  1. so would i if i was there because that is the right thing to do. and moreover anythin for chelsea before a start of a physically testing match. but.......................... i simply dont wanna start all over again. i support cfc not tfc and just hope every1 here does the same.
  2. not world peace but with what i ve heard he had a huge role in stopping a civil war in ivory coast. so if u cant respect the player atleast respect the person because believe me most of the people do. even those who hate drogba for scpring n number of goals against them.
  3. we ll talk in jan dude. lets see what the management does then. and by the way dd got the time because every chance he got he wanted to prove himself unlike torres. wen a player does not give his 100% then the fans simply wont get behind him and that is what is happenin. no one complained wen he dint score a goal last year during some time period wen torres was actually trying. he is not doin so now. he is our lone striker and much much much more was expected off him but all he has done is that he is going thru the motions. every fan here expected something special from him and rightfully so. but seeing what we are actually getting the greivances are pretty justified. as for the knee jerk reaction, do know the meaning of it. 2 years is no knee jerk.
  4. check the no. of minutes both torres n drogba started last year. so we did bench the legend and what do u expect people to say wen match after match all we see is a zombie in a blue shirt walking in the opposition half.
  5. no we are talkin about the DD who scored more than 30 goals in 2009-10 to make us win the double. we are talking about the DD who won us the CL. and also about the same DD whose dives and rolling around cost barca 6 minutes in the home leg against than in the home leg. what has torres done for this club. bloody 50mil flop. and please dont tell him he does not dive. the only thing he is looking to do is fall down when he gets the ball.
  6. again the comparision with DD?? dude DD has character, and fight and passion and he wanted to BE a chelsea legend. as far as torres is concerned i dont think he even cares about the club. its been close to almost 2 years now. we have tried everythin for this guy. made him play on the wing(dint work), benched drogba for him(dint work), brought players to support his kinda play(is not working). i would hate to see 2 of the best young talents in the world failing because we just could not let go of nando in the hope that he would deliver something for us.
  7. u seriously think he's gonna last 6 years here???
  8. what??? please dude, torres cant do 20% of what DD has already done for us. even comparing him to the legend should be considered BLASPHEMY.
  9. these stats are baffling even when i know that danny has not played at all and when he did it was 2-2 or 1-2 against reading and he made an immediate impact. we realy need to stop kidding ourselves with the torres situation.
  10. i dont see y not. anythin will be better than the "true no.9" that we have.
  11. i live in an institute having 17 hostels. the no. of chelsea fans are very few. arsenal n pool "fans" outnumber us easily. the same thing in my hometown. but i feel it also depends on when u start watchin football. if u do it right now u r bound to be city, united or chelsea, 8-9 years ago pool or arsenal....
  12. while all the time i was posting bout buyin cavani/falcao, i remembered a 6 foot 3 giant of a guy who was tipped to be world class and in a short period of time that he has been given to play, he has proved that he is quite good. RECALL LUKAKU
  13. nope. the difference is that iva n rambo have shown that they want to BE important for chelsea. generally their fight, workrate , passion n zeal is more than commendable and it is through these things that they have won our hearts n all the time n patience. where as torres is concerned he has shown absolutely nothing of the kind.
  14. well said. he keeps making the same mistake and i wont for a second believe that rdm has not had a talk with torres about this. but he simply does not change. just have that feeling that even our board's patience with him might come to an abrupt end if we dont perform well till jan. i can see us selling him and putting up an extravagant bid for falcao/cavani.
  15. i dont think so. if u were to actually rate clubs on no. of fans then no doubt u would get this stats according to me: 1.united 2.barca 3.arsenal 4.pool 5. madrid 6. chelsea so on and forth.
  16. not very good i would say. majority are united , arsenal fans. whereever u go there is no shortage of glory hunters so barca, united take the cake there. but the true fans i ve seen all around the cricket in the bare minimum football/sports pubs we have here, its mostly united n arsenal. but football's popularity in general is increasing day by day and that means increase in number of fans.
  17. some people here keep remarking that he scores when he gets "service". is a striker's role only to score when he gets "service". what are we supposed to do? the guy has no work rate and only does bare minimum and people say he is making the appropriate runs (bullshit). and when he gets the ball, every bloody person in the world knows whats gonna happen. i even feel some of even our players stop attacking to get into their defensive duties because even they know the bloody result of giving torres the ball. the worst part is yet to come. HE IS NO THREAT. while watchin a match with many of my buddies (manu, barca and pool fans), they simply started laughin when torres gets the ball in a normally dangerous situation, knowin that until this guy is involved nothin is gonna happen. i would very much danny instead of the zombie in blue dress.
