  1. Why would the highlighted part be a dark cloud exactly?
  2. Luiz and Cahill as a partnership does not work, it has almost always ended badly against any half decent team Munich the exception to the rule. A new centre half has to be high priority this summer, these two should never play together again.
  3. Personally i think we should adopt similar rules to cricket in this regard, every match both teams get two reviews each (as in the manager has the option to stop the game and attempt to get a decision overruled twice).
  4. It all depends on the progress we are making as to whether Roman keeps him on and as far as that's concerned so far so good. I think he is the right man for the job. If we finish 3rd, go out of the Champions League kicking and screaming and make clear progression in our style (ie positive signs for the future) then Robbie is staying even if Guardiola whores himself to Roman. Scolari, AVB and Carlo were sacked because of performances more than they were results, especially the latter.
  5. Last time United won a league game at Stamford Bridge was my 11th Birthday. The Monaco disaster was on my Birthday too
  6. @Ollie, Were have to agree to disagree mate, Luiz imo has a much higer ceiling than Gary.
  7. Doesn't matter what the final score ends up what im about to say remains the same, City have been found out. The trick is to improve when your top and City just haven't done it.
  8. Fergie is a great manager, but every manager has a weak spot and his is tactics, which is why he wins more league title's than cups. If Robbie throws in a surprise either tactically or in the lineup, Fergie will be chasing shadows.
  9. 19 crosses is more than enough for a world class forward to net one and lets say for argument sake he was struggling with the service, wouldn't he then adapt this game a little to make sure he will get the goals? He is a hungry player looking to improve all the time, didn't he say a few weeks ago he needed to improve his free kicks? not long later he hits one in the last minute.
  10. Because when their both on top form Luiz is better and i don't think even the biggest Cahill fan will deny Luiz has a higher ceiling.
  11. Talk Chelsea has member's all across the world and with it different time zone's so i was wondering out of the six time slots weekend matches are usually played, which (for you) is the worst time to lose? For me it has to be either of the Sunday slots. Saturday i usually meet mates and go out to get drunk after a Chelsea game, so i can either take my mind off the game (if we lose) or celebrate it (if we win). Sunday is a different kettle of fish however, Sunday's are bad and boring enough as it is, add a Chelsea defeat and it makes the day even worse. Monday night and weekdays i go to sleep afterwards usually so have no real time to digest the result either way. Losing games are bad enough as it is, but is their a day and time slot (for you) that makes it even worse?
  12. No he's not, he like Luiz is phrone to the odd brain fart aswell (see the Athletico game) just Cahill's are more tactical error's where Luiz's are more mistimed error's, which is why the latter's mistakes get noticed more. Like Henrique said, for a squad player he is fine, but Luiz and JT are the still the first choice centre half's and the stats agree, as does Robbie.
  13. Yes we did but Bayern still created numerous chances in that game. There is also Athletico, Naples, United last season even last week at Spurs to a lesser extent where we were getting carved open for fun with this partnership.
  14. Im worried about their partnership as a whole, both their worst performances in a Chelsea shirt have came when they have been pairing with each other.
  15. My worry is the centre half's. Both Cahill and Luiz are fine with Terry, but im really not convinced on those two as a partnership.
  16. Although it's a strange topic of conversation, it's still relevant as one of the two will play on Sunday and will have to do their fair share of defending from corner kicks. Cech was unproven in goal at a top team (Rennes are practically France's version of Bolton) until Jose decided to stick him in for the first time (ironically in the fixture we are about to play). Im not saying Danny will have the same impact for the next 8 years if he gets selected Sunday, but it's worth thinking, what if Jose played safe and stuck with Carlo?
  17. @Superblue_1986, Agree i can't see us doing well in Europe this season, hopefully we can atleast get to the KO rounds so it avoids us being the first defending Champions to fall at the first hurdle, god that would be embarrassing.
  18. Torres was proven like younameit said, Hasselbaink was a proven forward, does that mean he would come back this season slot in and take us to latter stages of the CL? no. Torres is past it, previous CL display's shouldn't mean he gets picked over Danny, why did we get into the static mess of the two season's prior to this one in the first place? keeping players in the team on reputation. Our players spent the whole of 10/11 getting picked on the basis off their form in the double season. If you mean proven in the fact that did he score against Real Madrid 4 years ago then no Danny isn't as proven as Torres, but compare them in a Chelsea shirt, there is only one winner. Danny may not be the most proven forward in Europe, but he is the best fucking one we have right now, so he should play, period.
  19. How's he getting on in Shanhai?
  20. Spot on, it could be one of those hindsight vital moments, like Cole's goal line clearance in Naples. I actually celebrated the goal because if we win 1-0 at home and finish level with the Ukraine's in 2nd, Oscar's goal will be the one that sends us through.
  21. @zolayes, We made a mere £4m loss on Sutton which all things considered wasn't too bad. Veron i agree is probably up there however. Fleck im a bit too young to remember i was starting to get into football in his last days here.
  22. The only saving grace for me is Liverpool spent that money on Carroll and Henderson. God if they spent that money of Aguero or Falcao @Sh0n3x I wasn't attacking you and what you are saying with fans spoilt wanting this player and that in a way i agree with but with such an ambitious owner it's not unrealistic that Falcao or Cavani could be Chelsea players but even so, would a cheapish new forward (not them 2) who contribute more than Torres and get more goals be hard to find, there's surely another Hernandez out there who will stand in the box and wait for the ball to hit him in the arse.
  23. Making Danny number 1 forward until January is win win. He disappoints we know beyond any doubt we need a forward if he successful we could save millions. Does he have in him to be number 1 forward long term? i have my doubts. Is he the best option until January? you bet.
  24. It happened in the corresponding fixture last season.
  25. @Styles, I done calculation's a few months back and the overall cost to get him in a Chelsea shirt (contract and transfer) is over £100m.
