There is still some die hard Torres defenders Encourage him when he is playing yes, but how any one can even begin to defend his performances or attitude at Chelsea is beyond me. @Backstreet09, respect works both ways, should we respect a player who clearly does not respect us? A player who moaned a day after Munich that we didn't play him ahead of a serial cup final scorer, a player who admitted he didn't care, a player who resorted to use the service excuse himself, a player who sulked when he wasn't chosen to take a pen in Munich (two months after refusing to take one away at Birmingham when we were 2-0 up) a player who walked down the tunnel when he (deservedly) got subbed for a superior striker. He has the cheek to moan about his role after serving us a year and a half of complete shite "this was not what i expected when i joined" well maybe if he earned the role he was expecting he might have got it. I don't like him, and it's not because of his displays, i respected and loved Sheva because he knew he was playing bad (but even he was Messi compared to Torres) and done everything in his power to change that. Torres genuinely believes he deserves to be number 1 forward, the guy is fucking deluded. I have never disliked a Chelsea player before, not even Bogarde, say what you like about him but he still done his part of the contract, turned up to training, kept himself fit and available for selection if he was ever recalled (like Malouda is doing now), would Torres even do that if he was frozen out? judging by his attitude so far i have my severe doubts.

Silly isn't it and in the meantime our other forward announces he didn't care about results and no one bats an eyelid.

Actually Falcao has played in the CL, in 09/10 and scored the winner against Arsenal, he even played against us.

Good knows what he thinks about the damage being done to his number.

Wow £7m what a bargain by Villa, we really missed a trick with him, what an alternative he would have been to you know who. Next summer maybe offer Villa £20m plus Lukaku on loan (assuming the latter's loyalty to WBA fans doesn't hinder it) those two together could be dynamite for years to come. I will be delighted if we can get him.

What Was The Most Absurd Appointment
Tomo replied to Changingman_2000's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Steve Clarke was manager in 07-08 not Avram. -
He's anything but, good squad player but that's it, basically our version of Johnny Evans.

To say we need his experience and leadership more than ever is a massive understatement.

Working miracles with limited funds does not mean you will rule the world when you have got money to spend, ask Allardyce or Roy although the former will probably reply by telling you he belongs at Real Madrid.

I call them Drogba and Torres.

I wonder how many Chelsea players (past and present) privately have the same views on Torres as most of us.

Although i agree he probably doesn't care about this club, this is a chance to save his career that he cannot afford to fuck up. No top club has touched him since Inter, even Liverpool choose an inexperienced manager over him, he needs his reputation rebuilt and this is his best chance. If he says gets us comfortable top 3, playing better while picking up one or two of the three knockout cups on offer to him, then big clubs will have him on their radar for top jobs again, if he fucks this chance up, his career as a top level manager is over.

Why do you hate Roman then? Because he sacked a club legend? Bates done that as-well, twice.

I can't find a video for it but it was similar to the one against Stoke, one on one and somehow the keeper not only saved it but caught it too.

Never ever disliked a Chelsea player before he came along. It's not because of bad performances that i can live with, it is just his general attitude towards them and the club, his delusion that he geuinenly believes he deserves the number 1 spot and has even resorted to use the service excuse himself , now you can imagine that coming from his most blinkered fan (who we happen to have on this forum), but the man himself Sheva flopped here but i had nothing but admiration for him, he adknowleged he was playing bad and did everything in his power to change things and i thought he was slowly doing that before we let him go but Nando's general attitude stinks. 2 great chances today he missed, the late on made us all forget the one i the first half which was just as bad, and he had the cheek to moan about not starting in Munich over Drogba, fuck off.

If i hear one more excuse for him .........................

Its ok get a corner Didier will get on the end off it

Basically anyone but himself? First it's Malouda's fault, then it's Drogba's then it's Carlo's, then Mata's, Hazard's and now the staff anyone but poor Fernando. Face it he has failed at Chelsea because he has turned into a seriously poor football player, and that is the beggining, middle and the end of it.

The threads are not going back to the last unread for me. For example the CWC thread always goes to page 14 when i click it and the Benitez thread always goes to page 99 when i click it instead of last unread comment. Is their a reason for this?

Thats the thing tho, he has got a little bit better these last few games but a little bit is good enough for a squad player but a number one forward is not near enough. Kalou was a squad player and he was having little burst's of form ever now and again like Torres is now.

Came out wrong, hench i edited my quote.
