That whole match yesterday I was just thinking to myself "man, I hope United don't throw insane money at Vidal or Sanchez." He's an absolute monster and just the player they're desperate for.

I was under the impression that he wanted out for being left out in the CL and being basically tossed aside without thought for Lewandowski.I think if José were to assure him that he'd get plenty of game time here (if Lukaku were sold) then he'd be happy to move here. I think he'd score loads here as an impact player late in games or as a starter if we need a different look than Costa.

No matter how awkward and hard he is to watch sometimes, all he does is score goals. Still wouldn't mind him in addition to Costa if Lukaku is to be sold. Could be a simple and easy transfer, really, since both Pep and he himself want out of Bayern.

Imagine how Mata feels right now. Has wanted desperately to break into the Spain squad so much that he moved clubs and didn't play a single minute for them.

Costa in this Spain squad is like putting Mikel in Barca. Just not compatible.

He gets absolutely NO service in this Spain squad. What little scraps do manage to squeak through to him are in terrible shooting positions. Not his fault. Still just don't understand how this situation is going to work. Just judging by how Petr tweets it certainly seems like he'll remain with us. It looks like we really will have both he and Courtois in our side next season which I just don't think makes sense unless Cech is fine with being the backup.

Not too happy about our fixtures. Far from ideal. Could prove to be a murderous run in with those last 6 fixtures. Arsenal and United back to back and Palace, West Brom, and Sunderland may be fighting for their survival until the very end just like they were this past season and we may be drained from a deep CL run. I'd much rather have a very tough first few months and an easy run in than this.

Normal Lukaku game here. First touch like a person who's never played football and gets brushed off the ball like someone the size of Juan Mata when he's as big as Drogba.

It's really dumb to suggest that because he isn't in the Brazil squad he must not be very good. I mean, Hulk is in the squad and somehow starts every match for fucks sake. He's shit on a stick.

You could question whether that's enough cover defensively in midfield but our back 4 and keeper are so good and Matic covers so much of the pitch that I think it would work.

Yes, it's been against 10 men for much of this game, but even when it wasn't he's once again just completely bossed the midfield and pulled all the strings. Reminds me of Pirlo in the sense that he makes the game look so easy. He doesn't ever panic with the ball and is so composed and elegant in possession. Ridiculous passing range and is just a really intelligent player.

Looking forward to seeing him run the show against Portugal in a little bit and watching this thread blow up.

Can't see it unless both Mikel is sold AND either Ramires is sold or MvG is loaned. Think José is genuine when he says Ramires is going nowhere. Kroos' one main concern/weakness is his defensive ability so I'm not sure he'd sell two of his better defensive players and bring in Kroos.

So Arse are letting yet another captain join a direct rival. What a club. Their fans are going to see Sagna join City, Cesc join us, and Vermaelen join United all in one summer. They truly are a feeder club/conveyer belt.

I just hope that none of Liverpool, Arse, or City are after him because he'd be a beast at any of those clubs.

He's EASILY better and further developed than Shaw is currently. He'll certainly be playing for a top club soon.

Now that we have José back I literally can't wait to play Arsenal. It's like teasing your little brother. I think he'll be out for scalps next season. To prove everyone wrong. He's going to be one of the 5 best players in the league.

I doubt Cesc will ever be playing in the middle of the park again as long as Del Bosque is in charge. If he starts it'll probably be as close to goal as he can be.

Expect him to be excellent at the World Cup and have quite a few offers from some top clubs around Europe. Despite that, I think José keeps him and he'll get plenty of games for us. For someone who's still a tad bit iffy bat Costa I'd feel great entering the season with Lukaku as another option. He can be a massive weapon to unleash on sides and must be kept.

Would be a stranger move for the player than it would be for our club. Why leave Barca where you're a bench warmer to be a bench warmer somewhere else? He should move somewhere where he can start and get games.

Will prove an excellent signing for this season. I anticipate a lot of "why would Chelsea buy some old LB instead of Shaw?" comments from many opposition fans, but after they see him play those comments will turn into "man, that guy's really fucking good." 100% believe he'll have a better season than Shaw. Certainly not a better long term investment, but you can't really complain about us signing probably the most complete LB in the world last season.
