United in the next 10 years will be able to spend big, in the last 10 years or so Ferguson didn't want to overspend on players, that's why he missed out on the likes of Hazard, Sneijder, Sanchez, Benzema, Essien, etc, in the next few years you can count on United signing these types of players (Big talents), no longer will they miss out because they are unwilling to pay an extra 5 million or give the player high wages.

We cant buy everyone, if some people had their way we would have already signed Kroos, Pogba, Sanchez and Vidal... some reports say we are still after a midfielder so lets wait and see what happens.

All great members, but if i had to pick one, it'll be @The Skipper, a very level headed poster, has good football knowledge and i always see myself liking his posts. In the past i may have not agreed with everything he wrote regarding Mikel or Luiz but i could see where he was coming from, he doesn't force his opinion down your throat, if you will. For all those reason i have to vote for The Skipper.

I vote for @The only place to be, he doesn't intentionally try to be controversial, he just has strong opinions and backs them up with good posts. I can respect that.

I thought Carlo wanted more legs in his midfield? wasn't that why he was so desperate to buy Ramires... it just seems weird now to replace the only player at Real who has that in abundance with Kroos, don't get me wrong he's a wonderful player, but he's not known for his stamina and pace.

If Luiz was in his early twenties than you can say he's still young and will get better with experience, but he's 27 and played in some of the biggest games ever, i think he'll always be that inconsistent, error prone defender. I'm not bashing him, i was at his very first game for Chelsea, Fulham away i think, and he was amazing, he was skillful, exciting and at the time i thought he was just brilliant. He even managed to do a bicycle kick cross , everyone was saying he's the real deal, but then he gave away a penalty... at the time i thought nothing of it (especially since Cech saved it), It was only his first game in the PL, he'll learn.... how wrong was i, it's been three years since that game and he's still as inconsistent as ever.

Real and Barcelona can buy the 'best' players in the world but the PL wont suffer, it's getting stronger now than ever with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, City, United and Liverpool all spending big. The La Liga will now go back to being a two horse race. Regarding Barcelona, i'm not sure how Suarez will fit Barca's 'tiki taka' style, he loves to run and dribble at players, maybe they might change their style.

Now Arsenal have signed him, if they sign a RB (Debuchy), a defensive midfielder (Khedira) and another striker, we all have to start taking them seriously. I'm a bit Jealous but that's because I'm a bitter cunt, but this is good for the Pl. Chelsea, City, Arsenal, United and Liverpool all spending big trying to improve their squad. This will be the most competitive season in years imo.

Literally no respectable sources are reporting this, atm It looks more likely that United will sign Vidal, if that happens you can say goodbye to Chelsea getting Pogba.

It was like his career for chelsea scaled down to three weeks, First match good, after that he slowly gets worse. I understand the tactics wasn't great but the player also holds some responsibility, going forward he was dreadful.

I think after all of this we can now see how good of a defender Silva is, how many times does he cover Luiz when he runs out or forgets to mark his man.. Luiz gets the headlines because he's allowed to take risk, he's passionate and can score the odd goal but for me Silva is the real deal. It was like when we used to partner Luiz with Cahill, both defenders need a leader next to them otherwise they look lost, that's why Terry is important, he can read the game so well.

How can a CB constantly run past his midfield? literally every time he had the ball he ran forward like a mad man... not mention his poor marking for the goals, this guy has no awareness at all, possibly the worst defensive display I have ever seen at this level.

I honestly don't see this happening at all, no credible sources are reporting it.

Lambert - £4 million Lallana - £25 million Lovren - £20 million Markovic - £25 million Origi - £11 million = £85 million Markovic is talented but what I've heard he's very but inconsistent, Origi had a decent WC i thought, he seems good technically but is he ready for the PL? I'm not too sure tbh, he could be loaned back out. On paper it seems like a lot of money for those players but who knows what Rodgers has in mind.
