Don’t fear them. They’re no threat to the top 4. But if I were a Newcastle/Villa/Spuds fan who are eyeing up a potential 5th place UCL spot I’d be worried about them.
-
If they line up with a midfield duo of Casemiro and Bruno they’re going to get turned over frequently by the better teams. But their attack should be good enough to win them plenty of games against the lesser sides they got embarrassed by time and again last season. They’re a club we definitely have to keep an eye on and we can’t write them off like I had hoped.
-
United’s central midfield, defense, and keeper are weak still and if not addressed they’re going to get killed against all the big teams. But their attack with Mbeumo, Cunha, Bruno, and whichever new striker they buy will be annoying as hell to play against for anyone. Lots of pace, lots of legs, and players who can all shoot and score from distance. With 1 game a week for much of the season they could be sneaky decent.

Newcastle fans must be raging. Fight for UCL football, achieve it on the final day of the season, desperate to establish themselves amongst the big boys. They’ve now missed out on 3 striker targets in the span of a couple of weeks. João Pedro 🛑 Ekitike 🛑 Wissa 🛑 And if I remember correctly they wanted Mbeumo themselves before he turned them down for United. They really could actually go for and make great use of Jackson. And they may be desperate enough to pay what we want at this point.
-
Aw man, United finally getting their ass off the couch and paying up for Mbeumo now. Was really hoping the Newcastle move for Wissa moved quickly and kept United in the mud missing out on Mbeumo. Looks like it scared them into action instead.
-
When Chelsea spend big it’s a cudgel all the pundits use to shit on us. When Liverpool spend 300-400m this summer they’ll all play the net spend card.
-
Probably strike out on Wissa next as well. Surely United will be forced to pull their finger out and finally push through Mbeumo. Because I can’t imagine Brentford selling both. They’ll risk their PL status if they lose the 35-40 goals they score between them + their manager.

Think you’ll be in the extreme minority with this take, brother! I thought GNX was an awesome album. Much better than his previous record. Agree about this OVO gear. Looks super tacky.

The links with us were silly as he’d have just as hard of a time getting any minutes here. But it feels like he should be praying that Arse don’t sign Eze. Their supporters were already getting annoyed at Arteta not playing him enough last season. How is he going to get minutes if they have Odegaard and Eze at #10 and Saka + Madueke on the right?
-
I know they didn’t spend anything really last summer but seriously, how are they going to be able to spend like £400m in a single window?
-
I wonder what kind of number we’d even be talking about if we tried to push hard for Rogers.
-
Too bad Drake is the corniest artist out there who was completely destroyed and whose credibility is in the dirt after Kendrick annihilated him. 🤷♂️ Seems people in the UK aren’t bothered though judging by the speed with which this merch is gonna sell out!
-
The level of club that suits him. He’s not Chelsea quality. Hopefully Villa move for him before we push forward with our interest.
-
Don’t need Eze and Trev should probably be completely untouchable after the season he’s had since returning. This Simon Phillips dude seems to just throw a million things at the wall pulled from his ass and they never come to pass. Almost comes across like an AI programmed to make up muppet wet dream transfer targets to farm Twitter engagement.
-
It’s the link that won’t flush. I’d be surprised if Garnacho doesn’t happen at this point. The Fofana link died almost immediately and we haven’t been linked with anyone else beyond just “appreciating” Rogers. Our scouts/recruitment team probably view Garnacho as good value if they can get him for £40m or less. In their minds they’ll be thinking of he simply does okay they can flip him for a good profit Madueke style in a couple of years.
-
United fans are melting down on RedCafe over Jackson but I actually think he’d be pretty decent for them. He’s miles better than the dogshit they’ve got in Zirkzee and Hojlund. If we can bleed them for a great fee AND avoid using that money to essentially swap him with Garnacho then I’m fine with it.
-
Didn’t that O’Reily kid just sign a new deal or was rumored to be on the brink of doing so?
-
Hato + Rogers would make this a solid 8.5 out of 10 window. Probably as good as we could’ve realistically done. New top class keeper would be the only blemish if we can pull off those two deals above.
-
Another forward of Ekitike’s profile doesn’t make any sense for us anymore. Do t know why our name is still being put out there. João Pedro has instantly stepped in and looked lethal and at home and Delap has looked promising as well. Why would we spend another £80m+ on another striker? If we have that kind of money to throw at another attacker it should be Rodrygo or Rogers.
-
Liverpool will get Isak in the end. There’s no chance he turns down that move and will push Newcastle to let him go I think. They’re going to sign TWO £110m+ players in a single window. Let’s see how the hundreds of Liverpool pundits in the media react now that their beloved club who always does things “the right way” unlike City and Chelsea are spending insane money and bringing in 6-7 players in a single window.
-
I actually think he would get decent minutes rotating with Gittens on the left. Not saying that’s what I’d do or want to see, but I can definitely envision Maresca using him quite a bit early on as we get Gittens up to speed and used to the managers ideas.
-
Bayern pushing hard for Luis Diaz. I assume that unfortunately means they aren’t after Nkunku anymore. Seems like he’s going to stay at this point and that Jackson may be the one to go eventually.
-
Tend to agree with this. Unless it was just Maresca sending a message to NJ that he needs to grow up and that he will be buried in the bench if he doesn’t work his ass off. But I think it’s more likely that he already has multiple suitors and we didn’t want him to get injured before a big move.
-
Kind of strange how he seems so highly rated on the internet yet hasn’t really been linked with anyone this summer and no big clubs have moved aggressively for him yet.
-
Weird how we haven’t heard a peep about Veiga. Either about staying or going. It probably makes sense to keep him since we aren’t even linked with another LB currently. But at the same time the entire reason he left on loan in the first place was because he wanted to start games. I didn’t watch a second of his time at Juve so I have no clue what he did there.
