do u expect everton to be losing to wba after 60 mins? lukaku is playing good because he is been anle to run at the defenders instead of trying to break down a defense. against pool wba was 1-0 with a man up and today they were 0-0 against a very desperate tottenham team. so for lukaku's sake i would want him to start against everton. also he has deserved it.

great performance. infact one of the best all round performances i have seen from chelsea in a long long time. i mean we playing against a good team who had just beaten tottenham. the defense for once looked real good, whereas the attack linked up awesome. hazard, bertrand,mata and mikel were simply great. immense. but my motm was torres. he was ball hungry for once. put himself on the line. and a great goal. ps- those people who were after ivanovic for his defense in the first 2 matches and thought he was simply not good enough or had lost his touch, they should go ahead and get a brain transpant.

the only thing stopping lukaku from playing as good for us is his comparision with drogba. he seems to be some1 who likes running at defenders and not just be a targetman. the sooner we understand, it would be great for us. btw he is doing great...

y would we wanna sign him now? our future is quite secure with sturridge n lukaku and i feel they deserve their chances rather than buying hulk for 40mil. that would be totally foolish.

i heard this is a done deal. porto reduced their expectations greatly and we bought him for 12mil. also i have heard that roman is not happy with hazard's performance in the first 2 matches and is considering loaning him or simply ending his contract. well, i read that this is a free forum and we can post anything we want so i just went with the flow.

no i was not. we had 2 men in the midfield- lamps and mikel and mikel is no help in possession. so except for the 10-15 mins towards the end of the 1st half where we kept losing possession, inthe whole match it was lamps who got our attack started. moreover he was literally outnumbered 2 to1 or 3 to1 in mid with the reading plan being to press both lamps and mikel, so both hazard n mata found themselves in some space.

precisely. but the focus is going to shift towards hazard in some time so it will be interesting to see if he can play the 2nd fiddle as mata is doing right now. but really positivge signs from hazard, could have gone for the goal but instead passed to iva , shows real character. hope he stays the same way.

he was really good and hazard is benefitting a lot as mata pulls off defenders with him. it will be interesting to watch the opposite happen after say 5-10 matches when hazard would seem to be the no.1.

good cech made a mistake because i was thinking he might be god himself. jokes apart it was just a error in judgement and most importantly no one was more furios ovet it than cech himself, so noothing to worry about. plus its good he made a mistake now, as he would be out to prove a point against newcastle and he has to be at his best when playing those dembas

so many things to discuss, dont know where to start. 1. first things first, if this was 2010-11 or 2011-12, we would definitely have dropped points, so kudos on that. 2. hazard is phenomenal. his movement is great, his skills are awesome but i feel he has got some discipline problem. he was supposed to be the lw throughout the match but in the 1st half he drifted so much and in the end it cost ashley cole as he had to commit himself which gave time for the thr cross for the 1st reading goal. this happened in the 1st match too when iva was left without cover on a number of occasions. 3. i love mata but hate it that he is playing the 2nd fiddle to hazard. hazard's pace and skills are better but mata's vision and experience put him higher. so i dint like it that mata everytime gave the ball to hazard to initiate an attack. the idea should be to feed off each other which would make them a way more dangerous pair. 4. oscar sucked. it was his first real test coming on when the team was a goal down in their first match at home of the season, so the pressure must have been great but he was absolutely awful. clueless would be the most appropriate word to describe his performance. 5. torres was good despite what the media and people would have u believe. some of his turns and nut-megging were fabulous but it was again in front of the goal that he chokes(?). but happy that he got a lucky goal,hope it spells a big change of luck for him. 6. ramires was poor. should have passed the ball to torres and got chelsea a goal up in 7th minute itself. inspite of that his performance was way below par but just hope it was just one of his bad days and he has got it out of his system. 7.jt,cahill and iva were their usual self with none of them to be blamed much for the goals. 8. mikel had his moments both ways. as far as i can remember, he took 2 runs which were really good but apart from that he dint have any value addition when we were in possession. we were far more dangerous without him and i would like to see how we fare a whole match without him and we do have essien (who had a more than decent pre-season) and romeu and meireles on bench. 9.lamps was immense for me. he was everywhere and most importantly kept it simple in passing and posed a real threat with his movement in final third (those traditional late lampard runs to pull off a defender, even though none of the last 3 goals had his contribution). but according to me he had a wonderful game. 10. cech made a mistake. no problem. now he ll be even more cautious against dembas.

would u be happy if we would just win the community shield, super cup and club world cup but nothin in the normal 4(fa, carling, uefa, epl). i would not. if u ask me i would prioritise any epl match over the super cup.

i would guess that mata himself would have told rdm if he dint feel upto mark or rdm would have given mata rest if he thought mata wasnt upto his usual standard. plus after 25th he can take 20 days off till qpr match(no need to play against madrid). but our best player should be on the pitch for as long as he can.
