  1. Yeah, looks like Roma are in dire financial straits. And they have a squad filled with old, way past their best players. Competing with Juve and Inter and even Milan and Napoli who can easily outspend them. Recipe for disaster with Mou in charge. It’s actually kind of sad to watch. He’s like an addict who cannot quit. Should’ve just become the Portugal or even England manager in a year or two.
  2. I think Jose is a master at “selling” himself to these big clubs. If Juve has another very poor season next year under Pirlo I could’ve seen them being desperate and turning to a big name like Mou for a short term fix.
  3. Oh, wow. I’m actually shocked Jose would go to another club who will be at a severe disadvantage financially compared to their rivals after leaving Spuds. I figured he’d either become a national team a manager or take another short break and wait for a big club job to open up like Juventus.
  4. There was probably no world in which Dortmund were gonna sell both Sancho and Haaland in the same window. So it makes sense for them to cash in on Sancho. But damn, doesn’t Haaland have a release clause for super cheap after this next season? Someone is going to get the best value signing in history. But I wonder if Haaland will kick up a huge fuss this summer if they don’t have CL footy.
  5. Sancho doesn’t make sense for us with the number of attacking kids we already have. Especially not for 90m.
  6. Yeah, Lukaku is in the perfect team, with the perfect coach, and is in the league where he can dominate despite his technical limitations. Hard to see him wanting to go anywhere. Seems like it may be Haaland or bust in terms of big name, mega money strikers. And Dortmund are already signaling that they’re playing hardball with him like they did with Sancho last summer. Someone either pays like 150m or he stays for 1 more season. We may have to go the cheaper route where Tuchel identifies a striker who can fit his style or we try to convince Aguero to come in as a short stopgap.
  7. Arse were arguably in their worst run of form and ravaged by injury if I remember correctly the last time we played them and they still came out and battered us. Their players seem to love raising their levels against us. So if they can play a part in damaging our top 4 chances they’ll relish it. I 100% expect them to be a tough out.
  8. We have City, Arse, and Leicester all on the bounce. It’s not totally inconceivable at all that we could lose all 3. Spuds meanwhile have a few teams that may already be on the beach. I trust our boys in the biggest matches of our season, but strange things can happen.
  9. We probably don’t have to worry about Spuds at this point but they’re still annoyingly close behind us.
  10. Let’s hope that United are stupidly still enamored with Sancho and spunk all their money on him rather than going after Kane or Haaland who would be much better fits. That way we have less competition. United still need a CB as well who will be hugely expensive. Until it was just mentioned here I didn’t even consider the idea of Tammy + cash as an offer for Kane. But if he gives any indication that he wants out we should definitely try that. His age doesn’t concern me at all. Late 20’s is the perfect age for our current squad and he’d easily give you 4-5 more years of top level play. Look at Giroud. Of course there’s that small matter of Daniel Levy… 🥶
  11. Our players looked like they knew Fulham couldn’t lay a glove on us so they just kinda coasted for much of that 2nd half. The whole back 5 just look insanely comfortable and confident even if a mistake is made since there’s enough pace to cover. Even when changes are made. Hope Rüdi is back for Madrid, though. Don’t trust Zouma in a game like that where they’ll be really pushing to score.
  12. Ziyech had some sloppy moments there but was far from our worst player. Pierced the Fulham lines numerous times with great passes. This hasn’t been poor from him by any means.
  13. I think Timo will be incredible playing off an actual #9 next season. It’ll do his confidence a world of good not having to be depended on as the lone striker and he can concentrate on his out-to-in runs that he’s so good at. Even in this horrid form he’s creating chances and terrorizing defenders in open space. We need to turn Werner into our Heung Min Son next year. We need our Harry Kane, though.
  14. This is like the first half against Madrid. Creating golden chances at will but choking at the final touch repeatedly. Once again, imagine what a proper, world class striker would do in this team… 😔
  15. We are just letting them run through the middle of the pitch with no resistance.
  16. Our CM is totally nonexistent. Billy look super rusty and is getting bullied. Ziyech doing himself zero favors here either. Giving the ball away repeatedly. We have no buildup from the middle at all.
  17. What a fucking touch, Mason Mount!
  18. Surprise, surprise. Another small, shit, relegation bound side come up against us, press high, and we simply cannot deal with it. ‘How does this happen time and again?! How?
  19. Hopefully TT has got them motivated and extremely hungry for 3 points here. Unlike against Brighton. We can’t overlook them and drop more idiotic points. Absolutely must win this at all costs.
  20. Thought for sure Giroud would start here. Not even in the squad. If nothing else he could’ve used some minutes here in case we need him sharp for Real Madrid.
  21. Knowing us we’ll lose to Fulham in embarrassing fashion and then beat Real Madrid and Leicester comfortably. 😏
  22. United will comfortably win this trophy. Which is fine because at least Arse won’t.
  23. City are a completely soulless club to me who I neither hate nor think much about at all. Potentially losing to them in a final would be gutting not because I hate City but rather just because it’s a final against a PL rival. If it was Liverpool/Arse/United I’d be utterly devastated and depressed. City are just kind of a nothing club. Anyway, I think City would MUCH rather face Real Madrid than ourselves in the final. As we showed yesterday, their midfield is slow and can be blitzed through with pacey players and aggressive pressing. City will know that we can damage them in the exact ways that they’re susceptible in.
  24. So, not quite as bad as it could’ve been in the end for PSG. If they play out of their skins and catch City on a poor day they can still get through. Battle of the Champions League bottlers it is!
