I'm one who actually believes he'll come back even if we do miss out on CL. He'll still get he cash to spend, still have a great squad of current players to work with, and we'd be prohibitive favorites to win the Europa League. It's only a year. We'd certainly be more competitive in the league without so many competitions. Still praying we do make it though!

And I'm sorry, but Bertrand literally offers nothing. Okay defensively but offers ZERO going forward and can't cross a ball to save his life. Not the long term successor to Cole that he was christened last year.

And people seriously question why we need a player like Fellaini in the middle of our lineup. We are actually struggling a bit to handle bloody Basel's midfield. While Luiz can play a pretty pass going forward and hold up play, his positional awareness while defending is simply awful. Couple that with a slow Lampard and this is what it gets us.

Just as I predicted. This was never gonna be as easy as most here made it out to be. As it usually happens, we dominate for large parts of the game and concede a stupid goal and wonder what the FUCK our defenders were doing.

Don't know why everyone seems to be overlooking this one and think we'll cruise it even with a weakened side. If I've learned anything from our team this season it's not to be overly confident. Hope we field a string team and put it away early. The time to play our fringe payers is when the game's won.

I'd take Di Maria in a heartbeat. We've all seen how effective extreme pace is in this league by watching the likes of Bale and Walcott.

Also keep in mind that the RM locker room seemed worse than ours was under AVB. If the players didnt like him or want to play for him it's kinda hard to win the most difficult competition there is.

Just imagine Di Maria's pace out wide on our wing. I salivate at the thought. Not holding my breath on that one though.
