Fuck sake, we can't afford Thiago Silva getting injured this early in the season. Seeing more of AC will do my head in. Hope he's good.
-
I give Frank a pass on not rushing Ziyech in. He's probably not ready for such a big game. CHO on the other hand must be fuming. Repeatedly left out as a natural winger for someone who isn't one. Only explanation is that Frank thinks CHO is too lazy defensively.

LMAO 😂 I know Big Pete has kept himself in decent shape but I'm just imagining a dude with a big beer belly suiting up and running on to the pitch.
-
Think this match will come down to whether we make the typical silly mistake or two. If we cut that out I like the look of our XI, Kova absence apart.
-
Our best CM not in the XI for 2 games in a row now. Kova should be one of the first names on the team sheet ffs.
-
Are we considered favorites for this one? I have no idea how Sevilla have played recently.

I honestly didn't think Spuds would be anything to worry about this season. They were playing horrendous football under Mou and it didn't look like they were going to be able to spend at all. But brought in a bunch of players and the ones they had are now fit. With everyone looking inconsistent and dropping points Spuds have a legit chance to challenge. And they still have Bale to come in... Hate these cunts.

And now done and dusted. 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼

Son's signature move is cutting in from the left and shooting. That's literally what he's known for. So the WH player not only allows Son to easily get behind him initially but also rolls out the red carpet and kindly invites Son to his inside to score. FFS.

Everything that worked brilliantly in the first half just stopped like a light switch was flipped. All because Southampton, a team with nowhere near our talent or ability, simply said to themselves "these guys will wilt if we up our intensity." We were slicing through them at will with Havertz, Pulisic, and Mount. Werner was terrorizing their CB's with runs in behind. Chillwell looked like a monster marauding down the left flank. And then we looked like a totally different team second half. Fitness was a huge part of that, yes, but Lampard was again out coached when it came to adjustments in tactics. When you combine an already young, inexperienced coach with the hyper condensed fixture list that severely limits time on the training pitch this is a recipe for disaster.

It's the exact same embarrassing pattern as last season. Over and over and over again. We dominate an inferior opponent, let off the gas, and the opponent comes out of the half time team talk full of confidence to take the game to us. This is exactly what happened just a couple of weeks ago against Spuds. Dominate the first half and then they simply raise their intensity and we crumble completely. This HAS to be on Lampard. Happens all to frequently to be flukey. If he was ANY other person his job would be in jeopardy already. What is even more shocking is how Southapmton looked miles fitter than we did. We were dead on our feet for the last 20 minutes there.
-
My word. My fucking word. From our most dominant attacking performance of the season to the worst defensive one I can recall.
-
Havertz was nearly flawless other than the goal. Just still needs to slightly speed up his passing. Kept it just a fraction of a second too long and allowed himself to get dispossessed.
-
We look awesome going forward but still panicky at the back. Southampton have repeatedly looked dangerous when they have the ball in our final third. We really miss the presence and organization of Thiago Silva. Also, Kante has been poor here. Kova would make a big difference. Dreadful time to concede as well. That'll give them all the hope and belief they needed not to put their heads down. Now they'll come out in the second half and be fired up when we should've been out of sight.
-
Pickford will be thanking his lucky stars tonight. Spared a red card and a shocking, Kepa-like stoppage time howler that would've won it for Liverpool by VAR.
-
Havertz out wide again? Not ideal, but at least we have some natural width with CP10 back.
-
Yeah, this'll be a very tough match. No Mendy, best CB out, coming off a long break so will probably be rusty.
-
We enter the international break getting two of our most important attacking players back (Pulisic & Ziyech) and now as we come back from the international break we may have lost two of our most important defensive players (Chilwell & Mendy). Said this for years, but I absolutely fucking hate midseason international breaks. Just the worst. Fuck off. Chilwell is one of our most important overall players so I really hope this is only precautionary.

Hasn't a big bust up between Frank and Alonso been reported? Hasn't been seen or heard from since West Brom.
-
Gonna be a lot of annoyed and unhappy players now. Frank hasn't even had Alonso or Rüdiger in the 18 lately, ffs. How is there any way back for either of them now? They looked 100% certain to leave. I imagine Tomori will still get games so it's easier to see why he decided to stay.
-
Again, wtf happens to players who can't find loan moves? They just sit at home chilling until January? Drinkwater, Baba Rahman, etc
-
Honestly, I think that's a terrible destination for him. He 100% needs to go out on loan, but is it really going to be beneficial to him playing in by far the worst side in the league and one who will certainly go down? He and his team are going to be a used week in and week out. I hoped he'd go somewhere like Southampton or Palace or something as was rumored where he'd at least have good coaching and a solid setup around him. Can't see Fulham improving him.

Seems the days of Arse being the laughing stock of the transfer window every summer and never addressing their actual needs is over. If they secure Partey they'll have reinforced all of their problems areas over the last couple of transfer windows. CB, LB, DM, and AM depth. They've passed the incompetence torch to Man United.
-
Annoyingly good signing for them. Exactly what they need to complete their team. All 3 big London clubs have had fantastic transfer windows.
-
Nah, Everton will crumble like they always do against them. They'll get smacked back down to earth I think.
