I think he's definitely better than Eriksen. Has more to his game and is far more versatile.

Winning the league brings huge money, Adidias money, new TV deal, new Yokohama deal, CL money, and we'll surely make another few sales. We'll be able to sign 2-3 players at that level this summer quite comfortably I'd imagine.

People are acting as though he's going to cost what Real Madrid paid for him. They'll probably be desperate to flog him off for £50-60m just so they can buy their next shiny toy to replace him. I'd pay that for sure. Put him on our left flank with Hazard at #10 and we'd probably have an attack on the level of Barca and Bayern. Will be a serious concern if he ends up at one of our rivals. He's made for the PL.

So with Bale getting hounded out of Real Madrid by his own fans, how about this scenario: Hazard moves in the middle where I'm sure he'd prefer himself so he can become even more influential in both goals and assists, Bale is bought for the LW, and we have Willian and Cuadrado rotating on the right. Oscar sold or kept as a squad player. We'll certainly have the money and Real Madrid will probably be looking for a reason to sell him. He's a Mourinho style player and is that genuine superstar splash that we can afford to make. Loads of pace out wide, scores and creates goals, fantastic on the counter, opens up space for everyone around him, and imagine the outlet he provides for players like Cesc and Hazard. Thoughts?

Against both Southampton and Hull we were continuously caught out by simple balls over the the top. Or a ball would get played through the middle of the park and Matić and Cesc were nowhere to be seen. We've been making some really uncharacteristic and basic mistakes. Almost Arsenal like.Doesn't help of course that 3/4ths of our back four struggle mightly against pace. Ivanovic gets blown by constantly both because of his lack of recovery pace and terrible, schoolboy positional discipline. Cahill has to be one of the clumsiest 1-on-1 defenders in the league. He can't deal with them at all and just gets booked. JT has even been forced into errors due to poor positioning because our midfield has been struggling so much lately.

Agree with Matić being poor for a while now. What has happened to him? He doesn't look fatigued or anything, he just looks poor. Unfocused and lacking positional discipline. His level has dropped significantly from earlier in the season. He isn't dominating teams like he was. Fabregas was much better today. Still ran out of steam as the match wore on. As the season has gone on, though, I'm definitely noticing a concern many people had when we initially signed him. He is woefully unathletic. He turns like a tanker and gets blown past with ease by just about anyone. He also has no pace at all. He's utterly fantastic on the ball but gets exposed so easily. Another indication that Matić has gone off the boil. His greatness covered up many of Cesc's weaknesses. We really, DESPERATELY need a top class CB in the summer (Varane) and another athletic, top class midfielder (Pogba).

Ivanovic should not start another match this season. Diabolical ALL season defensively. His goals have masked this in the eyes of many. He's fucking terrible back there! Mark my words, if we lose this, we WILL NOT win the title. As hyperbolic as that sounds, if we're defending like this and like we have been for a while and our midfield is fucking invisible Arsenal, United, and Liverpool will all spank us.

This is way more embarrassing than PSG. We've now almost stopped playing as well.
