Fucking pisses me off that United are so far ahead of us. Lucky as hell just like last season with that clueless clown as manager. The only difference between us and them is that they repeatedly play like utter shit and yet still get 3 points over and over again either by soft penalty awards, VAR helping them, or the opponent making a single dumbass mistake having otherwise been the better side all match. We play poorly or are subpar and are always punished for it. They play poorly and still win. So they’ll coast to 2nd place while we’re battling for 4th. I suppose the only good thing is that it’ll keep Solskjaer in the job for longer and longer. They’re never winning the league with him. Unless they get Haaland, anyways.

All the clubs around us have the one thing we don’t and that’s reliable goals from their forwards. Liverpool, Spuds, and Leicester all have that. Even fucking West Ham do. We cannot capitalize on ball dominance and get Werner into great scoring positions repeatedly and he fluffs them. This is why we will finish 6th.

With our remaining fixtures compared to those chasing us I don’t think we’re making top 4. It’ll take something like last season where everyone around us collapses and we squeak in.

Jorginho has been direct,y responsible for both of Silva’s bookings. But fuck me, Silva barely grazed him accidentally and he jumps in the air as if he’s been shot.

I guess the sloppiness is to be expected coming out of a long break. Likewise from Jorginho and Silva who have been out even longer. But as a whole we look like we have been totally caught off guard by WBA’s tactics here. We didn’t expect them to actually try to play football.

Their strategy is surely going to be to frustrate and defend with their entire team parked around their box and then bring on that ugly mutant that scored a couple against us earlier in the season to try and steal 3 points. Only way it works is if we play slow zombie football like we’ve done in this sort of game many times in recent years.

Liverpool fans and many in the English media have rated Joe Gomez very highly and bigged him up as the next great CB. Guess he’s not gonna see much of the pitch next season. Seems Liverpool have bought about 5 CB’s in a row now.

Think Lukaku would be an awesome fallback option, actually. Not as though there’s a bunch of top strikers out there. He has some frustrating attributes but he scores and scores in lots of different ways. You feed him service and he puts it away. But for me the priority should be a striker who’s excellent technically and can create for himself if necessary. Someone who isn’t almost entirely dependent on perfect service to score like our current #9’s Tammy & Oli are. This is why Dybala would make a lot of sense. But he’s rumored to leave Juve every window seemingly and never does. I’m not even giving a thought to Haaland. Unless Roman reaches in his pocket for a sum that Dortmund can’t say no to that’s not happening.

Man, we have a pretty brutal run in as well. West Ham, Arse, and Leicester all in a row I think. Plus a couple of teams that may be super desperate for points to stay up. Sprinkle in some massive cup games and CL and I’m not sure we’re anywhere near favorites for top 4. We 100% have to win those top 4 head to heads and also not pull a typical Chelsea in between and drop silly points to sides like WBA, Fulham, or Villa. It would be pretty inexcusable to miss out on top 4 to a Liverpool side who have been without a starting CB for months and went on a historically poor run, a Leicester side who have also been ravaged by injury to some of their best players, West Ham who have maybe 1 player who makes our starting XI, and fucking Mourinho and his horrific football carried by 2 players.

The very rare occasions when we actually want Arse to win and they fucking piss it away like clowns. We keep waiting and waiting for West Ham and Leicester to fall away but they keep winning. Annoying as hell. Pretty much every game the rest of the way will be absolutely must win for us at this rate. West Ham having the season of their life where everything is going their way. They don’t have any truly top class players yet look where they are.

My goodness, what a horrendous second half that was. Result is all that matters today but wow. Easily our worst half since TT took over and perhaps our worst half of the season since going down 0-3 to WBA. Thats back to back shocking second half’s domestically after Leeds last week. We just straight up stopped playing.

Under Sarri we just played a million sideways passes and did fuck all with all the possession. Same with Lamps at times. Now we dominate the ball but are frequently penetrating through the lines. We’ve seen Werner in so many 1v1’s with keepers and he fluffs the finish. Just like CP today. We are much more aggressive and and vertical under TT already in just a few weeks. It’ll get better.

Totally disagree. We play very neat and tidy football under TT. We just have an entire attack that can’t finish to save their lives.

Pulisic looks totally devoid of any confidence. Being out of the team for so long has killed him. Struggling to dribble past defenders which he usually did for fun, sloppy passes when teammates are wide open, easy 1v1 with the keeper where he looked like a deer in headlights. ‘Sad to watch him like this. A bit like Ziyech a couple of weeks ago before he got a run of games. Pulisic needs minutes badly to get his confidence back. Hope we don’t get rid in the summer.
