If we get through Real Madrid we’ll beat City. We’ll frustrate the fuck outta them and beat them on the counter.
-
PSG can’t handle being forced back very well because it happens to them so rarely. They we’re fortunate last round as I thought Bayern could’ve scored a bunch more.
-
PSG are one of those sides that you can’t allow to flow and build rhythm. You have to aggressively get in their faces and rattle them. Get them off their game. They’ll toy with you otherwise.

Lukaku is finally at a club where he’s respected and adored by the fans and the manager. Inter winning their first title in ages and are pretty ambitious. Not sure if he’d even want to leave, never mind the fact that he’d probably cost way more than he’s worth. I’d have him back of course but not for £100m or whatever. If we pull off the miracle and win the CL I think we may be able to pull a Hazard and convince Haaland. Kane is 100% impossible.
-
Decent enough result but if we had a killer or two up top we’d be popping the champagne and dreaming about the final already. Anyways, Kante was unreal today and completely dominated the entire Real Madrid midfield 3. Jorginho was calm, cool, and collected in there as well. We weren’t troubled through the middle at all shockingly.
-
As shit as Werner’s finishing and decision making have been he’s still wreaking havoc with his pace and running. Just have stick with him for a while and hope he delivers. Getting in the positions, making the darting runs. Just needs to get his confidence.
-
If we had say….Erling Haaland running like a train with all these counter attacks we’d be completely out of sight with 3 or 4 goals.
-
Effortlessly carving through them over and over again and then failing with the final pass. And this is the punishment for not taking our chances.
-
For my sanity’s sake I pray we don’t have one of those games where our press looks nonchalant and we just allow them to boss 70% of the possession. This being the away leg we can afford to be a bit more ambitious and try to take the game to them.
-
If we had the Leipzig, in form Werner and Pulisic in top form I think we’d rip this Madrid team apart with those two fullbacks they have starting. And if Kova was fit we could probably really trouble Modric and Kroos who are quite slow.
-
Suspected there was a reason he tried Azpi out there at the weekend. Not pleased with that tbh, but Azpi has come through in so many big games. TT probably wanted his experience and leadership out there. But damn, this exact XI just a couple of days ago looked shattered and completely exhausted. And now they all start against Real Madrid? Hmmm…
-
This meme doesn’t even make sense. Real Madrid we’re the biggest proponents of the Super League and we’re the most desperate to form it due to their colossal debt. If anything, the world should be cheering for us to win, not RM.
-
I actually think TT has quite the selection dilemma in defense. All of our CB’s have been playing so well it all comes down to his tactical game plan. Does he think we’ll have the lions share of possession? Then AC may make sense with Azpi as a wing back like he was against WH. Could be why he trailed that system. Does he think we’ll be under siege and need an aerial threat on set pieces to try to pinch an away goal? Then Zouma may start. Will be very interesting which way he goes. Likewise whether we go false 9 with Havertz, Werner up top, or he surprises everyone and starts Oli to catch them off guard.
-
Bums like Ieanacho scoring for fun and Werner is out here missing sitters nearly every game. 😑😑😑 This dude looked like Bambi on ice since he left City. A total bust. And now, just like Lingard since joining West Ham, the guy has been a match winner over and over seemingly. Whatever. I stopped caring too much about Leicester for a couple of match weeks now. All about holding off WH, Liverpool, and Spuds for us now.
-
Possession is nothing if we can’t connect the midfield and attack. Look at recent matches without Kova for proof. Neither of J5 or Kante are going to play passes through the lines. And moving Mount back into a 3 weakens our press.
-
I trust the likes of Thiago Silva, Azpi, and our defense as a whole tomorrow but just fail to see how we’re going to get a real foothold in midfield without Kova in there. He’s the most important of our CM’s. Without him there Modric, Casemiro and Kroos might be able to just completely lock us down and dominate the ball. What those 3 struggle against is legs and driving runs which Kova specializes in. We could potentially move Mason further back but then our attack suffers. As individuals, Benzema and Vinicius are very good but they don’t terrify you like say Mbappe & Neymar. I think our defense can deal with them. If we were totally injury free and fresh I’d seriously fancy us.
-
Well hopefully we can finish in the CL places so we can be in play for all these strikers. Haaland probably won’t look our way if we’re bidding giant other big clubs who can offer CL footy.
-
I think if Mbappe ever moves it’ll only be to Real Madrid and he’d probably cost much more than Kane. For most clubs Haaland would make much more long term sense due to his age, but the combo of Kane being English, being totally settled and dominant in the PL already, and the fact that there likely won’t be a bidding war for him (unlike Haaland) means he’d probably be United’s preference.
-
Kane is the most famous English player and is probably desperate to break lots of English records. Can’t see him leaving the PL for those reasons. A club like United who are obsessed with commercial appeal and shirt sales and having English players mean he’d be their ideal player. Most famous English player at most famous English club” and all that bullshit. Of course ourselves would be the best fit for him since we have every other piece except for a talismanic #9. But Levy would never do it even if we offered £20m more than anyone else. And I can’t stand the fucking sight of Kane and his awful haircut so I’m fine with that. 😂
-
Can certainly see Kane having enough good will built up with Spuds that they’d grant him a move if he really pushed. If one of the Manchester clubs offer over £100m I think he goes. If that happens I can’t see them selling Son as well. Because with Kane gone they’re instantly a midtable side. With both gone they’re even worse. And they can’t attract players near that quality to replace them. I would hate more than anything to see the most talked about, most hyped up, most “adored” England player Kane playing for Man United. The media coverage would be insufferable. Never mind the fact that he’d instantly make them one of the favorites for the league and CL. If he goes to City I don’t really care. They’re already unreal so he doesn’t really change much.
-
Doubt the players (some of which are older than he is) even pay him much attention. Can’t have a clue what he’s doing in such a job in these circumstances. Probably just outs out a basic framework and the players kind of just run around.
-
City have been fantastic and should have a few goals here. Spuds have been pathetic and barely had a touch. Also pathetic is Martin Tyler’s obsession with Phil Foden. Talking about him as if he’s prime Messi.
-
Mason was the only player outside of our defense that performed well, really. Just sort of limping along at the moment but 3 points are all that matters. Just have to hope we can score a key goal here and there the rest of the way and lean on our defense to carry us over the line.
-
Would be a very harsh red I think. Nowhere for his foot to go really.
-
We look totally shattered. The press and energy are nonexistent.
