Would be a great short term signing and I think Conte would love him. Have to say I'd prefer someone younger, but he'd be a very good player that would help us reach the top 4.
-
Remember he suffered that terrible knee injury just before the Euro's? City were after him but then the injury happened so they moved on.
-
He's the very definition of an average player. Not even better than Remy. We'd be absolute idiots to do this deal.
-
Forget doubled, he's not even worth half that! He's the type of player that a few years ago you'd have seen moving to Southampton or Stoke or one of those other perennial midtable clubs for about £10m. This TV money is absolutely bananas. If only Chelsea could join the party and go on our own spending spree. On actual good players, of course, not like this.
-
Another striker is a must. Costa gets injured and we have only Bats since it seems nailed on that Remy is gone.
-
Did I say he did? lol Just saying what I saw so the excitement can die.
-
One of our best players. As in he's one of our 3-4 best. As for their national team, not that their best team is any good now, but that Olympic side is basically their youth team + Neymar. Can hardly judge them.
-
Why do so many Chelsea fans (on here and especially on Twitter) lump Willian in with "flops?" So unappreciative. He's one of our best players, ffs. Anyways, if this kid being thought of as an immediate first team player or is he "one for the future" who will be loaned out never to be heard from again? Even if he's a replacement if for Matic if he's sold, what would signing this kid mean for Chalobah and RLC? Just seems kinda weird that if we're after another midfield target it wouldn't be a significant upgrade. This seems like huge gamble rather than just going and signing more of a sure thing.

£30m for Bolasie?!
-
Matt Law of the Telegraph who is probably the best informed journalist when it comes to Chelsea matters these days responded to someone on Twitter earlier today saying we have no interest in Mahrez. Think we can forget about this one. Just hope he doesn't go to Arsenal.
-
Looking on Twitter and luckily some reputable journalists are saying he's likely heading to Everton. He's their level, not a player that a club with title ambitions should be after.
-
Yeah, preseason was proof that Aina has the talent and ability to play games for us this season. But it also showed that he's got a long way to go before he's the undisputed first choice. He's still a kid, obviously. Like, what happens if Azpi picks up a bad injury? We'd be totally fucked. Ivanovic on one side and Aina on the other. We'd leak even more goals. We surely have to be bringing someone in.
-
The fullback situation is kind of strange. Conte decided quickly that Baba wasn't good enough and we moved him out on loan hastily. You'd have thought that we would've only let him go if a replacement was imminent. Not a peep. Not even a link to one, really.
-
I'd rather no one than mediocrity. This is like the "hey, we can't get Stones so let's get Djilobodji instead" mentality.
-
Jesus fucking Christ...
-
Yep. Due to the new tv deal the days of clubs like Chelsea/UnitedArsenal etc being able to look past the likes of West Ham are gone. They have the personnel and coaching to beat anyone on their day. Every single PL team big or small can beat one another. Even the newly promoted sides.
-
Seems the Italian clubs share a similar trait - they demand the moon and the stars for their players but when they go out and buy they expect a cheap deal.
-
So not only are Napoli super stubborn with their own players, they're also stubborn with trying to buy. They just got a fortune for Higuain and are trying to lowball for their CB target.
-
I had no idea he was Argentine. This whole time I thought he was Italian and was wondering why Conte didn't pick him for Italy this summer.
-
Watch Mourinho come in and sign him within a day or two after our board have twiddled their thumbs all summer...
-
This is true and totally depressing. Manchester fucking City have eclipsed us as a club. We simply cannot compete with either them or United for the upper echelon, super expensive players. That in itself wouldn't be a huge deal as long as we were at least bringing in players from that next level down, but we're doing fuck all! City finished in the top 4 and already had a very good squad and have now signed 7 players for ~£150m. United finished far above us and have spent around the same. Silence at Chelsea...
-
Hopefully this is the signing that forces Roman to pull the finger out and get to signing more players. Maybe he'll think "how will we compete with that!?" and bring in a couple of top players. Mourinho is building a ridiculous team. We have to build one too or we'll be left behind.
-
The definition of an impossible target. Plays for a Liga/CL contender, is their best player, and just signed a new deal a couple of months ago. Even if he could be had he'd probably cost Pogba money.
-
To be honest, I won't even be mad if this is an elaborate troll by this guy. Some Grade A transfer muppetry.
