I think every conceivable star would have to align perfectly for us to have a shot at Haaland considering how many big clubs are in desperate need for a top class #9. Think it would maybe take a Hazard sort of scenario where we win the CL this season to prove to him that we can take him to an even higher level. Feels weird to say after so many years of Barca & Real Madrid hoovering up the top players, but I don’t think we’d have to worry about them for a while. Aren’t both still in dire financial shape due to COVID? Juve and Bayern never spend this sort of cash on a single player so can’t see them being in play. What sucks is our two biggest rivals for him are the Manchester clubs. And it would surely be extremely difficult to turn down City if they make a big play for him. Liverpool may also be a sneaky club interested. Firmino has dipped and doesn’t score much anymore. Whichever PL club gets him is instantly the title favorite I think. And if we don’t get him the club I’d least want to see him end up at is fucking Man United. The media would be unbearable. Let’s hope they blow their load on Sancho instead.

As absolutely hilarious as it is to see them get embarrassed like this, it probably would’ve been better for us in the PL if they had a few more EL matches to focus on.

Chances are going to be very hard to come by with that midfield, methinks. Both Thiago and AC being out really hurts us at the back forcing Zouma to play in that role. Hope our boys don’t succumb to the pressure here and we try to really assert ourselves like we did in the first leg. Can’t just stand off them and play scared of conceding. Because if they score first our players may panic.

Getting in great scoring spaces and pretty easily carving through their midfield but just the last bit of incision missing as usual. Need to get Pulisic and Ziyech the ball in space more on that right side. Nearly every time we did they found joy.

I’ve been a big time Christensen critic for ages here. But wow, has this system and manager done him wonders. He legitimately has performed at a world class level since coming in to the team. When he isn’t being pulled across the pitch and getting into physical duels with attackers he’s top class. His biggest fault was always how weak he is physically so he’d get bullied. Last thing he needs to add is an eye for forward passes over the top.

West Ham are legitimately pretty good. Annoyingly... 😒 We need them to go away.

Don’t think 1 goal will be enough. With the players they have in attack it may only take one deflection or sloppy pass for them to get in a score. Need to really push for a second to break their mentality.

Really Everton’s only dangerous moments came as a result of careless giveaways by Kova or Jorginho in the middle of the pitch. Just not realizing players are closely marking them. Need to really cut that out. Thought Kai and CHO were very effective at breaking the lines. But unfortunately we haven’t got the ball to Timo in a single dangerous area yet. He seems wasted out wide.

Certainly looks like TT has gone with a more physical, taller defense here for sure. James and Alonso as the wingbacks rather than Chilly and CHO shows that too. For love of god, all I ask is that we don’t allow Everton to come out and bully us or press us into making silly mistakes. We need to take it to them from the off.

I like it overall. Not so much changing the CB’s up for such a huge game. Especially with Zouma who is the most mistake prone CB. Really hope we see a confident, assertive Havertz here. Get him in form and it would be huge for the remainder of the season.

I’m thinking of the Duncan Ferguson game after they sacked what’s his face and then the last time we played them when they were missing like 5 of their best players and still beat us. Or maybe it’s all running together in my head and that was the same match... 😂 Either way these are annoying as hell and love raising their game against us big time.

As long as we don’t do what we’ve done against them the last few times we’ve played them we should be good. And I put a lot of that down to poor management. We let them dictate the physicality and energy of the games. All they really did to us under Lamps was press and get a bit rough with us and we couldn’t handle it. It was embarrassing. Confident that under TT we won’t allow that kind of thing. Not on this current run of form we’re on and not with top 4 at implications in this game. Think the two biggest things to be concerned about are Richarlison diving like he always does in dangerous areas and one of our CB’s making a dumbass mistake and letting Calvert-Lewin sneak past them for his usual tap in.

This is why United are a lock for top 4. They play turgid, shit football but they’re fantastic defensively and are lethal on the counter. They’ll just grind out wins the rest of the way. Its all about holding off Everton, WH, and Spuds for us. And hoping Leicester’s awful injury list eventually wears them down.

I predict United will win this somehow in the jammiest, luckiest, flukiest way as Ole usually does when people predict them to get battered. As for Liverpool, I think they’ll be fine next season. Once they’re refreshed, have a couple new faces, and have fans back they’ll be contenders again. No chance are they done or is Klopp finished there.

Our attacking ambition went out the window last 15 or so minutes but before that we were outstanding both on the counter and defensively. Beautiful, one touch pinging it around and terrorizing Liverpool repeatedly with the threat of the turnover. Best performance under TT so far.
