A striker will surely be bought. We need to pray we get CL football so we can throw mega money to convince Haaland. Because there aren’t many other options out there. Lukaku isn’t leaving Inter.

That half was Timo Werner’s 2021 season encapsulated in 45 minutes. Does everything right (excellent movement, dangerous runs, taking players on when he gets it) and then fluffs his lines when it matters most. He needs to be made permanently into a 2nd striker or inside left forward next season playing off a proper #9. Then we’ll see the best of him I feel. It’ll do his confidence a world of good.

It’s weird. I would be disappointed if we lose this but I wouldn’t be devastated. Whereas I would be devastated if we lost to them in the league game. Top 4 is just so much more important to the club than a trophy we’ve won so many times already. Yes, historically speaking a trophy is much more important and we won’t look back in 10 years to reminisce about finishing 3rd/4th, but for the well-being of the club in the short term it’s much more important to play in the CL.

The home kit is shocking. Just awful. Hate the yellow accents. Hopefully it’ll be like that shirt we had a couple years back that had those random silhouettes of London all over it where you couldn’t really see the design from the zoomed out TV angle. I’ve always been a fan of Nike stuff but their kit designs in recent years have been horrendous.

Havertz and Werner will surely improve next season but if we choose not to buy a striker I think we’ll have a mirror season to this current one. Battling until the very end of the season for 4th. Yes, we can can get by fine but we won’t push for the PL title with our current setup. City and Liverpool haven’t played with a traditional #9 and won the league in recent season but the difference between them and us is that they get loads of goals from 3-4 different players. So if we don’t get an outright striker we at least need another goal scorer of some kind.

Our game against Leicester might be the top 4 decider.

If Leicester somehow, someway manage to lose here against the United youth team then I’ll laugh and say fair play. But if they batter this side as they should and are gifted 3 points with no resistance then I’ll be pissed.

That’s fucked up. Imagine how pissed we’d be seeing that team if we hadn’t beaten City. I’d be livid.

That Arse XI is shocking, my word. As for West Ham now, they still have 3 piss easy fixtures remaining. If things go disastrously for us and Leicester they still have a slim shot if they win all 3.
