  1. meh just like a few people in Cornwall in South West England. A few of them speak a slightly different language (about 1 in 10 people in Catalonia speak Catalan) and they think they are a separate country
  2. They currently have as many members on their entire site as we do looking at this topic
  3. Its a cartoon. Its clearly a joke. They are overreacting horribly. And look at them now threatening to report to the hosting company what is wrong with them!? Its clearly a joke. I don't hate Barcelona as a club it is just their arrogant, over-sensitive players and fans which irritate me. I am sure there are some or many which are perfectly reasonable but the vast majority that I have come across just appear so up their own arses that it is hard to take them seriously.
  4. I hope we lose the first leg and win the second. Winning in their shithole would make it even sweeter. Also, if we lose the first leg controversially then yet more people will turn on the biggest scandal in football and we will have everyone except the Barca gloryhunters cheering us on. Busquets needs a slap
  5. http://www.barcaforum.com/member.php/5665-gingerless This guy is the most bitter of the lot, saying how Di Matteo is just a rubbish version of Guardiola etc. The arrogance of Barcelona fans never ceases to amaze. I will be shouting rude things at the 'Catalans' in Spanish during the match next week
  6. now trolling under the name 'NOUCAAAAAAAMP'
  7. anyone want to go and troll it with me?
  8. Uncovered seat + pissing it down on a windy night= proper football match
  9. But he signed for Chelsea on my FIFA 12 manager mode Meh the little cunt can get fucked. Bet he drives this to training
  10. You know a game is shit when a pigeon walking around the penalty area is the highlight of the first half
  11. I voted for Bosingwa just for a laugh What would everybody's goal of the season be so far? For me it would be one of: Bosingwa v Norwich Sturridge flick v Sunderland Luiz v Bayer Leverkusen Torres v Man U Ramires v Swansea Mata v Arsenal Ramires v Wolves Mata v Man U- probably my favourite Meireles v Birmingham Meireles v Benfica
  12. Thinking about this last night. I don't think we will need to even think about a new stadium for at least another 10-15 years. We simply don't have the fanbase to draw 60 000 to a game against Wigan or Blackburn. Season tickets were more or less on general sale last year, our game against Benfica, a Champions League Quarter Final took a long time to sell out (with the stadium operating at a reduced capacity), about half of our games this season have gone on general sale. This shows that we only have about 35,000 fans within a reasonable range of Stamford Bridge who can actually be arsed to go on a regular basis. How we would just find an extra 25,000-30,000 fans in 10 years to fill up the new stadium I don't know. It takes time to build a huge fanbase like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man United, AC Milan, Arsenal etc. have. In all honesty we should not be considered in the same bracket as this lot because we cannot suddenly begin to draw fans like Real Madrid have done since the 50's, Man United since the early 90's etc. When you look back at Peter Kenyon's comments about how he wanted us to be the 'biggest club in the world in 5 years' or whatever it was you realise just how much of a deluded smug prick he really was. Of course we sell out quickly for the bigger games at home against the likes of Man U, Arsenal, Spurs but that is the case for most teams. We could sell out the stadium twice over for most of these if we had the capacity but a lot of clubs are like this. Barcelona would probably be able to sell out the 96,000 capacity Nou Camp twice over for el clasico. Unfortunately for us, we don't have a big enough fanbase at the moment to be able to draw 60 000 fans to our stadium for a game against Wolves or Wigan like Man United do. We have a lot of fans who only care about attending bigger games too, hence the need for the loyalty points system to be implemented. If Roman Abramovich wants a new stadium now then he can by all means have one. Its not me or anyone else on here spending the money, its just that for 75% of games it will probably be 1/3 empty for at least the next 20 years.
  13. seems like he is spending most of his Chelsea career teaching Spanish to primary school kids in Fulham if Chelsea magazine is anything to go by
  14. I'd take him if there were the opportunity. So far Bertrand has not convinced me that he can be our first choice left back, van Aanholt can't defend to save his life and this guy is proven in La Liga and is breaking into the Spanish first XI. He is also versatile and caused Ivanovic lots of problems during the group stages of the CL this year
  15. would just like to add that I think Oscar Cardozo is a disgusting football player. We kicked the ball out of play while in possession when one of their players was rolling around making a fuss out of nothing, they pass the ball back to Luiz from the throw in so that we can have the ball back, it hits him on the shoulder on the edge of our penalty box and Cardozo shouted at the referee wanting a free kick. Disgusting twat who does not understand fair play.
  16. Why are people slating our performance again? Benfica are a very good side who are good at keeping possession like most Iberian teams so its no wonder we were not dominating. They have some talented players, particularly Aimar who can cause most teams problems. It was just some poor finishing and slight bad luck that meant that we did not score more. Torres' deflection and Kalou's miss are examples of things just not going right on the night- not poor play. Benfica had nothing to lose in going out to attack so we were always going to be under pressure, they didn't just fluke their way into the quarter finals
  17. 2 games in 3 days plus a midweek game against Benfica means that rotation is a must. Mata has to be rested for either/or Wigan and Fulham because he is getting progressively worse with each game due to lack of rest. I'd rest Cole against Fulham or Wigan too so that he is fresh for the Spurs game on Sunday. Wigan Cech Ferreira Cahill Luiz Bertrand Romeu Essien Sturridge Meireles Malouda Torres Fulham Cech Ivanovic Terry Cahill Cole Lampard Mikel Ramires Malouda Sturridge Drogba
