  1. I have a feeling we'll see a Torres goal here today. Just hope we don't fuck about and let them get comfortable. Our 1st halves have been really slow lately so I'd love to see an early goal. The instructions from Jose should be to continuously give the ball to Hazard and Willian out wide and for them to run at defenders as much as possible. Hull shouldn't be able to handle that for an entire match.
  2. That "massive" club who have been midtable for years now? That "massive" club who had to BEG Suarez to stay and were only able to by throwing a shit ton of money at him? That "massive" club whose best player will leave at the drop of the hat if Madrid come in for him this summer? Moses left our club who's a recent Champions League winner and who challenges for every honor every season for a club whose biggest ambition is to finish in the top 4. Massive club, eh? Expectancy? Liverpool hopes to get top 4. Chelsea FC EXPECTS to as a minimum goal. Looking down on you on the table right now, Rodgers. Prick.
  3. Look at Rooney's moobs in the pic with Luiz.
  4. Yep. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they look dire and lose again to Swansea and then look like their old selves against us.
  5. From Rooney: " Agreed with the manager and the medical team that some warm weather training and recuperation would help this niggling injury I have been trying to play through. Gutted I am not available for selection tomorrow, but sure the lads will give everything to get the right result. As I said earlier today the crowd can help the team's confidence massively so hopefully everyone will get behind the lads and stay with them and the manager throughout the game." Doesn't really sound like a guy who's itching to leave does it? This whole situation wreaks of desperation on United's part to suck up to Rooney and pamper him so he stays. Make him feel special. Why isn't RvP sent on a cushy holiday or any of the other injured players? I think Wayne will get another giant contract from United and Moyes will look like a hero.
  6. Hope that's the case. But maybe Werder Bremen trying to get him back?
  7. Listening to Jose in that press conference I think I could sense a bit of reluctance to sell Kevin in his voice and tone. I think he feels like some of us here do, that he will go on to become a very good player and we'll probably regret selling him. If it weren't for the fact that Kevin wants to leave really badly I think we'd be keeping him for sure. Like Jose said though, it's such a large profit on a player that surplus to our needs that we can't really turn it down since the player wants the move so badly.
  8. Courtois—"I'll never say I'm a better goalkeeper than Petr Cech. But I'm not a player anymore that you can put on the bench, I think." Exactly. He's FAR too good to be on the bench or "fighting for a place." It'll be one tough decision to make this summer, but Courtois has to be brought back and made our #1 going forward.
  9. Sympathy and emotion should be kept out of it. This is business. This is about what's best for Chelsea FC, not Kevin de Bruyne. If feel bad that it hasn't worked out for him but the days of us getting fucked by the likes of Matic and Sturridge moving to other clubs for peanuts and killing it should be over. At least if KdB is sold for a high price it can be used for another good player.
  10. True.Kevin has looked awesome for Belgium over the past year, so it couldn't hurt to showcase him during the World Cup where he's likely to be a standout for his national team and THEN decide what to do with him. If he lights it up we can either keep him and give him another shot or jack up the transfer fee if another club want him permanently.
  11. When it comes to selling our players I wish we'd be the Porto of England. Bleed clubs dry for our players.
  12. Surely if they keep up the form they've been in they're serious contenders for the CL. Could see them doing the domestic treble this season unless we stop them. They'd batter Arsenal so I leave them out. We're really the only side in the league with players and a manager who aren't scared shitless by City.
  13. Done watching already. Negredo with his second. While West Ham are embarrassing, City are fucking ridiculous when they're up for it. When Arse eventually fall back I think they'll piss the league. Hopefully those "clinical" buys Jose has planned for us in the summer are big ones so we can keep up with this lot.
  14. Just makes me shake my head watching how City's 2nd best striker is miles better than any we have.
  15. How does Courtois "fight for his place" with another top class keeper, though? When would he get a start in order to prove himself if Cech started the season? When would you decide to pull Cech and put Courtois in? It's not like if you start the season with Cech as the #1 and he concedes a couple so you throw Courtois in. Both are far too good to be fighting for a place with anyone or be on the bench. Don't think either would agree to being resigned to the bench more often than not. A keeper needs stability. Why would either Cech or Courtois want to fight for a place when they could both start for a big club? Just makes no sense. If Courtois is recalled next season then Cech should be sold to the highest bidder OUTSIDE of the Premier League. Should have no shortage of suitors. Maybe even Atletico.
  16. Anyone seen him play recently? I flipped to Madrid's match the other day and he was subbed off for Illaramendi I think. I haven't watched them in a while. Still top class?
  17. I agree that we can't have both in the the same team. If Courtois struggles at all for a couple of matches the supporters would be calling for Cech and it could wreck his confidence. Cech could go and start for just about anyone in Europe, so I don't see why he'd agree to it anyways. He'd just ask for a move I'd think.
  18. Will be interesting to see the quotes from United fans when their club inevitably throw a shit ton of cash at this situation to save Moyes' job. I'll never want to hear "Chelsea and City just buy the league!" again.
  19. United need about 5 players. RedCafe calls their style of football "Dinosaur" football right now because of their dour tactics and lack of creativity. Mata could slot if anywhere along their attack. They can play a more modern style of football with Mata in behind RvP.
  20. Brillaint post.Exactly why a Mata/Rooney swap makes so much sense. United are in dire need of some creativity and invention in their midfield. Their only mode of attack right now consists of everyone knocking the ball out to Valencia who then attempts (very poorly most of the time) to get crosses in. We are overloaded with creative players and are in dire need of a hard working, industrious, top class forward like Rooney.
  21. I hope so.Nothing would please me more than seeing Arse finish outside of the top 4 after thinking they are world beaters for the first half of the season.
  22. I'd never wish injury upon a player, but now that he is injured I'm glad. Anything to harm Arse and bring the unbearable bastards back down to earth. Just hope they don't bring in another world class, Özil quality signing this month.
  23. Yep. Wouldn't be surprised if they now go and buy Draxler or someone else they've been heavily linked with.
