From champions at a canter to relegation fight in the span of a few months. You literally couldn't have imagined this. We're the laughing stock of the football world. I truly believe we've been cursed by some voodoo shit. This is an absolute nightmare and I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
-
After so many positive signs in the first half, now that we've conceded we fold like a stack of cards. Getting utterly dominated by Stoke. Fucking STOKE!
-
Nice half. Very good, even. But perfect evidence as to why we need a proper, class #10. Diego is in every position other than where he needs to be. Drops deep, goes out wide, out in no mans land. We need someone to occupy that space in behind and support him so he can stay where a striker belongs and where Costa is so dangerous. He's useless most other places.
-
Personally would've started Oscar for his physicality and aggression instead of Pedro for this one. You know these thugs will kick the shit out of our smaller guys.
-
Don't get why so many in here are saying it was a poor or ugly match. Yes, they were well on top of us for the first 15 minutes or so of the second half but we completely controlled the game outside of that. Liked what I saw from everyone other than Diego who still looks well off of his best.
-
Fantastic team performance. Attack, defense, and midfield all played very well. Matic and a Cesc much better, Baba doesn't look as shit scared as he has, and the defense look solid. We don't look conceding, really, but we certainly need another goal to avoid panic later in the match.
-
I'm of the opinion that unless Hazard is injured he should always be in the starting lineup.
-
Oh, he'll start alright.
-
Think we'll see an angry Cesc boss it tonight. Hazard will wake up from his slumber as well. 3-1 win.
-
To be honest, Cesc does seem like a bit of a cunt. Always has. Not saying I believe the story but it does sound like something I could see him doing.
-
Right up there with "FootballAgentITK" with transfer news I would imagine.
-
I did read it and the reason doesn't really make sense to me. "Minimize damage?" If the players have already stopped playing for him and everyone knows he's a dead man walking, they may as well sack him now.As I said this morning, I trust Dan Levene as a source, but I'm not sure it's as 100% set in stone like he thinks.
-
What happens if a manager refuses to pay? Also, what's with these absolutely absurd numbers? £50k and £40k!? Why the fuck is making a few comments worthy of a fine greater than some people earn in a year? Insane.
-
If it were true, though then why not sack him today? What's the point in him managing the Kiev & Stoke matches if he wins and is still sacked afterwards?
-
It's a place for rich people to retire or earn one last fat pay day. Mourinho's ego and ability are far, FAR too huge to be wasted there. If we sack him he'll be at another big club within a year or two.
-
Why on Earth would he go to Monaco? Tiny, insignificant club with a tiny stadium, in a poor league with no chance of eclipsing PSG, and on top of all that their owner has sold off all their best players and pulled his money out.
-
He'd be an idiot to go to Madrid in my opinion and I'd lose all respect for him if he did. Unless they sold off a star or two before signing him. If they want to keep Isco, James, Bale, CR7, and Benzema AND sign Hazard then he'd be stupid to go there and not play every match.Chelsea is the perfect club for him.
-
We aren't like Liverpool or Spurs, though, who very rarely play in the CL and their star players want to move on to a bigger club. Hazard would know that Chelsea can immedietly bounce back and he wouldn't be wasting years of his career trying to get back into the CL.I don't think he's a coward who will jump ship. I think he'll stay.
-
Unless Hazard forces a move and kicks up a huge fuss he isn't going anywhere. Not worried about him at all. If we appoint the right manager we may see him better than we ever have and he'll have no reason to leave.
-
Certainly won't get one of the other big English jobs. Unless he takes a year off and waits for Van Gaal to leave. If PSG fail to win the CL again this season I could see him ending up there. Even though he has talked shit about them and the French league in the past, I think he'd go there since there isn't anyone better.Anyways, if we get the next hire right it may not matter if we finish in the top 4 in terms of player recruitment. If we appoint Carlo for instance world class players will still want to play for him, CL or no CL. We still pay huge wages, we're still in London, we still have a large array of great players. Think it would be just like United's summer last year where we can still attract big names but will have to overpay. We'll be able to "sell" to potential signings that this season was a blip and we'll be straight back in the CL.
-
José did say a while back that "when the time is right" he'd reveal the truth about what's been going on. Guess we'll find out soon.
-
Marvelous. More drama.
-
Agreed. Even though a couple weeks back I said I don't think Ancelotti coming back is the solution, hearing about all these alternatives being banded around, I'd have him over any of them.Miguel Delaney made a good point the other day about Ancelotti being the antithesis of Mourinho. He'd bring a calm to both the dressing room and the club as a whole and knows what it takes in this league. Demands instant respect from the players and I'm sure they'd respond to his tactics straight away after dealing with José's for so long.
-
I'd fucking lose it...
-
Seems inevitable that he'll be gone now, huh? I trust what Dan Levene says and a few other well respected journo's. I have a terrible feeling we'll appoint the wrong man. Conte is the latest name I'm seeing. Please no...
