  1. considering the fact that juve are demanding 100mil for pogba, nothing is steep.
  2. so courtois saved us in 10 off those 11 instances? thats strange. but since the numbers are good enough, i will go for it. united game - we were totally in charge. we had the game by the scruff of its neck only for iva to fuck it up. city game - if you think, chelsea getting dominated by a man down city is mikel's fault, then i have nothing to say to u. who is this DM exactly that we are talking about?
  3. thats weird sporting - 15min cameo - 0-1 win everton - 10min cameo - 3-6 win (it was 3-5 when he came on) burnley - 10min cameo - 1-3 (1-3 when he came on) city - 27min - 1-1 (0-0 when he came on) villa - 13min - 3-0 arsenal - 21 min - 2-0 manu - 23min - 1-1 (1-0 when he came on) spurs - 14min - 3-0 whu - 10min - 2-0 villa - 17min - 1-2 win (1-2 when he came on) palace - 45min - 1-0 all in all, there were 2 matches where we conceded after mikel was brought on. city match, a mistake by schurrle, united match iva got a red and a goal from set piece. infact we dint lose a single match and drew just once (since the score was 0-0 in the city match when he got subbed in) so........
  4. GK is not like any other outfield position where an injured/suspended matic can be replaced by a 20 year old CB in zouma. a CL-winning aspiring team needs a proper backup GK even if he is a bit expensive. real madrid have a second GK - keylor navas who cost them 10mil euros. barcelona have a second GK - stegen/bravo (depending on your choice), both of whom were 12 mil euros. ATM have 2 GKs who cost them a 19mil euros in total. begovic gives us that safety of having an HG 2nd GK who while not being a match winner, wont be a match loser (aka green).
  5. we sold our "backup" for 10/11 mil. we are just reinvesting a portion of that money.
  6. the amount of faith jose is putting into oscar is INSANE... the fact that we are not buying anymore AMs shows that jose actually believes that oscar would have a hazard-like season this time around. for the sake of chelsea, jose and everyone involved, i hope oscar repays our manager's faith.if oscar has a season like last one and we can find ourselves in a bit of a sticky situation (city WILL be better). we dont have a good or rather a very questionable AM in cuardrado as the only replacement. our midfield options dont seem to fill me with a lot of confidence. all in all, oscar has to be good enough as a new marquee signing. fingers crossed and hoping for the best!!!
  7. so you just compared a nobody from shakhtar to one of the best players of the team that was CL finalists and la liga winners an year ago. fair enough, right? also, lets see barca's "targets" in the past 2-3 years. suarez - a nobody rakitic - a nobody turan - a nobody neymar - a nobody. again you can argue with vermalean, but it just seems barca that barca are a team which sets its sights on very very high transfer targets for its midfield and attack. and with turan, they have got a QUALITY player.
  8. reus looks like staying at bvb. pogba is not worth 80mil pounds. i am sorry but just not worth it. sterling for 50mil pounds. maybe, but i will search around everywhere before throwing that kind of money at a 20 year old.
  9. while we are getting sterling, lets buy reus and pogba too. cause well, they are all soooo plausible. anyways, what am i saying, lets get shaqiri instead, the player who is being bought by stoke city rather than a player being bought buy barcelona..
  10. how old was malouda when he was one of our best (if not the best) player in 09-10. oh that's right, 31. playing too much FIFA, are we? our captain JT probably had the best season at 34. but yes, sterling. a 20 year old, who had an average season last year, is bought for 50mil pounds (70mil euros), no pressure kid. i am sure, there would be no media pressure, none at all. but keep that aside. we have hazard who is 24, oscar 23, willian and costa 26. pretty much set for atleast 3-4 more years, we have some brilliant academy products in boga, musonda, bamford, solanke and brown. so, obviously a 20 year old for double his price should be our no.1 priority, not a tried and tested player of 28 years old. hmmm.. interesting.
  11. correction. turan would be no improvement to barca's starting 11, turan would be a MASSIVE improvement for our starting 11. yes, surely, we will get one of gotze - just cos his agent said that bayern should support him more. reus - when was the last rumor? vidal - so he will reject RM. juve will reject 30mil euros along with a one year loan for casemiro and lucas silva, for chelsea... hmmm.. sterling - 50mil pounds for a player who is not even better than turan, interesting. draxler - LOL. i thought we bought him 2 years ago. but its already, you can keep doing what you have been doing so far. also, YOU might not like him, you might even despise him, but unfortunately (for you), that does not make him "as bad as cuadrado". i despise suarez but can be objective enough to see what a player he is.
