Why can't we buy a new CM? seems very possible and probable that we might be buying one.Also no one here is denying lamps quality. Infact tuesday was a perfect reminder of it. But jose has already shown that he would prefer the solidity of rambo-matic pivot away from home rather than lamps' on the ball class. Lamps' playing time has reduced significantly since matic joined , add to that a fit mvg and/or a new cm, I simply don't see hime starting anywhere close to 25 games. Also, lets noy get ahead of ourselves by calling him our best CM. he was average at best for the first half of the season. Seemed like the games literally passed him by (city at bridge). If this was our best then its even more reason why we should be buying a new CM in the window.

I am so bored with reading that we would sell lukaku!!! I mean why would we sell a 20 year old striker who has a better record than the 3 strikers we have currently (a 33-40 year old etoo, 30 year old torres and 29 year old ba). We are anyways looking to buy a striker but we ll sell someone who has the potential to be world-class. Just fuck logic. I don't want us to buy another "potentially" good CM. We have mvg who checks out all the requirements in that area. Rabiot/torres won't improve us. Not in my opinion.

In an ideal world that would be so but the point becomes what will be lamps role in the squad next season?Matic, rambo, mvg, and a new CM will already be ahead of him in the pecking order. Just don't think its the perfect scenario of having a 5th CM at 5mil £ and on the bench. The only scenario where i see lamps having a significant role to play next season would be if we don't buy a CM which simply does not improve our pivot one bit.

With the 3rd goalie spot, JT, GC, hopefully shaw, plus the likes of atleast 2 more defenders (zouma +ake/kalas) and lukaku we very well make up for the homegrown spot.Plus as much as I personally like moses as a squad player, his ceiling is not that high. I would prefer someone from our youth (piazon/traore) who do have a future with us, to be given that 6th am spot.

A walk In the park. One of the easiest games we have played in a long time. Well that is what an early goal can do. Sets the tone for the match and gives you the oppurtunity to run it on your desired course. The players were really up for it. We were barely troubled by anything and gala's only decent chance came in the 90th minute. Cahill-jt were a beast. Handled everything perfectly that came into the box. Nullified DD completely. Iva was great. One of his best performances this season. Solid at the back and his cross-field passes to EH17 (3 of them to be precise) were a delight to watch. Azpi- put in his usual MOTM or 2nd to MOTM performance. Simply said, this guy deserves to be our POTY. lamps- where did this come from. I was dreading a rambo-lamps pivot but he put in a brilliant perfirmance. It helped that gala let our pivot players have all the time and space in the world while trying to press our defnece and beinf wary of the 3 behind the strikers. Nonetheless, a brilliant performance. Should have scored one but simply could not put his leg thru it. Rambo- poor. The first touch let him down so many times. He really is out of form. Oscar and willian- good game. Pressed the gala players high up and even won the ball plenty of tines only to screw it up in the last 3rd. Willian tries to do the EH17 thing where he slows down compketely abd then bursts thru but fails almost everytime. Oscar dwells too long on the ball. I don't believe for one second that it is fatigue that is responsible. Just plain old confidence. I have no doubt he will be back to his best soon. EH17- shoot damn it. I have been shouting off rooftops. I have literally been saying in evry post match thread that EH17 needs to get more selfish. He should be shooting after having players go om their haunches rather than passing the ball to torres. (Who has now destroyed 2 of EH's brillaint moments).I don't think his positioning in counters is bad generally. I feel today he was told to conserve his energy. He really dint take much part in the 2nd half counters and barely got out of the 2nd gear. I would say justified considerinf who we are playing on saturday.

Yes for real. The league is the priority for now. Has to be. Our only REAL chance of silverware this season. We might win both matches, I am not saying we can't. But if the option was to choose one of the matches, I would taje the arsenal match win over this match.

I disagree. It would be a "decent" deal to get 9mil for a 23 year old moses. Even a 2 season flop in downing (29year old) was sold for 6mil. Our board will do a bad job to not to get some profit on moses.

Well, to start with they DID play well together for benfica.Secondly, we don't have DMs in our squad. Mikel is lower than luiz in jose's list. And both of them might not be here next season. Lamps was average at best in the withdrawn role in the earlier part of the season and again, even he might not be here next season. Matic definitely lacks the physicality of playing 50 matches a season which he very well might need to if he is our only DM next time around. Witsel's passing should even be questioned. Only thing would be his speed to our style of play. But given the definite lack of quality cms AVAILABLE at this moment, witsel would still be second in the list after kroos.
