  1. Ive been saying Adam for ages. Best dead ball taker in the league plus he is not fit and overweight. A proper manager will get another 10% out of him....
  2. 100% he will take the job if offered. At this time all we can do is speculate but I think Redknapp is in Romans thoughts.....
  3. How many people on here actually started supporting Chelsea AFTER Ambramovich bought the club....
  4. Why not swap them??...Would be a good solution for both....
  5. True, tactically he is crap. However, I'm not sure that being a great tactician is so important in a knock out competition (look at Capello with England). Redknapp will play a 4-5-1 style that will get the best out of Torres, but his main strength is that players always give 100% for him and like him. With our situation Roman sacks managers reguarly and Redknapp does always buy good attacking players. As our defence is sound with attacking players required I just think at the current time Redknapp is a good fit for us. Not long term no but we never seem to have a long term plan do we?
  6. They will give Hiddink time to decide but I think he will offer it to Redknapp if Hiddink rejects it. What is your main concerns with him??
  7. I think everyone knows that the job is Hiddinks if he wants it. The bookies have to reflect the odds on the amount of money being placed also. I guess there is a 25% probability at this stage he will accept it. Truth of the matter is other than Hiddink noone in the press knows Romans plans yet....
  8. He knew the deal when he signed the contract. He earned £6million a season and his reputation has not been tarnished by his Chelsea stint. Like he said he will not shed a tear over it.
  9. I was at this game in the old benches in the west stand. When Stein scored that late goal, I accidently knocked of a policemans helmet in celebration!!!!!
  10. Roman is heading the process, so expect the illogical and unexpected. He loves Hiddink so it all depends on what he wants to do. The papers are saying that should Turkey lose to Belgium on 3rd June, he will resign and take the Chelsea job. Remember though a long term manger for us is 2 seasons!!. Personally I am leaning towards Redknapp. I'd like to see what a season of attacking football would bring, with an already strong defence in place.
  11. When I starting supporting Chelsea in the mid 80's as a little kid, my first season saw us relegated to the 2nd tier of English football. If you look at the club now, I think that sums up the difference Roman has made.....
  12. The Mirror is the worst possible paper in relation to true stories out thier, so I would take it with a pinch of salt. The best indicator is to check the latest bookie odds. This morning Hiddink is 2/1, Van Basten 5/2 and Redknapp is shortened to 3/1......
  13. He'll bring attacking football and will buy good attacking players. Our defense is already sound so it will work. If Hiddink comes on board with Van Basten then ok but not on his own. His attitude is all wrong for club management, I guarantee he would fall out with Terry early and it will be a disaster. Yes he plays youth which is good but he needs Hiddink with him..
  14. He will play them both - Redknapp will build the team around Torres in a 4-5-1 formation. He is a good choice for the job plus he would take it to. Why has Van Basten been out of work for so long?, because nobody wants him. He is being linked with an ambassoder role with Sporting Lisbon. Employing him would be a big backward step....
  15. Plus to have a role on our board, you need to have lost your forskin.....
  16. Agree, but this is Chelsea we are talking about....
  17. Thats because he plays for a pub team. Imagine what a top manager would do for him..
  18. I am leaning towards Redknapp now......imagine the style we will play under him and our defense is great. he can go out and buy loads of attacking players....
  19. Ive just been raving about him on the Neymar thread. He is a great player, just what we need. His corners and freekicks are the best in the league, he has proven PL experience, is good age and would only cost 5-6 million. Plus he would be happy on 50k week and he is a fat bastard. When he gets proper match fit he will be some player.....
  20. He has argued and fallen out with nearly every estbalished player he has ever managed. Plus he could not even get Ajax in the top two in the dutch league....
  21. Van Basten is now favourite for the job on most bookie websites, this is NOT good news.....
  22. 25 I believe - good age to...surely we are a better prospect than Liverpool. He is perfect for us with his creativity...
  23. Im not sure how to start a thread on here, but does anyone agree we should sign Charlie Adam???. He is just what we need plus his corners and freekicks are the best in the league. Also he is overweight, if we get him match fit he will be great signing and would only cost about 5-6 million.....
  24. The manager that takes the job will know the deal, no trophies = no next season. It is a ridicolous way to run a club but that is Chelsea. We have become a bit of a laughing stock among other clubs, this is not championship manager but real life....... That said we would be nowhere without Roman and we just have to accept his rules, but 7 managers in 8 years that is embarrasing....
