It's weird the British press haven't lashed onto this yet, I'm guessing we'll hear something later on today. I can honestly see us announcing the Costa+Fabregas deal simultaneously.

You're always such a miserable cunt, Jesus Christ. So you want to spend £30 million more on Paul Pogba, he's a great talent but he's not worth £50-60 million, no way. Also they are completely different players, Pogba isn't a playmaker or that creative, his strengths are that he's technically good and so powerful when running with the ball, very similar to Yaya Toure, but obviously not as good just yet. £26 million for Fabregas is a fucking great deal, we was crying out for someone like Cesc and for that price i'm over the moon.

Song at Arsenal was very inconsistent, he was a defensive midfielder but had problems with his positioning. In his last season he was more of a box to box midfielder, look at how many assist he had, but honestly Cesc is miles ahead of him.

Why not sign him and send him out on loan back to Anderlecht? it's our customary thing to do tbh.

Not really, Suarez had 12 assists last season, the second highest in the PL. He also created 86 clear cut chances, Hazard was the only player who created more.

Sooner or later we'll know whether he was bought in to play the number 10 role or in the pivot (or both), if Cesc is the only midfielder we bring in than i think it's safe to presume he'll be playing in the pivot, with Luiz and Lampard gone, not to mention Mikel seems on the way out, we are pretty short in that department. The Telegraph did mention briefly that Mourinho wants Cesc and Koke/Pogba but i'm not sure how true that is. Regarding Koke he's another one who has rarely played deep in midfield, this season he's mostly played on the right of a 4-4-2, Gabi and Tiago/Suarez were the two in midfield... i'm not saying he cant play in the pivot because he has all the right attributes but who's to say Jose doesn't envision him playing higher up the pitch? After all this talking it would be hilarious if we get Paulinho...

Imagine if we still sell him after that announcement.. it'll be tragic.

He's more creative than Oscar and his passing is better, I rate Oscar but they're different players really.

I don't really buy that, Jose had the likes of Deco, Sneijder and Ozil playing major roles for his sides. We have power and pace in abundance but not enough creativity in my eyes.

Literally every time Hazard has been asked about PSG he said he wants to stay at Chelsea.

It's 75m euros so it'll only be £60 million... £10 million more than Luiz, come on he's our best player and he's not just another player you can easily replace. Next season he will be devastating imo imagine him alongside Costa, Cesc (maybe) and a proper LB helping him out offensively... if we are looking to sell him (which i don't believe is the case) we might as well keep him for now and sell him next season because his price will only increase.

It's hard to judge Fabregas at Barca, for one they play in a totally different way to us, not only that but they mostly played him as a false number 9 or pushed him up top to give Messi some space... i'm going to judge him from his time at Arsenal and i honestly think he would be perfect for us, he can play next to Matic and/or in the number 10 role. His vision and passing ability is something we've been crying out for all season, in fact not only last season but for the past few years, we now have someone who can dictate tempo and play of our games. No longer will the likes of Hazard or Oscar be forced to come deep to receive the ball...
