My boner-meter is steadily rising now that some reputable outlets are starting to report things. When BBC and Sky start tweeting things like they are now I get excited.

I was expecting to wake up and be disappointed when checking twitter. Thought I'd see something like "We received a bid far below our valuation from an English club and it has been rejected" from Benfica. Guess it's good that didn't happen at least. Would be brilliant to have him for the United match. At least on the bench.

Still not gonna get too excited until it's confirmed, but just thinking about what some of the other high profile midfielders have gone for recently or are valued at now, this seems like brilliant business. Modric was £30m+ Witsel was £40m Illaramendi was £30m+ Midfielders like Gündogan and Pogba are being valued at astronomical fees. This could be a very shrewd buy at this price. Fingers crossed.

I don't know. Just feel like we'd be getting one over on them for this price, haha. For a player with so much potential and as good as he already is it's just strange to see he may only cost £20m. In this day and age that's really not that much.

Wank players like Ashley Young, Stuart Downing, and Jordan Henderson were bought for that amount. In this day and age you have to pay for young, highly talented players. Especially when you're buying a player who's so important to the selling club.

It's gonna be SO nice next season watching us with strikers who can score regularly. Makes me sick watching City and Liverpool and United last season having numerous strikers who can score at will. When you think about it, it's AMAZING how we're able to stay near the top of the table and compete with almost ZERO contribution from our strikers.
