I would imagine the charasmatic Di matteo will be used to conduct most post match interviews. Don't think AVB will even put himself in a position to take the bait from some twat interviewer when we have a bad result (like they used to do with Ancellotti)...
Agree to a certain extent. I think Bertrand, Kakuta, McEachean and Bruma are good enough to be in our squad. Don't think Cork or Van Aaholt is. If Cork had the ability why has no PL club shown an interest in him??.
Borini is still on our website as a player, with no mention of his move. If you go on the Parma website, they have an article with him and a picture holding the Parma flag. Seriously who maintains our offical website!!!!!!!!!
I think this could be a good appointment for us. He has been at the club awhile now and knows the setup. I like the wording of his statements and he appears an intelligent man. What I like most about the appointment is that this could give us an advantage in attracting young African talent given his nationality and if you look at alot of the kids coming through our academy now from England they are of African descent. What with the lack of black senior figures at football clubs he could be someone for these kids to look up to. Also how well did Arsensen really do in his time at the club??, how many first team players did he produce with all the investment he made??. I don't think he will do a worse job than Arnesen at the very least...
Our website is proper shite......still offically has Clement, English and O Driscoll at the club when everywhere else has reported they have gone. Also no news on who the new reserve team manager(McGivern??) will be and no news on what Emenalo's role will be.....have not even bothered to add the two new guys either...... It also has NEVER offically said if Bosingwa was given an extension to his contract which is due to expire tomorrow....
Apparently Mick Mcgiven is earmarked for a promotion as AVB likes him. Would make sense to have him as the assistant instead of Clement as the young/old combo would work better....
(this club has the highest by the way) Man City currently have the largest wage bill....the published results go back 18 months. Since then they have added alot of players and we got rid of Deco, Belletti, Cavalho, Cole and Ballack....
So had we bought Modric then everyone would have been aware that we would have had to get rid of a player to accomodate him.?? Nice one Mr Gourley, if we buy any players that are not homegrown or over 21 before we get rid of any, we will not recieve market value for the ones we sell. Good business plan.....
Your right, it was a stupid decision as he is useless and a u21 keeper would have been better for 3rd choice keeper. At present am i right in thinking we can't sign anyone over the age of 21 who is not homegrown as we have already filled the quota (17 players)??....
