Awful was perhaps too strong a word.He certainly found it hard to impose himself in matches in the new year, that much is unquestionable. Can't remember the amount of bitching I've done in match threads about how easily we were bossed in midfield even by terrible sides. Much of that was down to Cesc being as slow as a tanker and getting blown past.
-
The new midfielder would replace Oscar in our first XI, not sit on the bench.RLC can play in the secondary competitions next season like the FA Cup and League Cup. Maybe the occasional PL match as a sub. Now that we've seen Zouma can fill in as a DM Mikel has become redundant and can be moved on. There's a reason we've been linked with all of these world class CM's. We certainly need one.
-
Are you serious? We've seen this season how our form and quality has plummeted along with Fabregas'. God forbid one of Matic or Cesc got a long term injury because the quality of their replacements drops off massively. Also, as much as I hate to admit it, Cesc is was pretty awful against the biggest sides and gets exposed by top quality midfielders who are athletic and have pace. We 100% need a new midfielder.
-
Hopefully this will be the last time we'll see QPR in the PL for many years.
-
What if we don't even buy a midfielder this summer and the plan is to use RLC instead... I'm sure there will be some here that would love that but I really hope that's not the case.
-
You have to admit that it is a bit stupid to tip the lineup off hours prior to a match. An opposing manager can then know what to expect and change his game plan.
-
Knowing José, he'll have found out that Ruben posted that and scratched him from the lineup.
-
You dream of a midfield with almost zero creativity?
-
He just looks like a giant strolling around the pitch. Like those pictures of Lukaku when he was a youth player towering over everyone else.
-
Wonder if Brenda will sit Stevie Me out to spare him having to clap us on the pitch.
-
Eh, that could go either way. Cahill has gotten away with that same thing a number of times this season, though.
-
What did he say? lol
-
Great would be an understatement. Koke, Griezmann, and Clyne would be an absolutely phenomenal summer. We'd surely be installed as favorites to retain our title regardless of who our rivals sign.As long as we make at least one "wow" signing the rest is honestly icing on the cake for me. Let's hope our board is as ambitious as we all are.
-
The next Gaalactico? Wouldn't surprise me at all if they throw some ludicrous truck load of money at them for Pogba. It's the one ultimate muppet signing that will make the media and sponsors jizz themselves uncontrollably for the entire season.
-
City are clearly SUPER desperate to sign him. Almost like they're putting all their eggs in the Pogba basket.
-
Can play on the wing effectively, yes, but I wouldn't call him a pure winger. Does most of his damage through the middle as sort of a second striker.Seems to be best mates with Koke as well. All the more reason for the double swoop!
-
Our name isn't really even being mentioned anymore as one of the clubs in contact with Juve/Pogba. Mentally, I'm already resigned to the fact that we won't bother being dragged into a summer-long bidding war that'll possibly end in huge disappointment.
-
Would be strange having a CB that can dribble past people and bring the ball out. All for us signing him if Varane is impossible.
-
How he plays on the ball, I'm saying.
-
Hes already a very good player with potential to become much better. In terms of the way he plays I'd compare him to Xavi. Really tidy and elegant in the ball. Great in tight spaces, great at set pieces, excellent array of passes in his locker.May not be as spectacular as some of the other Spanish midfielders in terms of dribbling and "tekkers," but he plays very intelligently and has great stamina.
-
Looks like shits going down, boys and girls! PLEASE BE TRUE! But Filipe
-
Yes, in my opinion.
-
Really is sounding less and less likely we'll sign him. Or that our interest was ever even concrete. My guess is PSG.
-
It's hilarious visiting RAWK and seeing their opinions on Benteke. They're all acting as if he's beneath them. That they should be aiming higher. The same thing they said about Bony and Remy last summer who are both miles better than what they have. Would be fantastic if we signed him and he destroys teams like he is now whilst Liverpoop sign a relegation fodder striker like Ings and he flops.
-
Certainly won't be cheap. He's their best and by far their most important player. Their talisman.Losing him may set them back massively because they can't attract anyone on his level to replace him even with the money they'll get for selling. He'll probably cost between £25-30m.
