This is why it's important to be quick. He's the perfect Mou midfielder and he'd love nothing more than to pull one over on us if he misses out on Pogba.
-
I just wonde if Conte will use him as a nailed on, 100% certain starter like he has been or will rotate him. While I'm a person who wants him to stay and thinks he'll be an important player for us still, he does present somewhat of a selection/formation headache. Like BlueLyon just said, Cesc is woeful in certain aspects like defending and pace. Have to wonder how long Conte will put up with that.
-
Kante sitting just in front of Koulibaly and Zouma.... Damn!
-
Not sure I'd trust Cuadrado to defend against the better wide players in the league. The likes of Martial and Sanchez would destroy him.
-
Says he'll take a week off before starting here.
-
Indeed. Though, we still wouldn't have a right wingback and would need another midfield signing.
-
Hopefully he's like José and has that maniacal desire to get to work straight away. Take a couple of days off and then start making those phone calls to transfer targets.
-
Best in the world. Such a classy, composed CB.
-
I feel so bad for him. Mourinho has literally ruined his career when you think about it. Was well on his way to becoming one of the best attacking players in the world here and was forced out against his will by Mou. Same thing is going to happen now.
-
Players that can do Nainggolan's job are somewhat easy to find. There are very few elite DM's out there and for £20m to get arguably the best one out there is crazy. If it's one or the other I'd much rather have Kante. Hopefully it isn't. We need two midfielders.
-
Imagine paying £50m for Stones after paying £50m for Sterling.
-
I just think they're all spoiled, pampered kids who have been brought up like royalty who feel entitled to everything. They've been hearing for years how great they are and that they're the "Golden Generation." They do have a legitimate beef with Wilmots here, though. He's shit and has cost them in 2 big tournaments now in a row.
-
Maybe he's trying to be the Zlatan of keepers? No filter when he speaks.
-
Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, guys. Anything can still happen. Signing of the summer if we do manage to get him for that price (£20m). He'd cost at least double that amount if he had no release clause and played for a bigger club.
-
I think it just makes too little sense. The plan people keep describing involves Diego leaving and being replaced by basically a couple of young kids. Is Morata & Batshuayi as the main partnership truly wise? Two young guys like that in a hugely important season with a new manager and with the strength of this league now? An experienced, proven goal scorer who knows the PL and is settled in the side is very important and that's what we have in Diego. Unless he is begging and pleading with the club to return to Spain it just seems idiotic to sell him. Only if he's replaced by a veteran who's scored bags of goals at the top level elsewhere in Europe for a top team would it make sense. There aren't really any of those available. Higuain is the only one I can think of.
-
Some concerning wording in that article about his release clause. Says that Liecester aren't required to sell the moment a team triggers the clause, but instead the £20m is the base amount someone will pay. In other words, if multiple clubs trigger the clause a bidding war may occur and the price could skyrocket. We'll have to hope he truly wants to come to Chelsea and tells Liecester to accept it or someone like PSG, United, or Arsenal can come in and also trigger the clause to screw us. Different situations, but wouldn't want to get "Willian'd" here. We trigger the release clause and then he goes elsewhere.
-
Please, Lord! Sucks so badly that nothing can happen with him until after ther tournament. If other clubs miss out on their primary targets they move on to Kante.
-
Can't think of anyone we could attract that would be better. Higuain, maybe?
-
Two very reliable sources in The Guardian & The Telegraph are now running with United chasing hard after Pogba. That would be one transfer I don't know if I could stomach. Can definitely see them breaking the world transfer record for him. Mou has been desperate for him for years now and their Galactico loving chairman would love to deliver José a present. Pogba in addition to Zlatan, Mkhitaryan, and Martial with José managing them. Depending on who Pep brings in I could see that side walking the league. Think it'll still be a year early for us.
-
His attitude and comments like that are what prevent him from reaching the Messi, CR7, or even Neymar level. He has the talent to be there but has a small mentality. He doesn't have that burning desire to be the best and to dominate every match.
-
I agree that it's bad for Rashford this season. No getting around that. But if Zlatan is there only for a single season it could benefit Rashford in the long term. For an 18 year old kid to be able to train every day with a living legend like Zlatan who he must have idolized growing up can only be a huge positive. Sucks for him that he'll be sat on the bench watching most weekends, though. If he's there beyond this season and I'm Rashford I'd be super pissed off, though.
-
Only starting place I can see for him is out on the right. And that's only if they don't buy another super expensive player for that area. Not sure I can see José trusting an 18 year old kid to start week in and week out. He'll probably be an 80th minute and later player in the PL. He'll start League Cup matches and some Europa games probably and give Zlatan a rest.
-
Word is that they're also serious about getting Pogba back... Luckily, they'll still have a slow, aging, out of shape Rooney starting every match in midfield or at #10 which will be a nice weak point to exploit when teams play them.
-
Free transfer, short term deal I'd assume, and playing under Mourinho. Martial and Mkhitaryan behind or beside him. Can't see him being anything other that a success, unfortunately. He'll absolutely feast on the minnows who can't defend for shit and whose players who will be terrified of him before he steps on the pitch.

New ScoutNation video just went up. His dribbling, close control, and finishing are superb. Even more impressive when you consider his age.
