Sky dont have rights to FA Cup games
-
no handshakes- the whole of the media are in tears

WTF why is Bertrand on the bench? We have a midweek game too! he often plays championship standard teams like QPR so whats the problem?
-
Good luck Bluelion being forever the optimist I see
-
whats better: La Liga or PL?
-
HAHAHAHAHA QPR still have 2000 tickets left in the home area, most of which have been purchased by Chelsea fans
-
I'd put out a fairly strong lineup because QPR can be a bit unpredictable and it would be good to give them a thrashing. Cech Ivanovic Cahill Terry Bertrand Ramires Romeu Essien Malouda Lukaku Sturridge Cech-picks itself Ivanovic-I don't think I can take Bosingwa any longer and they may choose to target Bosi again Cahill- Scored a screamer at Loftus Road for Bolton. Luiz may like Bosingwa be targeted by the rats Terry- Can deal with this easily Bertrand- He is used to playing against Championship standard teams. Ashley Cole needs a rest Ramires- One of our best players this season. Romeu- Solid as a holding midfielder Essien- The Bison looks like he could be coming back. Would be good to give him a start. Malouda- Juan Mata needs a rest. The team is too over-reliant on him and need to learn to play without him. Lukaku- Torres does not deserve to start after last week. Lukaku looked good against Norwich though. Sturridge- If Kalou was here I would have picked him but we are stuck with Mr Arrogant for this one. I appreciate what he adds to the team but he needs to sort out his cocky attitude Subs: Hilario Hutchinson Meireles Torres David Luiz Lalkovic Mata (avoid using him though because he needs a rest)

And I was less inspired against Newcastle at home last season when they had a corner in the last minute and he refused to come back and defend. Instead he stood arguing with Drogba, standing like a sulking 6 year old in the centre circle. What next? An unmarked Steven Taylor grabs a 92nd minute equaliser.

playaaaaaaaaaaaaa Congratulations on the baby by the way WHS

I am getting worried about him. It seems like since arriving and settling at Chelsea, being surrounded by a team devoid of any creativity whatsoever has meant that his creativity has started to drain out as well. He looked a bit like Malouda mark II today which could be because we have become over reliant on him and so he needs a rest or because he is being forced to do the work of 3 players to create anything and has started to copy his team mates more and more in just playing dull football. It is vital that we keep him the player that he is because it is a monumental waste of a talent if he becomes another one of our useless wingers.

I never said you would I was simply pointing something out.
-
Well that was 12 hours of my life and £50 down the drain...
-
Was that not what everyone was saying when Abramovich arrived at Chelsea and we won our first league though? People were saying that Mourinho would stay for years and we would develop some big phat empire to rival Man U and become the biggest force in world football and buy whoever we wanted
-
Middlesborough: Its an absolute shithole of a town, wouldn't fancy a trip up their on a freezing cold January evening Still, could be worse, could be stuck in an enlarged shoebox called Loftus Road
-
it doesn't benefit the 72 clubs in the Football league. It is arrogant to think that because we are a top club in the Premier League we and other big clubs can just dictate what goes on in divisions below ours. Its not fair on your average joe who supports his local club such as Bristol Rovers that he has to put up with seeing his clubs heroes having to play against a bunch of kids It is insulting to lower league players. Correct.
-
It isn't fair on the smaller clubs in the football league who are just doing an honest job and have worked their way up through the football league ladder if Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal, City etc etc. just suddenly barge in and think that they can just ruin the whole league structure just for their own benefit. What good does having to play extra games (on top of the 46 which FL clubs already play) have on clubs in the football league? If I were a 27 year old football player in the Championship or League 1 or League 2 I would find it quite insulting that bigger clubs think that they can just play their kids against us solely for their own benefit. If this idea is ever going to work then all of the leagues would need to be restructured, which would mean extra clubs in the Premier League and/or extra clubs being relegated from their divisions just so that the big boys can develop their team.

Chelsea and QPR....a real rivalry ?

maybe. qpr fans can be quite nasty -
Meh its what Barcelona do all the time. They scout players from all over Catalonia which is far bigger than Greater London which is where our scouting network is mainly based. Some Barca players leave their parents at 16 and live at La Masia so we are hardly depriving them of a childhood like at Barcelona. Except what Barcelona do is teach the young players a distinct brand of football and only loan them out to clubs in the Catalonian region with which they have special links. We on the other hand will probably ship this lot over to Vitesse Arnhem ASAP where they will play 3 times and then rot in our youth and reserve ranks before buggering off back to Luton or a League 2 club. Gourlay won't care though because its all £££££ for the club.

To be honest I think there is a bit of a rivalry but the QPR fans blow things way out of proportion. Our London rivals are Tottenham and yes we want to beat QPR when we play them but not as much as they want to beat us. About 25 years back this was a closer derby but we have moved on since then and particularly after 2003 when Roman came we have far bigger fish to fry than QPR. Having said that, many English Chelsea fans love this due to our proximity to Loftus Road and I would not walk around Shepherds Bush with a Chelsea shirt on -
Well done to them for showing some initiative and hopefully getting the ball rolling with regard to safe standing in England Looks OK but I'm a bit concerned that for games when they do have to be used as seats (UEFA matches) you might have a railing blocking your view
-
Norwich gave us some big problems at times in the reverse fixture. This is by no means an easy game, particularly with our record in 12:45 kick offs as well

They are 2 clubs who should really be playing in the Championship. For us it is just another game but for QPR and Fulham any game against us is like their cup final -
Very close between Ramires and Torres for me. Ramires was once again at the centre of everything positive in our play and Torres was outstanding

Neymar is the very definition of arrogance.