  12. i did understand your post, the part i did not understand was how someone cant understand that we have possibly lost a great oppurtunity to get a massive upgrade over any of our current players for the RW. the fact that barcelona, the CL champions, Liga champions think he is worth spending 41 million euros on, should be an indication of his quality. yet somehow, you think nothing that "nothing can be as bad as cuadrado or 'the bearded guy'". i can understand people not wanting him cos he is 28 or not wanting him cos he would cost almost 30, but thinking that turan is a "bad" player, is got to be worth a LOL. hence the statement or general wondering if you were nothing but a troll. either thaat, or maybe the fact that you have never seen turan play.
  13. ^is this guy a troll or what? i mean seriously, WTF!!! honestly, i would risk and overpay for bastian.
  14. in winter. dont think its even possible now.
  15. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-united-transfer-rumours-ramos-9601605 maria for robben AND muller... hahahahahahahhahahahahhahah...
  16. hahaha.. i just read about it.. hope the other guy wins and wants to sign pogba.. ATM would already have earned 3.5mil on arda. hopefully then they lower their asking price.
  17. barca can sell turan back to ATM for 30.6mil euros until 20th july... i mean WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!!!
  18. jose used mvg as a DM in 13-14 pre-season as well as the couple of matches he played. also, even bastian/vidal are not really DMs.
  19. what is this obsession with song, i will never get it!!! the guy has been shit for the last 2-3 years. just watch how poor he was for barca. he continously loses his defensive focus. mikel is still here. he got 1400 minutes last season. zouma can "do the job" for the last 5 minutes, but mikel would be a good 15-20 minute sub -cameo appearance where we can control the game as per our liking. i dont expect that off zouma and infact, no one should. he is a 20 year old CB and should be played as one. moreover, we have like 6 senior defenders, zouma will and should get plenty of oppurtunities to play as a CB. i did say, unless there was a massive upgrade and included the 2 names who would be those massive upgrades (vidal and bastian), then it would make sense to sell mikel. buying someone like song, i am sorry, but it makes no sense to me. i would be much happier having mvg be that backup to matic.
  20. fair enough about the difference in squad. hope we dont go the same way though. lets see how things develop. would love TIGER here.
  21. if the critisizing is only because of the "social trend" or whatever, then is not the over-hyping too? i was made to believe that higuain, el papito (or some shit) is a world class striker ( ). just a few days ago napoli even put a 94mil euros (was it millions or maybe billions) price tag on him. apparently, he is good enough to play ahead of carlos tevez. the guy has a history of choking. just this year, he has had 5 or 6 instances. and its not a one-off or just one bad year. anyone remember the RM vs BVB game where RM had a 4-1 deficit. it could have been 3-0/2-0 within 10 mins of the second leg if he had simply taken his chances. and there are a 100 other instances. when the game's on the line, the winners always want the ball, this guy on the contrary is a pussy. cant believe people had actually wanted him during the torres years. just shows how desperate we were at that point of time. dont get me wrong, this guy will get you goals. if we had bought him instead of costa, he would have got 20 goals too. but he would not have won us anything. he is someone like torres, scores in bulk. he will score a hattrick against qpr or noorsdjaeland and then do NOTHING for the next 5 games. and thats how you win trophies.
  22. i would rather have big vic than him. hardly any difference specially since they will be playing for a few minutes here and there. also, right now salah seems to be in demand and teams are actually looking to pay 20mil euros for him. 6 months on the bench and performances like against strawberry last season would simply lesser his value. let him go, keep big vic, who has shown what he can do in cup games and whenever asked to play.
  23. thank you. its so weird that people blame iva and GC when it clearly is JT around whom the team tactics are built. azpi plays as a very defensive LB to cover for JT, which means iva is tactically used to provide us the width on the right. whats even more weird is that people actually doubt iva's defensive prowess. also, GC has had to cover for iva which has exposed his already vulnerable defense. but, its a system that works. is it full proof - NO. does it have some chinks in its armour - HELL YES. but it works. if we actually want to change the way we play, then the first player to be dropped will be JT (who was probably PL's best defender last season).
