, but I think we'll win convincingly.

If he wanted to stay, why hasn't he come out and immediately rubbished it on twitter or his official site? He released a statement before doing just that.

He scored in their "behind closed doors" friendly today again Real Betis.
