  1. I do find it funny that because Madrid want to offload this players that they are not up to standard! Lets remember WHY they are selling them, because they are buying Kaka, Ronaldo and possibly Ribery and Villa and who knows who else. They need to make room and to cut down their wage bill... Doesn't make them bad players. Robben has still been absoltutely devestating for Real when fit, and if we could pick him up for around £10m then i would say that would be a fantastic signing even if he isn't always fit. Sneijder and Van Der Vaart are also both class players still and would be well worth signing. Huntelaar didn't do too bably in the short time at Real and has fallen out with them for different reasons. Still a good player.
  2. Van Der Vaart or Sneijder would be good signings, as would Robben at the price Madrid would have to let them go for.
  3. Also a decent run of fixtures during the ACN period which is nice to see.
  4. A decent start to the season for us, but the run in is looking tricky. Liverpool second from last game away could be a decider of some sort for sure....
  5. Yes it would be fantastic, but can you see us spending £70m on 2 players? I hope we do, but i would think it is very unlikely.
  6. It would be great to sign both Tevez and Aguero (although i can't see it possibly happening). Tevez would be more than capable of playing out wide in a front 3 as is Aguero, a front 3 of Aguero, Drogba and Tevez would be pretty devestating in my opinion. One of the problems we have as fans looking at the transfers for this summer is that we have no idea how Ancelotti plans to set up his formation. We all assume we will continue with a 4-3-3 but will we? Playing a 4-3-3 and having Drogba and Anelka already rules out a move for Villa for example.
  7. Looks like Carvalho is definately on his way out now... With his age and with his injury problems and with Mancienne ready to come through it would not hurt us. Alex had a fantastic season, Ivanovic has also looked class when played so we are more than capable of coping with Carvalho's absense.
  8. Aparently we are having discussions with his representitives before we go ahead and make a bid. Still hoping we go ahead with this one rather than Villa or Ribery.
  9. I would be happy to see Tevez come. Too many people are now judging him off last season. And he wasn't utilised properly at Man U last season, and he certainly didn't seem to happy for the majority of it either. The season before he was class, and he is a class player and i think would work very well for us...
  10. A loan move to the premiership would be very good for Franco. At the same time though would we be able to cope with just Drogba and Anelka? If we did let Di Santo go on loan it would signal to me that we are bringing in another striker..... Franco does need games, if he can play the majority of games at Blackburn then that would be great for him. But i would be suprised if such a move was decided upon even before pre season starts.
  11. Different set up now, different manager. It will all depend on how the move is sold to him. Playing at Chelsea under Ancelotti is not the same as playing at Chelsea under Jose....
  12. Yup, a loan move to Reading would be good for him. Unless of course Ancelotti wants to keep him around. But at the same time does Cork need another Championship loan? Hasn't he already proved himself at that level?
  13. Exactly, which is why we won't be looking at Benzema at the moment.
  14. Lol, git I was just thinking, oh god not another one.....
  15. Well thats fine with me. It would be something of a suprise if we was actually in for any of these players in the first place....
  16. Aguero can play right across the front 3, so for me it would be the perfect signing for us.
  17. Both World Class and young, but like i said at the moment we don't nees an out and out centre forward. Unless we are letting either Drogs or Anelka go.
  18. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is said to have personally intervened to convince Russia star Yuri Zhirkov that his future is at Stamford Bridge. CSKA Moscow player Zhirkov has stung his suitors with indiscreet comments that he would prefer to play for his boyhood favourites Barcelona and that he would not be happy to sit on the bench for either club. Chelsea had been close to securing his signing, but Barcelona have targeted him, primarily to vie with Eric Abidal for the left-back spot following Sylvinho's departure. In west London, the versatile left-sided player is likely to be deployed further forward, though Florent Malouda's resurgence means he may not be guaranteed the star billing he might expect. He would cost between £15m and £20m and reports in Russia suggest that a deal is close - and that England will be his destination. Abramovich, who has close links to CSKA through a huge sponsor deal with his former club Sibneft, spoke to Zhirkov after Russia's 3-0 defeat of Finland in Helskinki on Wednesday night. Afterwards, his Russia team-mates joked that he should pack his bags for Chelsea. More seriously, it has been suggested CSKA's league game at FC Moscow will be his last before a transfer is agreed. Although Zhirkov this week said he would prefer to play for Barcelona, he did not rule out moving to Chelsea, which he described as a 'dream for anyone'. Source: Daily Mail
  19. Lol Benzema is a quality player of that there is no doubt. My only feeling with him is that with Drogba (on his day best striker around) and Anelka (Prem top scorer) We have no room for another out and out centre forward. We would have serious problems keeping All 3 happy, if we DO sign a centre forward it would need to be a real up and commer like Di Santo who is willing to bide their time. This is why for me Aguero is the perfect signing, or Pato. Both are highly skillful players who are capable of playing on the wings as well as a striker if we ever played 2 up top.
  20. Man Utd can sign Benzema and Ribery. I want us to sign Aguero and/or Pato.
  21. We would be nuts to sign any 30+ players...... absolutely nuts. I don't care who they are or what they have done, we need to be building for the future of this club.
  22. Bloody hell i wouldn't. Mikel is one of the best young Midfield prospects around in world football. They can have Belletti for £40m if they want though....
  23. The money the likes of Madrid and Barca make from TV revenues is a lot bigger than what we would get due to the different rules over in Spain. Fortunately Casillas is very highly thought about in Madrid and spain in general so Cech would not be a target. But someone like Essien or Alex for example could be players that Madrid might want to try and prise away from us. Madrid have smashed the world transfer record 4 times in a row without anyone getting close now.
