Wilkins as good as confirmed Torres was 100% a Carlo signing, if anything Roman told him he is getting in a new forward and Carlo got to decide who, which then he choose Fernando. I know Carlo works wonders with old(er) players and he did with us in his first season, but there is one opponent not even Ancelotti can get the better off and that's father time.
-
The debatable thing with Ancelotti is he let's teams stagnate, he did it with Milan and was doing the same with us. The best time to appoint Carlo is when your team has the average age of about 25-26 but he will always leave you with a massive rebuilding job afterwards.

How about we just trust Roman? We were up in arms when Carlo an AVB left and what happened. Yes it is hard seeing a Chelsea legend leave our club, but how about we just trust that Roman makes the correct decision, he isn't Hicks or Gillett, he wants the best for us just as much as we do. He was slated for sacking Carlo and AVB, and in hindsight both have turned out to be the correct decision, if he believes he needs to change then his track record suggest's we should just trust his judgement. I can't say im celebrating right now but the last two manager sackings have taught me to trust the owner.. Thankyou Robbie for everything, you will never be forgotten. On a side note what's happening with Eddie? is he staying on or has he gone too?

Martin O Neil has got money at Sunderland and look where that's getting him. How do you know Moyes will be good with money? he's great at building teams at a limited budget, how do you know he won't fail like Allardyce when he makes the step up. As i said if there is a manager who can come here and work long term then im not going to complain but there is not many of that brand any more, i would wager that unless it's Mourinho or Guardiola, Fergie's successor at United will at best last 2 years.
-
Doing what he thinks right to keep us successful, he has sacked 6 manager's and 5 of them have turned out to be spot on in hindsight, so in future im going to trust his judgement.
-
Ivanovic and Luiz had solid games together last term. Ivanovic and Cahill have played together twice (neither time we kept a clean sheet) we need to wait a while before proclaiming them some great partnership. Plus you say Terry won't be around for ever, Ivan is 29 soon, he isn't too far behind JT himself.
-
It doesn't work like that, in 05/06 we didn't keep a clean sheet against Fulham or Blackburn but we managed too against Arsenal, twice. Last season we kept one against Barca but couldn't against Leicester and Swansea.
-
I think they have both been awful since the International break yet Luiz gets so much more flack, i have seen comments saying Luiz should not even be considered a CB yet in the same comment suggesting Cahill should be a first choice one.
-
It genuinely bemuses when i see comments giving Luiz flack then bigging up Cahill in the same paragraph. Cahill's clearly the new fan sensation, he could probably deliberately score an own goal and most won't bat an eyelid.
-
I can actually see West Ham beating us, we have got weaknesses at the moment that Allardyce will brutally expose.
-
It's simple, Luiz needs Terry next to him to perform his best.
-
I think these last few weeks has taught us a lesson. We still need Frank's experience in the matchday squad's.

I knew this would happen eventually, what difference would Didier have made? He was powerless this time in 2010 and 2008, he was powerless on AVB's final days. He would probably do better than Torres but anyone who thinks Didier around would have yielded different result's need a reality check. The same happened in 2010 when we went six games without a win, all i heard from fellow Chelsea fans that Ballack would have prevented us going into a slump? what like he did under Scolari? He was up for the big games at the end of last season, in the lesser games he was terrible and nothing would have changed this season, really think he would have stepped foot in The Hawthorns this weekend and played out of his skin? Didier is a Chelsea legend but i think the end he made to last season is blinding us to how badly he actually declined in his last two season's at Chelsea, if Drogba stayed it would have been more of the same as last season and this time he might not have had the end of season big games to fall back on.

Speculation of him going on loan to Liverpool is getting stronger.
-
Sir Alex is a one off, we are not going to see another version for a very long time. I am actually glad Roman doesn't have this stability obsession a lot of fans (including me before i saw the light) has, last thing i want us to do is give some clown a 8 year contract. If the right long term man comes along then fine (could be Robbie, if so great), but until then i have no problem with Roman's methods.
-
I thought even before he started scoring Giroud was pretty decent, i didn't understand the stick he got.
-
I meant his moaning after the CL final was when i started to get annoyed at him, since then it's turned into genuine dislike to a Chelsea player for the first time for me and hopefully the last.
-
Torres has never worked for me on fifa, even when i use to sign him from Liverpool he was ineffective, on fifa 13 i use him as a sweetner to get Vidal in.
-
@Strike, I assume your talking about the United CC game? because he was terrible in the league one. Both Cahill and Luiz perform better without each other, Luiz had games with Ivan last season and looked good too and if he played against Swansea and Liverpool im sure similar would have happened to his performance to what did with Cahill, it's just those two together brings our the worst in eachother.
-
Cahill was the most under-rated player in our squad when he signed, he was getting dismissed as "only a Bolton player", now he is "captain material, new JT", it's like some want to compensate for other's harshly dismissing him on arrival. My opinion of him however has been the same from day one, a good squad player.
-
@Sheva., Cahill and Luiz are both equally as responsible for the fact that they can't play together. Without doubt the worst defensive partnership i have ever seen for Chelsea.
-
There won't be, it's likely to be a loan in January to Liverpool which can go two ways. He carry's on performing crap, then we get him back in the summer in worse condition than ever before. He performs decent, meaning the club think there is still something there and we have to listen to the same old song next season. The only hope is Torres is not the typicality mercenary, he rejected 250k a week from City and took a pay cut to move to Liverpool, so the chances of him doing a Bogarde are insanely unlikely.
-
He has his own banner before he kicked a ball, Drogba hasn't got one yet
-
Cahill has been playing average sometimes badly, and he has made mistakes that has led to goals or match changing moments (ie Ivan's red card against United). Against Reading he was making Pogwhatitsface look like Drogba of 09/10. Im not denying Luiz has been poor since the Arsenal game pretty much, but if Cahill has been better lately is really isn't by that much.
-
I also cant stand how he has affected the club. I was sat in the MHL lower against Sunderland when Torres hit the bar and Frank put in the rebound. We all thought Torres scored the goal wild celebration's around me when it was announced as Lampard's goal the whole stand fell silent and was like "ooohhh", embarrassing.
