Much as I was a fan of and was super excited when we signed Nkunku, he just doesn’t look right for this team. He just kind of casually jogs around doing hardly anything. He needs to be replaced next month if possible. Best for both parties. Replace him with an actual, natural striker. One who preferably runs their socks off and makes themself a menace like Delap has today.

Being terrorized by literally a SINGLE player.
-
You CANNOT be fucking offside there, ffs. Looking straight down the line.
-
Absolutely unacceptable performance once again. What the actual fuck are we doing?!
-
Btw, Maresca said I think BEFORE the Everton game that Lavia was just about ready to return. Then said before Fulham that he was doing great and almost ready. Now he’s out still. 🤬🤬🤬 Wtf is wrong with this kid?! He’s 20 years old and gets injured like he’s 40!
-
Fine with everything except for being nervous about Disasi at RB as usual. Felix & Nkunku HAVE to have big performances here. Show the manager why you deserve to be playing more.
-
Anselmino looks VERY promising. But I’m skeptical that he’s going to see much playing time this season. I think this is Maresca and the club wanting him to start training with the big boys for the second half of the season and getting him up to speed for next year. Nice little head start.
-
I definitely trust them if they choose Delap. He looks like someone who can be coached into a top striker.
-
Seeing rumors from Chelsea accounts on Twitter about Kolo Muani now… I remember him looking super promising and someone I was keen on before he went to PSG. But from everything I’ve heard he has been a massive flop there. Really hope we don’t make the mistake of brining in another striker who isn’t good enough. I much prefer the idea of Liam Delap.

We looked like we’d be comfortable top 4 finishers before this past week. Now, depending on tomorrow’s result, it could be a real fight that we could be dragged back into. That’s all I was saying. We could’ve effectively discounted all of these teams all the way down to Villa in 9th had we won against teams in Everton & Fulham who you’d expect a team of our quality and in the run of form we were in to beat. Shit, even if we had won one of those. Now we’re 1 more poor result away from those sides being able to reel us in. That was nearly unthinkable not long ago with the way we were going.
-
Just a few days ago we had the opportunity to go 10 points clear of City and more or less stop worrying about them at all. Now because of two shit results for us in the span of a week they’re just 4 points behind us now. Fail to beat Ipswich tomorrow and we go from sitting pretty in 2nd last week to being in a genuine fight for just top 4 again. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

Fuck the fuck off. Holiday and birthday ruined. Here is that wobble we all worried would happen.
-
Absolutely awful second half. We’ve been dominated.
-
We’ve allowed them to completely snatch control of the game after a solid start to the half. Can’t get Palmer or our attackers in the ball AT ALL so far second half.
-
We could have really used Lavia here, btw. Not that we’ve been troubled much in midfield so far but I mean more from a ball control perspective. With Enzo often pushing so far up it leaves Caicedo all alone in the middle where he is sometimes the only option for our CB’s to relieve pressure. Having Lavia in there too is such a help.
-
Fulham are really slick and confident on the ball. We absolutely must stay switched on at all times. They’re so aggressive on the ball in fact that they’re leaving a LOT of space for us to exploit on the break. Jackson and Neto need to sharpen up and we should create plenty more.
-
Fulham have a bunch of attackers who can be very dangerous on any given day. Adama, Iwobi, Jimenez, Pereira. Plus both their fullbacks are really dangerous going forward a lot of the time. We need to be very careful about giving the ball away cheaply. Our boys need to have their A game today or Fulham can do a number on us. Need a big bounce back game from Cole who hasn’t been his absolute best lately.
-
Santos would get plenty of minutes across every competition we’re still in. How many PL matches has Lavia missed now? With surely many more to come. Instead of having to invert Gusto into midfield or have Disasi playing at all I’d much rather see a proper midfielder there. Ugo for me isn’t close to Chelsea quality.
-
As I said the other day, we should 100% be looking to bring Andrey Santos back next month. Lavia is out much too often. We almost certainly won’t because it would likely completely derail our sister club’s season, but if we were cold and putting sentiment aside we’d do it.
-
Lavia still out for this one. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ ffs Expecting an extremely tricky match here. Think Fulham will be aggressive and and go toe to toe with us. So that Lavia, Caicedo, Enzo trio would’ve been picture perfect for a game like this.
-
I sadly could actually picture it. I hope we don’t even consider him, but would I be completely stunned if we did it? No.
-
I know people are having a go at Sancho and he was indeed poor first half. But I thought he grew into the game second half and was solid until it came to that final ball. What bewilders me is how Neto was by far our most dangerous player all first half and then we came out of halftime and he barely got a touch. Really just a very subpar, ineffective attacking game all around. We have to be able to break down teams when they set up like this or else every small club will do this to us and we’ll struggle.
-
The kind of match where we really miss having that alternative #9 to Jackson. A Giroud type. Also a match where not having any threat whatsoever from our fullbacks in attack makes us easier to defend against. They were able to double up on our wingers on both sides. Having a Reece James or Cucu overlapping makes a huge difference against deep blocks and parked buses. Thankfully, I never for even a second let myself think about the title or even a title race so I don’t care about losing ground to Liverpool. We aren’t ready for that yet. But ffs, it would’ve been nice to give ourselves a huge cushion to City and the others behind us.
-
Absolutely pathetic second half from us. Everton were horrific but we had no invention to our play at all.
-
So many sloppy fucking passes. And EASY, simple ones at that.
