Hopefully we see the awful Benteke today and not the unplayable one. I want to see the one who looks like he doesn't know the offside rule like he did quite a bit last season. These games against lower table sides always make me nervous. This one more so since we have United up next and need to go into that one on a high. So if we were to hypothetically present Dortmund with an offer of say £30m and they agreed, do we really think Lewandowski would turn down a chance to play under Jose and with our awesome squad? Just find it a bit confusing how he's so dead set on going to Bayern. Gomez had a brilliant season for them and then got brushed aside like a scrub and had to transfer within a year. Now if Lewandowski goes there they'll brush Mandzukic aside. If Lewandowski struggles or doesn't score 40 will they go after the next big name? Bayern just seem like the Real Madrid of Germany. Why would any young star player go there at the moment where no matter how good you are, you have so much competition for a place that you won't play as much as you could.

If it comes to Eto'o or stick with who we've got I think we should pass on Eto'o. I just can't see why we're after ONLY a striker though. Wish we were as dead set on getting a CM as we appear to be a striker. If we bought someone like Witsel or De Rossi and no striker before the deadline I'd be elated.

We have plenty of other players that can score goals if Ibra was struggling.He's one of those players like Messi or CR7 or Drogba who are in the oppositions head and intimidating them before the match even starts. I think he'd be an absolute beast in the premier league and his game suits it perfectly. He really doesn't seem to be deteriorating with age. I'd bet that he'd score 30 for us in all competitions.

100% convinced this won't happen now. With each day that passes it's one less day United will have to spend the money and find a replacement. It would make no sense for them to sell him on deadline day even if we offered an absurd £50m as they wouldn't be able to spend it for months. I've come to realize that Toli is just about he most negative and blunt posters on this forum.

If we're being completely honest here, City are stronger than us in every area of the pitch except for attacking midfield. They have a better defense, better forwards, and a vastly superior central midfield. We buy one player in each of those areas however and it would probably take us above them. It's going to take a hell of a lot to finish above them but I have faith in Jose. Hopefully we're keeping some ultra secret deals going behind the scenes.

With our current central midfield I just cannot see us beating this City side.They look very strong all over the pitch whereas we're still in need of a couple players.

Just to play it a bit safe in midfield I'd like to see either MvG or Essien in place of Lamps. We someone to hold a bit more and allow Ramires to do what he does best. Having Lamps with him like yesterday sort of limits what Ramires can do going forward.

I will say that I'd much rather them end up with Fellaini than Modric. Modric would massively improve them.
