He receives the ball well under pressure and is good at maintaining the ball but is either scared to take his man on or when he does he can’t get past anyone lately. And on the other win we have Neto who has actually looked dangerous lately but he’s putting all these great crosses into the box where nobody is ever home to get in the end of them. All of our attackers are just in woeful form all at the same time. It’s so awful to watch. We so badly needed some freshening up in the window and refused to do so.

Zero quality in the final third at all that half. We don’t look like coming close to scoring a goal through open play.

Unless Lavia returns this season and ends the PL campaign with a long run of games where he’s fit and performing well, I think Santos will rerun to the club and immediately replaces Romeo as that 3rd midfielder who starts together with Caicedo and Enzo. I’m not worried about the club cashing in on him at all.

The exact scenario I repeatedly raised during the entire January window. What would happen if Jackson got injured. This injury doesn’t seem serious but it just exposes yet again that’s it’s crazy we didn’t sign anyone. With Guiu now out now too it makes the club look even dumber.

Even if he cost a fraction of that I’m glad we stayed away. Or that he decided against coming here due to playing time. Whichever it was I’m good. I don’t think he’d have had any impact here.

That latest Fabrizio tweet about our plan for this kid we just signed is unbelievable. Payed 15m to basically rent this kid for a few months with zero intention of him actually being a long term Chelsea player. He probably won’t even be given a game by Maresca and then in the summer he goes to Strasbourg never to be seen or heard from again.

So what’s the deal with this kid from St Etienne? Is he a Chelsea player or not?

Seriously now, what happens if Jackson picks up a huge injury? He has been dogshit for ages now but is still the only striker we have that Maresca trusts fully. I could understand if the club went out and tried hard all month throwing big money at 3 different top strikers but just couldn’t agree a deal. But by all accounts we didn’t even try to go and get one. Every supporter, every pundit, every former player of ours, every commentator on our matches has been saying forever that we desperately need a top #9 and yet the club absolutely refuse.

We look like a lower midtable team who is in 12th or 13th. This is fucking dreadful. And has been for 2 whole months now. How much longer can Maresca survive this?

You’re right about Palmer and him giving the rest of the team a lift but I don’t know how we can explain the energy levels and the incision of our team going completely out the window. Why everyone is just walking around slowly looking clueless. It looks like we haven’t worked on anything in training all week, ffs.

We have all these wingers who are simultaneously out of form and offering nothing, we’ve got a striker who constantly fluffs his lines and fucks up the most basic things, and we’ve got defenders who make catastrophic errors EVERY match that directly lead to awful goals. And when even Palmer is out of form you know we’re totally fucked. I really don’t know what we can do to turn this around. It’s not like our levels have dropped due to a bunch of injuries. Every attacker is fit and they have had this long mini break since our last match and yet they still walk around like zombies who played 90 minutes 2 days ago.

How has this happened to us? How do we go from what we were earlier in the season to THIS?

Jackson has killed about 4 attacks so far with terrible touches or passes. And we have to endure this for the whole rest of the season…. 🤦‍♂️

Just watched a comp of this new kid we’ve just signed and tbh, he doesn’t really look like anything special. 🤷‍♂️ Not like all the other supposed “wonder kids” we’ve signed. He just looks like an okay player playing for a small team. I really don’t see a player that Maresca will throw in any time soon.

Even if Jorgensen makes a mistake today I hope we stick with him going forward. Sanchez has had more than enough chances. Give Jorg a long run of matches to see if he’s convincing enough to be the long term solution.

So let me get this straight, the geniuses in charge are buying not one but TWO random teenaged midfielders today and then sending BOTH on loan? What?!

The fact that City were linked to this dude and instead decided to go and spend 60m on another midfielder instead must mean something. Another raw, completely unproven kid making a massive step up to PL football. What happens to this dude in the summer when Santos comes back? And Ugochukwu? And if Lavia ever manages to stay fit? Sold/loaned within 6 months like all of these other disastrous signings?

We’re gonna end up signing nobody and also having several players who wanted/needed to leave stay and be unhappy for the rest of the season. Complete shambles of a window.
