Doubt this'll happen unless Nainggolan pushes for it. Seeing as he keeps saying he'd be happy to stay we should move on. Much as I want him, if he can't be bothered to desire a move what can you do?

No matter who else we sign, Kante would be he best one we can make. Fabregas would be free to be his normal, world class self with Kante and another athlete next to him. I pray that the second the tournament is over we announce that we're going to sign him. Triple his salary, whatever. He'd transform our midfield. I just worry that United or Arsenal will be sniffing around. Especially Mourinho who can't be satisfied with Fellaini, surely. City have Gündogan, Fernando, and Fernandinho. Everything linking Yaya away has disappeared too, so he may stay. Think that rules them out and Spuds just signed Wanyama who plays the same position.

I don't think William Carvalho is any better than Matic and doesn't offer anything different than him to be honest. We should buy Kante and play him in his best position (DM) and buy an actual B2B midfielder like Nainggolan, Witsel, or Gomes.

I could get behind this honestly. Been a fan of Witsel for years and wanted us to sign him under José a couple of seasons back. Wasting away huge ability in Russia. He can grow even better under a top coach. Witsel + Kante would be damn, damn good.

True, he is very streaky with his form. Fantastic at his best but that isn't often. As far as his Bayern stay, I was under the impression that he was a bit like Salah or KDB was here where he didn't really play much to show his quality? I think if he is surrounded by great players and played regularly he'd show his true self. Maybe we'll find out if he leaves Stoke for a big team.

I'd take Shaqiri. As for selling Willian, no way. He'll be fantastic for Conte.

If we play with 3 in midfield next season then he'll have more freedom hopefully. Either we hope Matic returns to his best or sign 2 new midfielders. Using 4-3-3 would help Hazard so much I think.

United signing one of the best creative players in Europe and one of the best goal scorers in Europe. Already signed an expensive and promising young CB. City, Arsenal, and Spuds have signed players. Liverpool about to sign Sadio Mane who is a beast of a player and will be great under Klopp. Meanwhile at Chelsea...fucking crickets.

If we manage to buy Morata and play with two up top I just worry a bit about how our central midfield holds up. If we're after only Nainggolan, I'm not sure he and Cesc are enough cover for our defense. I wouldn't mind seeing 4-4-2 but I think I'd personally prefer 4-3-3 with two new midfielders brought in. I want Cesc as free of defensive responsibility as possible and with two strikers up top and only one midfielder next to him he'll still struggle against athletic opponents and pressing. If we have a new box to box mid (Nainggolan/Gomes) in addition to a new DM (Kante) then Cesc can be free to spray the ball to Costa, Willian, and Hazard.

Just get Kante & Gomes. Nainggolan doesn't seem bothered to move and Roma don't want to sell. Stop playing games and just get Kante and Gomes who both have known release clauses and won't be stupid, drawn out sagas.

Again, how does it make any sense that United would be after Morata? They'll have Zlatan and Rashford, why sign another ultra expensive striker that would diminish Rashford's development even more? Zlatan will not go anywhere to be a part timer and will be first on Mourinho's team sheet every week. That already means Rashford will be a squad player. Bringing in Morata for £40m or more? May as well loan Rashford out because as we saw first hand here José doesn't rotate his striker often. The only PL clubs that Morata really makes sense for are ourselves and Arsenal.

Good. Atleti are sort of my "second team." I don't watch every match of theirs but I support them whenever I do watch. Glad he won't be going to a rival.

Think he'd be a nice luxury player to use in a 3 man midfield but definitely wouldn't be worth the huge fee to play in a 2 man midfield. If we were to sign a beast of a DM like Kante, signing Gomes to play as the box to box #8 would be nice. Cesc/Gomes/Kante would be fantastic if Nainggolan doesn't happen.

Sounds believable enough. Let's hope it's us. If Arsenal miss out on Vardy like it looks like they will Morata would be perfect in their side.

United just bought a £30m CB 2 weeks ago and have Smalling who was one of the best CB's in the PL last season. Why would they be after another expensive CB?

I don't know. If the reported fee is accurate that's pretty expensive for a squad player. I definitely think he'd be going straight into the first XI.
