Good to see our young players performing well. Stoch and Mancienne both impressing on international duty this week.... -
Pretty good. Doing some light ball work, should be back for pre season aparently....

Chelsea Admit Their Financial Targets Were Too Ambitious
EskWeston replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Yes, we were also having massive financial problems, and had we not found a buyer then there is no telling what would have happened. Who knows what would have happened if Roman hadn't taken over. Someone else would have done i am sure. One thing is for sure and that is no matter what anyone outside this club says Roman has been excellant for this club. -
Any reason for that?

It is difficlut to know what will happen with Sahar now. He had a couple of poor seasons and in December it looked certain we would let him go. But he has had a very good second half of the season on loan and has looked back to a very good level. The club may well decide to give him another loan to see if he can keep that level up, regular football is the key though. The move to Pompey looking back was a very bad choice....

Roman clearing out half of the loan to him was a huge step in the right direction for us. There will come a time soon where he will clear the rest too. Then we will be in an extremely strong position. The club financially are moving in the right direction. It was a big job to take us up to the level where we are and wanted to be and it needed money thrown at it. Now we are levelling things out more and the wage bill will come down also as i am sure we have learned our lessons. -
Stoch has bundles of ability and he has come on a lot in the last couple of seasons, always involved with the first team for the second half of the season, making the bench and a couple of appearances is probably more than he would have expected for this season. Hopefully in pre season he can show Ancelotti that he is worth keeping around and being given some chances, because give the chances Miroslav can be a potent weapon for our attack.

Frank is exactly the sort of player who could go on to be a very good manager. And Chelsea should do what they can to ensure that it is with us that he starts his coaching. Having Frank work his way through the coaching ranks here would be great for our young players and eventually possibly the first team. It would be great to see ex-players coaching the next Generation of Chelsea stars.

Excellant move for Brendan, good to see him moving so rapidly up the ladder. Was a shame to lose him as he is most certainly a top top coach, and it would be nice to see him back one day as manager because he can most certainly go all the way to the top of football management.

Not always. If thats the case then are chasing half of the worlds footballers The press have a free reign when it comes to the transfer window to make up whatever transfer stories they want to sell their papers. Chelsea released a statement saying that we never made a bid.
-
Hopefully in a deal involving Pato. If we are letting Malouda go then we must certainly have a big attacker lined up. Ribery, Aguero, Pato....
-
Why not? Played more than enough league football now. Who will you convince to come and play second fiddle to the best left back in the world?

Ivanovic finally got to show his worth this season. He is still young and we should definately keep him on. Our defence is one of our strongest points for sure. How about this for next season?: Right Back: Bosingwa/Johnson Centre Backs: Terry/Alex/Ivanovic/Mancienne Left Back: Cole/Bertrand

The agent of Branislav Ivanovic says the player will staying at Chelsea despite reported interest in him from Italy. The Serbia international signed for The Blues last summer from Lokomotiv Moscow, but was linked with an early exit from Stamford Bridge in January with Milan and Fiorentina reportedly keen to acquire his services. A series of impressive performances, however, in the Champions League and towards the tail end of last season have helped him cement his place in the Chelsea line-up. And agent Vlado Borozan says new Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti is determined to keep hold of him, having previously tried to sign him during his time at the San Siro. "Ivanovic will remain at Chelsea,” he told TMW. “He is on the list of players Ancelotti believes in. He wanted to sign him at Milan.” Source: Setanta Sports

Depends on the money, how much the player would want to move ect... I wouldn't that signing young would be totally out of the question.
-
Yes, would be happy to see us bring Young over.

Sergio Aguero joins the other Manchester club
EskWeston replied to .Cee's topic in Transfer Archives
Aguero's versatility in the front 3 is why he would be my main transfer target this summer. It doesn't seem though that at the moment he is very interested in moving away from Atletico which is why there isn't much noise about him.... -
Some excellant fixtures this pre season. Should be a good build up for us and hopefully we can get some decent results as well..

Esteemed Spanish football correspondent Guillem Balague has revealed that Chelsea have put in a £43 million bid for Valencia’s David Villa. Lol, Balague talks so much crap it is unbelieveable. His stories are about as reliable as an MP's expenses.

Would those be happy tears or tears of despair???
-
According to reports, although it wouldn't suprise me at all if we did. Although he is a solid keeper we are clearly looking forward, and could do with someone to give Cech something of a challenge.
-
Looks pretty likely if you ask me. First 2 signings of the summer Sturridge and Turnbull. Certainly will not get a lot of people excited but very solid signings and possibilities for much bigger things later in their Chelsea playing days.... Still think there could be another Englishman comming in, maybe Johnson or possibly Ashley Young.
-
It would seem that AC Milan are determined not to sell anyone to us. It is a shame to miss out on kaka and Pirlo, but at least there will be no chance of us signing Seedorf or Pirlo either... It looks like our big name signing will come from elsewhere...... Aguero, Ribery or Villa......
-
I just can't see us signing either Ribery or Villa to be honest. More just a feeling than anything else but i just can't see us either of them comming.

Can't see Bosingwa leaving at all to be honest. If we do sign a right back it will be so they can be in direct competition with Bosingwa. I have no idea how serious our interest in Johnson is, but i would not mind him back at all to be honest. It has been obvious, that we are looking at English talent for obvious reasons (Sturridge, Young, Johnson ect..) so the roumers could be true but who knows.
