I'd definetly say that even without Bale and especially if they add another couple with the eventual Bale money that they look stronger than Arsenal. Really doesn't make much sense. He's a great player no doubt, but I can't see why we'd want him unless one or more of our CM's left. If Mikel is sold I can see it. Lamps will probably leave after the season and Essien won't be here long. Khedira is a solid enough tackler and can break up play, but he still doesn't solve our problem completely.
