It really is tough to look forward to next season. Squad needs so much work that unless the club go mad in the window (with both in's and out's) we will again be on the outside looking in. I have zero faith in those who make the decisions.

Barkley and Bakayoko may as well be lamp posts. Our midfield is getting played through with zero resistance. My oh my do we need some major surgery there in the summer. Trouble is we just bought those two players so I doubt we'll be selling them so quickly,

Can def see him getting a chance at another top 6 side. Wouldn't mind if we take a punt on him as long as it's nothing silly like 70m or something. He and Eden (if he stays) would absolute terrify any defense. Under a very attacking manager like say Sarri, we could really take the game to our opponents rather than setting up to counter every top team.

Away kit looks sick as fuck. Love when we wear yellow. Immedietly makes me think of the goal a couple of years ago when Mikel played the back heel to Costa who rounded the keeper and scored. Third kit looks awesome, too. Funnily enough, our off-colored kits look miles better than the blue ones we're known for.

Seeing almost universal negative reaction to the new kit around the web. I don't mind it, actually. Not great, not shit. The image I saw on Twitter of Courtois' new keeper kit is ace, though. Love the bright green and orange color combo.

We need a midfielder who can unlock teams like Cesc but who is also athletic and can move teams around. We need a Pedro/Willian upgrade. Those two things alone and I think we compete at the top next season. Assuming we keep Hazard, that is.

Absolute must win game and the best chances we could fashion fell to the CB's. We had what seemed like 90% possession and couldn't trouble their keeper much at all with our attacking players. We can't compete at the top level anymore if the likes Cesc, Pedro, and Zappacosta are being counted on when it matters most. They should be squad players only.

Everything just died when we got it around their box and had to create our way past the Huddersfield double decker. Pedro and Willian were useless. Cesc kept hitting their players with his crosses. Zappa and Alonso are being marked so tightly that they can't smack in any quality balls. They've offered no threat going the other way, thankfully, but this match is the perfect illustration of why we need another attacking midfielder on Hazard's level and also serves as a preview of how poor we'd look going forward without Eden. All the sides above us have more than one outstanding attacker. We have only one elite attacker and a few good but not great ones.

Three problems for us right here. 1) Willian has been super wasteful 2) The ball just dies every time Zappacosta gets the ball 3) Can't get Morata service at all

Wow. Almost looks like a early round FA Cup XI. Can understand Giroud and Hazard getting a rest here since we're home and it would be asking a lot for those two to play 3 matches in such a short period. But where is Emerson? Performs well in Alonso's absence and gets rewarded by being out of the side completely. Maybe injured?

We aint selling him after 1 season. Not after breaking our transfer record to buy him. We gave Torres all that time and we'll give Morata every chance to justify his price. He'll 100% be here next season.

Must confess I haven't watched Huddesfield much at all this season. Are they one of those sides who will sit deal and pray for a goal on the break or a set piece? Or do they actually try to play a bit? With Conte saying immedietly after the Liverpool game yesterday that he'd rotate for this I expect Willian to start but I wonder how many changes he'll actually make. Eden looked a bit leggy towards the end yesterday as did Giroud. Think Morata may start as well.

Yeah, I can't imagine any scenario in which we sell him after one season. Think he'll improve massively for us next season.

Our best overall CB when you combine all attributes, imo. Physical beast, great pace, comfortable on the ball, fantastic long passer, and doesn't take stupid, unnesecary risks. Unlike two of our other CB's (Cahill & Christensen) you'll see Rüdi just get rid of it or tackle the ball out of play rather than fumbling around trying to play out. He's a very smart player. He has probably been my favorite player of ours this season. Wonder what happens when Zouma comes back in the summer since they share a similar skill set (Rüdi is quite a bit more polished, though). Both are too good to just be rotational players so unless Cahill goes or we move Azpi back to fullback in a back 4 I'm not sure where Zouma plays significant minutes.

Eden will never put up the kind of numbers Salah has this season but I'm convinced that if he played in an all out attacking team like Liverpool or City he'd be able to get 25 or so a season in the PL with ease. If his first instinct was to score rather than create for others he could take his game up a level.

After a dreadful start, I thought we were definitely the better side after Giroud's goal. They couldn't live with Eden and Moses was doing whatever he liked down the right flank. Kante was again fantastic. We faded pretty badly at the very end but I'll put that down to the heat.

We aren't causing Liverpool's shite defense any trouble at all. Not even getting any of the ball in their half. Like I said earlier, it's pathetic.
