So iva dint provide width? That has to be the understatement of the year. Also, you need defensive stability to provide as a perfect base to any team. We sold one of the best mobile ball playing center backs in the last window, we have a very good left back on the bench who provides width but has been very average defensively. Our problem today was NOT that our fullbacks dint provide thw width, it was the fact that hazard and willian dint providw the width. Fullbacks are good in an attack when used on the overlap rather than being the primary target out wide. But forget all of this. Clearly I have no clue and whatsmore, jose is as clueless in your books since he has willingly chosen GC over DL and azpi over luis.

you are right in one thing, we will lose when we take our eye off the ball. and hence why i feel this wont be the match in which that happens. this has to be a match where the players feel up for it and would want to take revenge for the last season. just cant see us failing in this match.

You definiyely dint read what people wrote about him after the schalke game. There was nothing constructive in that criticism AT ALL. Saying things like - DD is here simply cos of his relationship with Jose is totally asenine specially when jose sold the backbone of his former chelsea team - lamps. DD was here as a squad player and a presence in the dressing room. A personality to have who can talk to the hazards and oscars of the team. Doubting jose and DD's intentions towards the club is probably the worst slight anyone can ever say. He needed time to adapt, to regain his fitness.

And the quality of football was so amazing that I really dint want to switch the channels to bayern vs city despite knowing the result of this game. Perfect eye candy football. Iva was amazing and that volley deserved a goal. Willian was brilliant. Cesc, oscar, hazard were theie usual selves and the one touch passing between them was a delight. Rambo and DD played their part in the performance. But for me, MATIC was somethinf else today. The way he dominated the schalke mid was unbelievable. The tackles he won, the interceptions. Just amazing. Next is sunderland away. A tricky one (not going on form but in a general sense). Hope we can continue this performance.

now with reus out of the picture, dont think we would do anything in the winter window.

He is definitely injury prone. That's not even on doubt here. Oir best chance to buy reus was in winter. Real would have to sell isco/jese to buy him which is very improbable in winter. But the summer transfee window is a completely different animal. Real madrid sold alonso and maria to fund kroos and james. Don't think they would have any problem in selling one player to buy another new shiny toy that they don't need. Also in the winter, bayern was out of consideration as bvb would not have sold them reus. But when we are talking about a BO clause, bvb will be helpless and it woild all fall on reus. I simply don't think that we have the pull to buy reus when going against these 2.

dont think we will take a risk of a pre-transfer contract on an injured player, even if he is world class. and if it gets to next summer, and we get in a proper fistfight with bayern and barca and real for his transfer, i dont think we will get him.