  18. a very easy solution to every problem related to torres. SELL HIM FOR WHATEVER AMOUNT ANY CLUB WOULD PAY AND THEN BUY EITHER FALCAO/CAVANI.
  19. i wanna see this line up please cech iva cahill luiz cole romeu mikel oscar mata hazard sturridge(if fit)/moses i would choose iva over cesar for the physicality n aerial challenge of stoke. same reason of mikel. if we play torres against these guys it will be another day of playing 10 vs 11 with a ref and a zombie in blue on the pitch. if sturridge is fit he deserves a start otherwise i have heard moses can play as a CF so that is good enough for me. i definitely predict a chelsea win as we played really good football with the only problem being defensively and i dont expect even some1 like mikel to make 3 defensive errors in 3 fucking matches (qpr- zamora, and juve).
  20. moses is good enough in defending and tracking back plus hazard always drifts to the left so let him start there itself. as i see it while defending we can easily change to 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 (moses n hazard falling back on the wings). plus i feel this team would be way more hungrier than the team we are gonna play so that will compensate a little for the inexperience.
  21. cech avpili cahill luiz cole romeu oscar moses mata hazard sturridge is what i wanna see. but we all know what we are gonna get, right?
  22. i live in a hostel where we got a common room with a tv. football is normally not an extremely popular sport here but that night (u guessed it right, barca v chelsea), their would have been about a 100 people in a room of 50. i being one of the only 3 chelsea fans in the hostel was sitting right in front and was getting pounded n taunted n jeered hard by "barca fans" (had never seen them before). 2-0 down, jt sent off , it dint look good. then came one of the best moments of my life. ramires out of nowhere scored that brilliant gem of a goal. i was shouting and jumping around like mad, stamping on people and then i tore my chelsea jersey right thru the center. believe me i still have it as i feel its my lucky jersey and had it sewn back. also wen torres scored in the extra time it was fantastic as every anti barca (a lot of united fans) participated in the celebration but the rami goal was something different. another of my mad celebration was DD's goal against tottenham, wigan(2010 last match of the season) when i really wanted DD to get the golden boot. but nothin compares to rami goal.
  23. Thoughts on the match. 1. Torres: Not everything revolves around you, Nando. Storming off the pitch as 28 year old is unacceptable. You cannot do that, I don't care if you're John Terry or Islam Feruz, you don't storm off the pitch. You're a great player, but just because times aren't the best or tactics aren't fitting you that doesn't mean going straight to the locker room is acceptable. You made some great runs and had a few goes, but you were below par. You should be benched for the next game due to this action. 2. Moses - Our best RW at the moment. Played for 20-30 minutes or so and was sensational. Never made a mistake and was very crisp with his touches and movement. Released a great shot that was saved by Cesar and a wonderful cross to Hazard, who blasted it over. Moses is a great signing and has shown that he deserves a spot in the team. 3. Ramires: Not a RW, he's a midfielder and his stats showed that he is one. He played as a RW a few times last year and was impressive, but he is still not a RW like Moses or Sturridge. We must play him in a more central position. 4. John Terry and Cole: Good performances from our Captain and Left back. Showed that no matter what they're dealing with off the field, they bring their best game on the field. Praise for these men should be at a high. 5. RDM: Too defensively minded and too narrow. Poor lineup as Moses was left out.Sturridge should have been brought in earlier. 6. Lampard and Mikel pairing: Horrendous pair, it was like "watching a tragedy movie for 90 mins" (quote from Twitter) and the user is right. They are not the pair we should use. They both either attack together or defend together. One should sit back while one attacks, always. Romeu-Lamps, Meireles-Lamps, Oscar-Lamps, Essien-Lamps would be great pairings, but 2 of those can't be achieved. Need a better pair there. 7. Sturridge: Danny deserves a spot in the XI or at least more playing time. He was much better than Torres, today and played in his natural CF position. He certainly can perform as a winger, too. 8. Bertrand: Strictly a left back, RDM's obsession with making him a LW is a poor one and he should keep Ryan as a back-up to Cole. 9. David Luiz: Calmer than ever and playing great in the back, but Gary Cahill is still the better of the two and has a better relationship with JT. Cahill and JT work perfectly together and both know their place. Luiz is calm, but still makes those mistakes that cost us. 10. Romeu and Oscar: Should get more playing time. They both are eager to play and are full of skill and talent. Failing to play them is a bad way to do things at the Bridge. Both are composed and mellow with the ball. They don't make many errors and could replace Mikel.
