It’s hilarious to watch how depressed United fans are these days. All of the other big boys are loading up and have all signed multiple good players when they’re already miles ahead of United. Meanwhile, they’ve signed only 1 player in Cunha who nobody else was after and have been “negotiating” for Mbeumo for like 6 weeks. As I said though, Cunha and Mbeumo are annoyingly good signings for them considering their position. Two attackers who have caused us loads of problems when we’ve played against them. If they can pull off just a decent striker to upgrade Hojlund they’ll be much improved and dangerous. Maybe an Ollie Watkins?

Put a pause on the CB stuff for now since Tosin and Trev look super solid and Levi has gotten better and better recently. Wait until the next window and assess. The there’s Villa & Man United who haven’t really kicked into gear yet. With no European football at all I actually think United could be dangerous as an outside contender for the final UCL place if they nail the rest of the transfer window. If they sign Cunha, Mbeumo, a striker, and a CM of some sort then they’ll have a pretty strong team tbf to them.

Ekitike to Newcastle can only mean one thing, sadly. Isak will be going to Liverpool. Surely no chance Newcastle have an £85m backup striker and I can’t imagine the player himself would go there to play second fiddle.

With Wesley Fofana at this point I’m just going to view him the exact same way I do Lavia. I’ll enjoy the 30% of the season they’ll be on the pitch and looking brilliant but we’ll never be able to fully count on them. Just keep them around for quality depth that will be in and out of the team on the rare occasions they’re fit.

I just don’t see us shipping Sanchez away at this point. Like I’ve been saying since the Maignan ordeal, I think once that move didn’t happen the club have ceased attempts to get a new keeper this window. They figured Maignan for dirt cheap was too good to pass up and saw a crazy “market opportunity” as the saying goes. Once Milan played hardball we walked away. Sanchez will have until January to again show he should stay. So the club should now be prioritizing Cucu cover and getting Rodrygo/Fofana to complete our team. The finishes from João Pedro are phenomenal of course but the most impressive thing for me is the composure. He is ICE COLD in the final third so far for us. Looks like he’s finishing in training!

I really don’t like how Fabrizio keeps reiterating that Garnacho wants to remain in the PL. Makes me think he’s absolutely still an option for us. 🤢🤢🤢

We sent Mount to United coming off of a poor season and with only a year left in his contract for £55m. If they come in for Jackson who, despite being super frustrating, has proven that he can score goals in a top league then we shouldn’t sell for a pound less than £70m. His upside and potential is WAY higher than Madueke’s who will go for £52m. Unless we go out and make a marquee statement attacking signing before the window closes I’m coming around to keeping Jackson. I was all for selling him before but having thought about it I’d keep him unless we get 70m+. Imagine an unlucky scenario where in match week 3 or something one of João Pedro or Delap snap an ankle and are out for months and we had sold Jackson. We’d be right back in the situation we found ourselves in last season where we had only 1 senior striker.

How do you say yes to Newcastle if you’re Ekitike unless you e been assured Isak is going and you’ll be starting?

He might regret signing this new deal if Arse sign Eze still after getting Madueke.

Newcastle were the first team that popped in my head. Yes they have Isak but they badly need another striker. Not only because Isak has injury history but because it’s pretty much him or nobody right now for them I think. They have been linked with Ekitike in recent day and Jackson could be a cheaper alternative. I personally wouldn’t sell him to them unless we get £75m or something too good to turn down.

As frustrating and infuriating as Jackson is sometimes (well, a lot of the time) I don’t think it would be wise to sell him to any club in the PL that will be competing with us for a UCL place. That’s a couple of times now that Fabrizio has tweeted about multiple PL clubs being interested. But unless he’d agree to go to somewhere like that’s relatively “harmless” to us (which I doubt) then I think it’s too risky and could bite us in the ass. Only way I’d sell him to an actual rival is if we got someone we really want back like Rogers.

Yeah, perhaps. But I wouldn’t have played Noni at all in that case.
