If Leicester choke away top 4 at the death yet again I think Rodgers plays the “I’ve taken this club as far as I can” card and bounces for either Spuds or Arse. Don’t think he’d be able to immediately turn Arse around because they’re in utter disarray. That’ll take years. But if he goes to Spuds and can convince Kane to stay I could see them being a genuine threat within 2 years.

Any talk of Mo Salah is simply 😂😂😂 Lewandowski is the exact opposite of the type of player we normally target. We have been going after players that can steadily grow and be at the club long term. Though, maybe seeing 36 year old Silva absolutely boss it will change the clubs’ mind.
-
Definitely think we’ll rotate quite heavily for this which of course makes sense but is also worrying with WH, Liverpool, and Spuds right on our asses. City can and will play their strongest side because they want to clinch the title and coast until the final. Wouldn’t be shocked to see one of Tammy or Giroud up top, Ziyech, CHO, Zouma, Alonso, etc in to give some a rest.

Arse are in sort of a lose-lose situation managerial wise. They stick with Arteta and they’re fucked because he’s in over his head. They sack him and there aren’t any standout, top class managers that are a good match for them. Sarri would be a poor fit and wouldn’t excite their fans at all. No currently employed world class coach is leaving their club to step into that shitty job. Allegri has been out of the game for years now and would be a huge gamble. Plus, he would need a mega transfer budget which Arse won’t have. The only thing I think they could do to almost immediately turn things around is if they absolutely beg Brendan Rodgers to take the job. In fact, both North London clubs should do that. But he may see those jobs as a step down form Leicester. As a Chelsea fan this is beautiful to watch. 🤗🤗🤗

I just can’t stop fucking smiling. That tie really wasn’t in jeopardy at all. We comfortably spanked Real Madrid. Feels unreal.
-
Benzema only needs one sniff. Far from comfortable and I hope TT has hammered that into our lads in the dressing room.
-
Everyone kind of assumes that it’s Kroos who’s the dangerous one for Real Madrid in playing those killer balls but today Modric is looking very good. We MUST contain him this 2nd half as he looks most likely to unlock us. Getting too much space in that area just outside our box.
-
Attacking players just need to run at Ramos as many times as they can and try to make him David Luiz himself. Either rash red card or silly, clown shoes mistake.
-
That but more so Azpi and Werner from what I’ve seen. Even though Werner has be doing everything but scoring a lot of our fans treat him like Torres 2.0.
-
Lot of raging Chelsea fans in the Twitterverse about our team selection. 😂
-
Honestly, I’m more concerned about Azpi not being able to help out in attack here than I am his defending. At least he’ll have AC to mop up and help if Hazard or Vinicius get past him. TT probably just trusts his experience over Reece.
-
Oh, wow, no CP in the XI. That’s a shock. His pace on the counter would’ve been crucial since RM will likely dominate the ball.
-
Nerves really setting in now. I’m predicting that Real Madrid will come out hyper aggressive and hunting for an early goal to try and rattle us. So hopefully our speedy guys up front are on their game and ready to exploit their high press.
-
Khalid is basically no different than you’re average Chelsea fan. He knows jack shit.
-
Yeah, I was sort of holding a faint bit of hope that PSG could pull off the comeback here but without Mbappe in the starting XI I think City go through comfortably now.
-
Yeah, looks like Roma are in dire financial straits. And they have a squad filled with old, way past their best players. Competing with Juve and Inter and even Milan and Napoli who can easily outspend them. Recipe for disaster with Mou in charge. It’s actually kind of sad to watch. He’s like an addict who cannot quit. Should’ve just become the Portugal or even England manager in a year or two.
-
I think Jose is a master at “selling” himself to these big clubs. If Juve has another very poor season next year under Pirlo I could’ve seen them being desperate and turning to a big name like Mou for a short term fix.
-
Oh, wow. I’m actually shocked Jose would go to another club who will be at a severe disadvantage financially compared to their rivals after leaving Spuds. I figured he’d either become a national team a manager or take another short break and wait for a big club job to open up like Juventus.

There was probably no world in which Dortmund were gonna sell both Sancho and Haaland in the same window. So it makes sense for them to cash in on Sancho. But damn, doesn’t Haaland have a release clause for super cheap after this next season? Someone is going to get the best value signing in history. But I wonder if Haaland will kick up a huge fuss this summer if they don’t have CL footy.
-
Sancho doesn’t make sense for us with the number of attacking kids we already have. Especially not for 90m.
-
Yeah, Lukaku is in the perfect team, with the perfect coach, and is in the league where he can dominate despite his technical limitations. Hard to see him wanting to go anywhere. Seems like it may be Haaland or bust in terms of big name, mega money strikers. And Dortmund are already signaling that they’re playing hardball with him like they did with Sancho last summer. Someone either pays like 150m or he stays for 1 more season. We may have to go the cheaper route where Tuchel identifies a striker who can fit his style or we try to convince Aguero to come in as a short stopgap.
-
Arse were arguably in their worst run of form and ravaged by injury if I remember correctly the last time we played them and they still came out and battered us. Their players seem to love raising their levels against us. So if they can play a part in damaging our top 4 chances they’ll relish it. I 100% expect them to be a tough out.
-
We have City, Arse, and Leicester all on the bounce. It’s not totally inconceivable at all that we could lose all 3. Spuds meanwhile have a few teams that may already be on the beach. I trust our boys in the biggest matches of our season, but strange things can happen.
-
We probably don’t have to worry about Spuds at this point but they’re still annoyingly close behind us.
-
Let’s hope that United are stupidly still enamored with Sancho and spunk all their money on him rather than going after Kane or Haaland who would be much better fits. That way we have less competition. United still need a CB as well who will be hugely expensive. Until it was just mentioned here I didn’t even consider the idea of Tammy + cash as an offer for Kane. But if he gives any indication that he wants out we should definitely try that. His age doesn’t concern me at all. Late 20’s is the perfect age for our current squad and he’d easily give you 4-5 more years of top level play. Look at Giroud. Of course there’s that small matter of Daniel Levy… 🥶
