The last two games QPR have been very good, i know they were playing at Loftus road but they have been improving.
-
Pique was only 19-20 when playing for United, surely you cant judge him on that... It's hard to judge a defender playing in the Barcelona system, they're so vulnerable most of the time due to the lack of cover, constant high line and counter attacks. He's fast (for a cb), technically good and can pass out from the back. Luiz was always brash, inconsistent and had too many brainfarts, maybe Pique might be the same but it still remains to be seen.
-
Are you forgetting FFP? Unless the likes of United, Real and Barca buy him i'll doubt any other team will spend so much on a defender.
-
A lot of Portuguese journalist said the same, thats why i never wanted him here, especially at that price. Many people on this site raved about him though, calling him the next big thing... I know he's young and can improve, but will he ever be £32 million worth? doubt it.
-
Even last season his end product was awful... he just seems like a left footed Lennon to me. The most frustrating thing is the amount of money we spent on trying to find a quality RW, £30 million on Willian and £11 million on Salah.. not good enough.
-
Isn't Ivan suspended?
-
Slow and Sluggish, just a woeful performance.
-
Mikel is awful, seems so much slower... and the least said about Salah the better.
-
Where's Solanke?
-
So far this season he's been shocking, mistake after mistake. Overall i think he's a good ball playing defender but he's the type of player who needs a rock like JT next to him. I personally feel like we need a Vidic/Kompany type player.
-
Tbf even in the CL you get some shocking refs...
-
Should we rest him against QPR? one more yellow card and he faces suspension which means he misses the Liverpool game...
-
His hold up play was top notch, but his pace (or lack of) was a big problem, especially on the counter.
-
He was marked out of the game, Felliaini was on him every second. Crystal Palace tried it but as Jose said we had Oscar to fill in and he made a big impact, sadly Oscar was pretty poor yesterday. At times Oscar could have put Drogba through on goal but the pass wasn't there and tbh Drogba's pace wasn't either.
-
Drogba was on his last legs, Oscar wasn't having his best game and Willian was doing his usual thing, I wasn't confident that another goal was coming tbh.. We should have won the match as well, Ivan shouldn't have fouled ADM and we most definitely should have defended the FK better... oh well, a possible 23 points out of 27 isn't bad at all especially when you consider we have already played United, City and Everton away and Arsenal at home. We're now six points clear of City, so let's be a bit more positive around here.
-
What a player, he definitely was missing Costa/Remy to link up with or make runs, I love Drog and he did his best but he has no pace at all and at times was no where to be seen when we countered. I have to say though, so far this season he's stepped up in most if not all the big games, i love that he's more direct now, no more dribbling with the ball at walking pace.

He's been poor for about two seasons now, Busquets used to be the most underrated player, now he's the most overrated.
-
I'm 100 percent sure somethings wrong with Costa, I just hope it isn't serious. No way would Jose leave him out against Palace espically considering they beat us last season.
-
When would you play him then? Costa and Remy are both injured, instead of playing a young, promising striker we should instead opt for a false 9..? Pep started a 17 year old CM for five or so games when all his midfielders were injured and he was one of their best players, look at Sterling and Januzaj etc. Why is he in our squad if we're not going to play him? For all those saying Drogba should play, fair shout, but IMO he's far too slow and rusty, we're obviously going to hit them on the counter so we need pace. Also have to say, i'm loving all the Sarcastic/Condescending replies...
-
Who would you start?
-
If Remy and Costa are both injured i would personally go with Solanke, none of this false 9 BS.
-
Fucking Spain playing him twice against shit teams, next time we should tell them to fuck off...
-
You can tell Luis used to be a winger, fantastic technically. I'm also very impressed with his constant pressing, Azpi does it as well but Luis was on another level with it. I have no worries about his defending, the palace game was a one off.
