  1. @rafafan, What reception is he likely to get on April 20th at Anfield? I assume a roaring one? If he does what Houllier did and touches the 'this is Anfield badge' then his relationship with Chelsea fans will be broken beyond repair.
  2. The worst moment was Naples. Thing's looked so bleak that night. The worst performance of 2012 was at Everton in February, that performance was terrible in every single aspect.
  3. Hazard is on a long contract which will be extended after a couple of years most probably. If he progresses as expected it will take huge money to prise him away and Roman invest's without a player sale, so i think it's safe to say if this Real Madrid dream is true what we make for him will be reinvested straight back into strengthening the team. I don't want him to leave but what will be will be, it won't happen for a few years at the very worst so enjoy him, he isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
  4. --------------------Turnbull----------------------- Azpi--------Luiz---------Ivanovic------Bertrand -------------Mikel--------Ramires---------------- Moses------------Oscar-----------------Hazard --------------------Ba (if signed)---------------- Need to rotate a bit, give Mata a rest, Luiz back to CB, (if we apply ourself's properly the defence will effectively be a second midfield anyway), rest Lamps, bring Moses and Mikel back in.
  5. To think some fans resorted to stripping his legend status after the dismissal of AVB. After realizing Lampard wasn't the villian some assumed, you would have thought lesson's would have been learnt the next time we changed manager's.
  6. Torres played a part in getting Mata here. Would it be easier if we pretend we spent £74m on Juan?
  7. I doubt he has been told he will be number 2, its absolutely cringe worthy if he has.
  8. Roman wanted to make this change in the summer, he appointed Robbie because of the fans, if it was Di Canio or someone like that who had no connection with the fans he would have been gone regardless of Munich. Now tell me, who else was available and ready for work better than Benitez? McLeish? he will have you pining for Scolari. Redknapp? He will have us resigning Joe Cole and loads of other shower. Name me one better manager that we could have got in such short notice? If Hiddink was a free agent then i could maybe understand the annoyance but their was no one better around. It wasn't perfect under Robbie, far from it, i would not have sacked him so soon myself, but we were conceding goals left, right and centre and the way WBA lost their way in RDM's final days will have concerned Roman. But anyway, Robbie will have a successful career now his stock is up, because of us he has gone for being turned down by Birmingham City to linked with Valencia.
  9. Rafa was signed because he was the best around that was available and ready for work , nothing to do with Torres.
  10. Ever since Courtios was signed i was wondering if the sad rum-our that Cech might have to retire early is true. If not then signing Courtios would have made absolutely no sense.
  11. Does that mean we can say Liverpool brought him for us if he flops
  12. Then after a few performances it went too far the other way. Ba will prove to be a good signing, if we can get Falcao in the summer even better.
  13. If Mourinho and Pep end up in Manchester (that is possible) i reckon Rafa is one of the very very few that can prevent us from falling way behind both clubs. Why search the globe for a high profile manager (most likely with no PL experience) when we have got one already.
  14. Houllier left the academy in a dire straight, Rafa transformed it and infact brought in the players Brendan Rodgers is promoting today.
  15. Its not even the results, i done a bit of reserch and actually listened to what good Liverpool fans had to say about him. What is swinging it for me is the work he did at the academy in Liverpool.
  16. Fuck it im just going to go out and say it. Give him the job.
  17. He does if you look closely makes some crazy tactical decision's, his defending for Holt's chance I am a big believer in credit where it's due however and he was outstanding today.
  18. Wiki says he scored 13 goals this season, are they including his two against Arsenal?
  19. So he is in line to get the job full time? Good, if we can't get Jose or Pep he is the best option out there whether we like it or not.
  20. I bet you weren't saying that when Hazard was convinced to come here instead of United or City. The situation with Torres is different to Lampard, Lampard is out of contract this summer, Torres is not. Im all for getting Torres off the wagebill but we need to find a buyer.
  21. The football he brings is dire. I watched a few Villa games last season, i don't even like Villa but they were painful to watch, god only knows how Villa fans felt. They only had one good game last season and we all know which one that was. But he does know how to build a solid defense however (even if that is at the expense off a non existent attack) so hopefully Hutch can benefit from that.
  22. Im worried about the defence, unless Rafa selects Bertrand all off our backline would have played at Carrow Road.
  23. the same game's we picked a whopping 1 point out of 6 last season?
  24. He started his career as a midfielder but nearly got realized due to poor performances in that position. I actually think Rafa has been clever putting him in against teams who won't attack us that much, but there was a reason he wasn't put there against Corinthians. CB is still is best position for me.
  25. Rafa slagged us off in the past, but atleast he did it when he was not on our payroll like some have done. Mourinho and Ronaldo kept bitching about each other when they were at Chelsea and United, it's what you do when your rivals for trophy's, do whatever it takes to get the upper hand. Do you really think Ronaldo and Mourinho held what they said against each other when they were both at the same club? no they forgot about it and got on with delivering success for Real Madrid. Rafa has bitched about us in the past, we gave it back to him and then some, but right now he is our manager, he wants success for this club like we do, we want the same thing so how about we pull in the same direction? He said what he said in 2007 to get under our skin and get the upper hand and it worked. If our clash at Old Trafford is a title decider he will do exactly the same back. Jose has bitched about us since he has left, "he wants to kill us", "i have carried on winning big trophies, Chelsea have carried on winning something", then bleated afterwards (Inter's 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge) about how the Bridge is his fortress not Chelsea's. Rafa will do exactly the same with Liverpool if we ever end up in a title fight with them while Rafa is our manager.
